Why Can't I Get My Music to Play Again After an Update?

Hi all
I downloaded the latest update on my iPod. Afterwards I found my purchased music would no longer play. They show up on my playlists, and under My Music on my iPod, but they will not play. They just skip to the next song. I tried resetting, but the same issue exists. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem without losing any of my songs? Any help is appreciated.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
You can always redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

If you are running OS X 10.7.2 then you will be able to use AirPort Utility 5.6.

Why can't I get my music on my iPad from iTunes?

I have been trying for hours to get my music from my iTunes on to my iPad. I have iCloud and I have iTunes Match too but for some reason my iPad wont sync. I have purchased a song from my iPad and it has saved to iTunes but not to my iPad. I have tried clicking on the little cloud symbol in the iTunes Store and it says downloading but then when I go back to my music app there is still nothing there. Can anyone help?

I have not had any trouble with my Ipod until tonight. It shows green on the docking station but when I try to use it, I can't get any music. It flashes orange when I push the volume control, thinking maybe I just needed to up the volume. I haven't used it in several days and it has been on the station all that time.

Does this only happen when your ipod is connected to your computer? I'm running into similar problems but it's only when it's connected to the USB.

TS3899 Why can't I get my Gmail account to work after my ipad reset?

Took my ipad to Apple store due to a software problem which was fixed by doing a reset. I then restored and backed up/sync'd my ipad in ITunes and iCloud. Now I can't get my gmail account to work on my iPad. It won't send or receive emails and I keep getting the message that my user name or password are incorrect, which I know they are not. The message is "the user name or password for imap.gmail.com is incorrect"... I tried deleting and re-adding the account, powering down the iPad but to no avail. I can log into to gmail on my computer so I know I have the correct password. Any thoughts or ideas? Don't really want to go back to the Apple Store again....

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Why can't I get this extension to show up after I download it, help with code?

Is there an error in the source code somwhere, here is the url https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/wisecampus-1/. I created this extension with the app builder where it generates a zip and you modify it to what you want. I made very little changes, I just would like to have a button on the toolbar that launches the site when clicked. If someone with more experience could take a look at the source code and possibly help me get this up and running it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

In the '''overlay.css''' file the '''''wcextension-toolbar-button - list-style-image''''' shows the '''''url''''' as http://www.wisecampusbooks.com/images/WC_icon2.jpg . Shouldn't it point to the '''toolbar-button.png''' image in the \chrome\skin\ folder instead?
I can see the image from that URL when the toolbar button is sitting in the Customize Palette, but the image disappears when the button is moved to a Toolbar. I think that using a web based image in the UI is a security fault, which Firefox is blocking. Something like that could potentially be used to "track" a user or to count how often that button is clicked.

Why can't I get a DVD to play through a projector via my SuperDrive?

I have a brand new MacBook Air 13" with an external superdrive connected. I connect an external Epson projector to display my screen up on the wall. When I insert my DVD in the Superdrive I can run it on my MBA screen no problem but it will not project through the Epson. All I get is a gray and white checkered pattern on the wall.
I can use my son's new MacBook Pro and Epson and project the DVD just fine.
This is a training DVD that I need to run for classes I teach and need to be able to use the SuperDrive and my MacBook Air. What's up?

How are you connecting your projector (Thunderbolt, RCA, S-Video, HDMI?)
In System Preferences:Display does the projector show up and have a profile? It should. You may have to change the resolution/refresh rate (signal) of that profile in order to get the video to show up. Depending on your connector you might not be able to choose a compatible resolution and refresh rate (Study the information included with your projector) . . . in that case you might need to use a different adaptor/connection.

Why can't I get any Actions to play?

All the loaded actions worked yesterday....none will play today. I can bring up yesterday's work and continue to work on the action run, however, when I closed that out and went to another project, I was unable to run any action loaded. I deleted the actions and re-entered turning off the computer after each action loaded. Still would not work. I finally uninstalled 11 and then re-installed it. Still no luck. I hope someone can tell me what I am doing wrong!! Are ACTIONS suppose to be a preset folder? I don't have a preset Actions folder in my program files...not even after I re-installed.

Are you doing a Software Update or downloading directly from Apple?
If Software Update, instead download the combo 10.6.8 update from here. Use Disk Utility (on your hard drive in application/utilities) to repair permissions, then apply the combo update, and when done, repair permissions again. You'll be at 10.6.8 at that point.

Not a good idea.
What you could do, is have the Library content on the external hard drive and simply tell your iTunes programme to look on the hard drive for your music etc.. However, once you set that up, that hard drive needs to be connected and ready to read, before you start the iTunes programme. If it isn't ready, iTunes will simply go back to the default location for the music, find nothing and then you'll be back here saying that you've lost your Library.

I finally solved this problem after toiling with it for a couple of days. Solution: Once you have burned your CD you must go back into iTunes to your music/playlists and select the playlist you just burned and click file; print and you will get the mosaics that we have been accustomed to. I was on hold with Apple Support when I found this myself. Yes......!!! Problem solved..for me anyway. Good luck!
