Why can't I get a purchased song to load on my iPhone?

Why can't I get a purchased song from iTunes to load on my iPhone? I haven't had this problem before? Any clues as to what I am not doing properly, please help.

My purchased song from itunes is on a laptop at work and I can not get it to transfer to my IPhone. The laptop is a shared computer but my job is coming to an end and I would like to recover the purchased songs and delete everyhting before I leave.
Any other ideas on have to move the purchased songs from the laptop?

If it's iTunes purchased music then you might be able to re-download it on your iPad via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app - it will download into the Music app. If you want your other music from your computer's iTunes (e,g. music copied from CDs and playlists) then you will need to sync it from your computer's iTunes to your iPad's Music app.

Do you get a send error message or a red "!" when you send? Do you have a data plan on your account? Check that your carrier has you provisioned for MMS.

We don't know how to answer because we don't know what you are doing.
I can tell you that you cannot connect the two devices together to transfer content. And videos do not work in Photo Stream, but it does work for photos. However, you can only stream photos to the device after you have enabled photo stream on the iPad. Any photos that were already on the phone - before you turned on Photo Stream -will not sync to the iPad.

I assume that you mean that you do have an iPhone because messages will not work with any other type of cell phone. You should be able to add your phone number in Settings>Messages>Send & Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at, if your phone number is lited in there, select it and then uncheck your email address and then the iPad will be using the phone number just like the iPhone.
If you phone number is not listed in there, you probably have to sign out/turn off Messages on the phone and the iPad and then start over again on the phone - and then your phone number should be accessible to use on the iPad.

Why can't I get a purchased 1080p movie to stream to my Apple TV?

I purchased Prometheus last night from the iTunes Store and have my settings so that I download the 1080p version vs. the 720p (you are allowed to download all three resolutions when you purchase). It's the first full 1080p movie I have purchased from iTunes. I have a private network set up in my room specifically for streaming movies from my iMac to my Apple TV (ethernet to router, Apple TV connects to said router). This setup has worked for all movies purchased in standard definition and even for some 720 rips i made myself with no problems. I click Prometheus on the Apple TV and I get the loading ring that never goes away and the movie never starts. My guess is that it is because of it's substantial size, though, it's not much larger than some of my 720p rips. Since my network is not connected to the internet,a nd speed of the wireless router may be a factor, how can I test this speed? Or if anyone has any suggestions as to how I can play this movie that I purchased, your help is appreciated.

After itunes upgrade to 7.6, why can't I play previously purchased songs?

Some of my previously purchased songs from the itunes store will not play since I upgraded to 7.6. They played on this computer before, but it now says,"This computer isn't authorized to play this song." I checked permissions, ran disk utility,and don't have the locked checked. I don't want to waste any of my 5 authorizations. I recall this happening to me on a previous upgrade, but I don't remember the solution. All help would be appreciated.

In iTunes, click Store > Deauthorize Computer until it says you're not authorized. Then, choose Store > Authorize Computer.

Even if you do end up with 2 authorizations on one computer, once you reach 5 iTunes gives you the option to Deauthorize All computers, once per year. So, it's not like you'll never recapture that authorization.

iPhone is designed not to be able to transfer content that way. You can import photos and videos ( http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4083 ) but there are limits/restrictions. For example, you can sync music that you downloaded from the internet to the iPhone, but not transfer it back to a computer. This has everything to do with music rights/legal stuff, you can only transfer purchased items from the phone to a computer using iTunes.

Why can't I get my pre order to download on my iphone?

I downloaded some pre ordered music to my mac this morning but I cannot get the music to show up in my purchased items on my iphone so I can download it there also. I'm at work and cannot sync my phone with my work computer so I would like to redownload the music directly to my iphone. The account is the same so why can't I see the music in recent purchases? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have same problem....I get 'paused message not enough memory'. .deleted stuff have plenty of memory..still getting message. Searching for suggestion???

Not all content is available for re-download from iTunes.
If the content is on the computer the device syncs with, simply sync it to the device.

Somehow in taking pictures off my ipod on my wife's computer my operating system decided there is nothing on my ipod. Are you sure you are logged into the same iTunes account on your phone?
Settings > iTunes and App Stoores > log in with your Apple ID
