Why can't I get my old bookmarks and passwords back using the 'Old Firefox Data' folder?

Ok.....
I have just recovered my Samsung laptop back to the day I purchased it (for a fresh start)
I have the 'Old Firefox Data' folder on an external hard drive that was created a few weeks ago when I refreshed Firefox
I've tried this many times but with no luck what so ever:

I've re-installed Firefox 3 times
I've created new profiles and deleted others
2 Days down and I'm still can't get any of my bookmarks or passwords etc and for some reason when I create a new profile I can't find it as it's not in the location 'Profile Manager' says it is.
I'm now total lost and getting stressed out as I really need this data.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I've been able to restore/apply all of my data (bookmarks, passwords etc) on my girl friends computer without any issues at all, therefore it's not something I'm doing wrong.
I've been so involved with trying to get my profile back on my computer I hadn't noticed that Firefox is not operating as it should, I've found:
- I'm unable to view/open my profile folder from 'Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder' (when I click 'Show Folder' nothing happens) however when I go to 'C:\Users\AutoStar\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles' I can view the data.
- I'm unable to save any bookmarks
- Sometimes when I try to close a tab it will not close as such however once the 'x' is clicked I'm then unable to view the page but the tab still stays visible
As I said I recovered the laptop back to the day I purchased it (for a fresh start) so Firefox was a fresh install I've also uninstalled and re-installed a few times now but the result is always the same.
Any ideas?

Your profile might have been corrupted during the upgrade. I suggest trying a new profile. Close Firefox, then on the Windows start menu, type or paste this into the Run or search box:

Create a new profile, which will be more or less plain vanilla. Assuming that works normally, you can move key settings like bookmarks from your problem profile to the new profile, see: [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Recovering+important+data+from+an+old+profile Recovering important data from an old profile].
If that doesn't work, here's the process to roll back.
Due to security vulnerabilities, rolling back to Firefox 4.0.1 is not recommended. Firefox 3.6.18 would be the safer choice.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
Close Firefox 5.
You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
Note: When you first start up, you might be in the new blank profile. In that case, close Firefox and use the profile manager to switch back to your default profile.

Why can't I delete a user name and password from saved passwords in iOS 7? I found them and they are not anything that I am familiar with? They are from a t-com.de. I have been to Germany in the last month. Not sure if there is any association. Any thoughts?

You found them ... where? Are they in Safari somewhere?
If so, do Settings > Safari > Clear History and Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies and Data
If that doesn't clear them (and they are from Safari), try Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data and clear that area.

In Camera Raw 8.4.1 I can open dngs from 3 years ago, but it's using the old interface and functionality not the current - how do I change this. Have rebuilt cache.

Running Creative Cloud on an HP with 18Gb Ram - I'm working on a project using 3 yr old dngs and when I open in my up to date Camera Raw it uses the old interface with 'contrast' towards the bottom and 'recovery' below 'exposure' - how do I get Camera Raw to open with the current interface?

If you're referring to the Process version, you set that in the Camera Calibration tab of ACR.
Also keep in mind that any images with prior adjustments will show the Process used when they were adjusted. That can also be changed in that tab.

The apple ID can refer to either the iTunes store or iCloud accounts. I'll assume you mean iCloud. Go to Settings>iCloud. Scroll to bottom of page and enter your ID and password for iCloud.

Double-check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars to confirm that your Comcast account is still set up on your devices. If it is, there may be a problem at Comcast's end. Google only wants you to connect with applications that use the newer OAuth 2.0 protocol. Thunderbird, Microsoft Outlook, and some other mail clients do not support that. So you need to change a setting in Gmail to "Allow less secure apps".

I can see all the different activities I have on iCal on my MBP but I can't see them on my iPhone 3GS? I use iCloud and the setting for calendar is turned on. I also refreshed my iCal and then refreshed the calendars on my iPhone. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance. Also, step by step instructions to fix this issue would be great.

HP printers tend to have long names. Try renaming your printer to something more simple.
Click on System Preferences in the dock or from the menu after clicking the apple icon (top left)
Under Hardware choose Print & Scan
Right-click or Ctrl+Click on your HP Printer and choose rename printer
Type a new name e.g. My Printer (you can also add a location if you wish)
Then click OK
