Why can't I get on line after updating to firefox 16?

Firefox updated to version 16. Since then I cannot access the internet with firefox. Internet explorer works fine. Reverting to a restore point allows firefox to access the internet again. Removing firefox as an excepted program through the firewall and then adding it back did not fix it. I still can't get on line with firefox 16.

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Same problem here. After installing iOS 5, restoring, and syncing... when I clicked on the music icon on my iPad, none of my songs were there. All I saw was "download music from iTunes store." But, on iTunes, when I clicked on my iPad icon (then Music), it showed that all of my songs were synced!
So, this is what worked for me, I rebooted my iPad.
I turned off my iPad by holding down the sleep button for about 5 seconds, then the "Slide to power off" came up, and I powered off my iPad.
Then, I started it up again, and clicked on the music icon on my iPad, and now all of my synced music showed up.
I hope this helps some of you guys out there.

Can't get my third Ipod update to new ios version. Why?

My first Ipod, 32 gig, was updated with Itunes and the updates were fine. Then I got a 64 gig Ipod and it was updated fine. Then I got an Ipad and started updating it with no problems . . . . until an update of itunes last year. I can't quite remember when, but I'm thinking I read that I could only have two ios update per Itunes. I can use Itunes for sync and monitoring my apps, but no updates were permitted. My other question is, Can I start up another small lap top with Itunes and use my account to update my third Ipod?

After updating to iOs 6 when I try to connect to my wifi network it pops up with the apple website and login and says the page you requesed cant be found on the pop up.??

The Apple Support person walked me thru this. If you have the classic 'greyed out' wifi problem with your iPhone 4s. Very easily fixed:
Read all instructions before starting:
1. Try to toggle on/off airplane mode check.
2. Try the old turn on/off trick. Check.
3. Try resetting Network Settings. Settings > General > Reset Network Settings Check.
4. Ensure your phone is backed up to iCloud before proceeding. Very important you do this. Check.
5. Wipe your phone. Settings > General > Reset All Settings. Keep in mind this will wipe your phone but you have that iCloud back up.
6. Check if wifi is working. No, then no prolbem: You have the option to have your 4s fixed which is probably out of warranty. No deal? Ok, you have the option of purchasing a new phone? Still no deal? Proceed to next step if these options are no good and you decide to live without wifi.
7. Restore your phone from the iCloud. Oh, you don't have wifi. Then you can't restore your phone.
This is where i got dropped off the bus.

After updating my iPhone to 5.0.1 my calendar lost the ability to be updated. I used to have a little + sign that I can enter appointments adn reminders. I lost ability and would like it back. Any suggestion?

Why can't I recover my bookmarks after Setup new Firefox virgin Although I have Sync Key ?

Before I Change my old OS I created an account on Firefox Sync to backup my bookmarks, after Installing new OS windows 8.1 specifically and setup new Firefox virgin "29.0.1" then trying to retrieve my data using my Sync key I figure out that I can't because the system has changed , please I need support immediately.

To access data that was stored using the old Sync version you would have to install a Firefox 28 version and restore your data from the Sync server.
After having done this you can update to Firefox 29.0.1 and use the new Sync version.

How can I restore my settings, etc. after update to Firefox 20 reset everything?

Windows 7 Starter, Firefox 20; running from non-administrator account (possibly the cause of issues):
I updated to Firefox 20, and everything was reset (i.e. homepage, bookmarks, passwords, addons).
I searched online for solutions but it hasn't helped me (i.e. Profile Manager).
I located the profiles folder, and it contains one folder called: shunltlp.default
the folder seems to have all the necessary files, e.g. bookmarks, key3, etc.
How can I get Firefox to use these files, and restore my settings, etc.?

Thanks for the reply.
I had been to that page during my search for solutions but found it a bit confusing, although I did create a new profile but didn't understand the choose folder part.
I re-read the instructions and I have been able to restore my old profile.
So, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Re: running my Firefox from a non-administrator account
I think this may have been the cause of the profile problem.
I.e. when I selected 'Choose a folder' when creating the new profile, the default folder path was Administrator> etc., where as my old profile was not there, but in Username> etc. folder path...
I understand browsing from a non-administrator account is the sensible security option, but is causes other problems when installing updates...

Can't find the "stop" button after updating to firefox 8

I just updated to Firefox 8 and can no longer find the "stop" button to prevent a website from loading if I inadvertently hit the enter button too soon. I looked under customize toolbar but don't see it. Icons I've got are back, forward, address bar, star, down arrow reload, google search bar, popup blocker, and home.

have been using firefox for a while updated this morning an now it will not start up, page goes blank and says something to the effect that firefox can not access the web through the browser, bing is what i use, i like firefox because i can block the adds and it helps me do things faster in a couple of games i play please help.

YouTube Content Creators have the ability to disable embedding if they wish to keep their videos on YouTube only. This is most likely what has occurred and is more than likely not an issue with Firefox itself.

Why can`t I get the"@" symbol to appear using FireFox version 4´?

Hi.
I`m using a Toshiba laptop and I`m running Windows 7.
(Please note: I don`t have the following problem when I use Microsoft Internet Explorer, or when I`m using Microsoft Word.)
Every single time I try to generate the "@" symbol I get ".
The same type of thing happens for any other alternate character or symbol I try to generate by pressing the SHIFT-KEYand the desired key on the keyboard.
It`s REALLY frustrating because I`ve always loved Firefox.

Why can't I sync my ipod after update

After doing the latest update, my ipod, iPad and iPhone is no longer recognised in iTunes. None of the devices I have are connecting or showing in connected devices box, it is all greyed out. I have run the device test on iTunes but it says there is an error and it cannot find any connected devices. Please help, this update has driven me crazy as my iTunes and my devices always connected with no problems.
