Ever since I upgraded firefox about 2 weeks ago I no longer have Adobe Flash so a lot of my e-mails won't even open up. I can't get anything from YouTube. When I try to install Adobe Flash Player I get a message that says since I have Mozilla I can't get it. Is there a work around?
ThanksYou have Shockwave Flash 7.0 r19 installed for Firefox, in addition to Shockwave Flash 10.2 r153. You need to get rid of that old version which is overriding Firefox from using the later version.
See if you can remove that old version from the Control Panel > Add /Remove Programs. If it isn't listed there, remove the NPSWF32.dll file for that version from the \Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\ folder - (right-click that file and open Properties and then view the Version tab to verify it is that old version of Flash, if you have more than one of those files in that folder.) -

I have Windows 7 and my laptop is fairly new. I want to install Adobe Flash Player because when i go to Youtube it just shows a black screen for videos, Facebook doesn't load completely, when i go to google images, If i type in the most basic search for example "the grand canyon" no images will pop up...It just says cant find image and some other crap so thats when i knew something was wrong..But when I go to Adobe Flash Player and try to install it, The Install button doesnt even pop up, but sometimes it does but even when it does I'll click on it but nothing happens..it wont start the download or anything..Please Help.

Why can I not install Adobe Flash Player on my computer ?
I am not able to install Adobe Flash Player on my computer. I have uninstalled a previous version. The new version says the installation was successful, but there is no installation.
Hi, I don't know. It is not too helpful to only know that you have a computer.

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
Apps that can display some Flash from the Web:
Puffin
SkyFire
Photon Flash
Browse2Go
iSwifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that." -
When I try to download adobe flash player everything goes fine and the download finishes. When asked to install I get a message that says it will not install while an application is running. Which is Mozilla Firefox
Adobe Shockwave Flash needs to install plugins for Firefox, and Flash needs to do that with Firefox closed. So close Firefox and run the Flash installer.

Why can't i install adobe flash player 10.2
i have vista, 34 bit; sp 1; IE8. i have adobe 8, which came installed on my computer.
i am trying to install adobe 10.2, and get as far as step 2. after seemingly downloading everything, i get the message "error: installation failed."
how do i continue with this download?
(p.s., i did look this up in the forum, but find only help for people with windows. maybe i need better glasses.)The downloads are probably .dmg files (disk images). You would open the disk image (double-click it) to find the application or an installer. If it's the application itself, you then drag the application to your Applications folder to "install" it. If it's an installer, double-click the installer to run the installer that installs the application.
NOTE: If you iMac is Intel, it's not a PPC G5. -
Why can't I download adobe flash player-I have tried several times
Why can't I download adobe flash player, I have tried everal times
The download does not install Flash. You should find the downloaded file in your Downloads folder. Double-click on the .dmg file then double-click on the installer icon once the disc image has been mounted.

Why can't I download Adobe Flasher?
Why can't I download Adobe Flasher?

I understand what afevrier is talking about and I am having the same issue. I can look under system preferences, flash player, advanced and it shows me that I have the most current plug in version. I click check now and I downloaded the most current version, but still, cannot access any thing that requires Adobe Flash. There must be some other preference that we have set up that is not allowing us to use this. Thoughts from anyone??
A few questions. Where in Adobe Flash System Preferences does it say you have the most current version before you click Check Now? In my Flash Preferences at least, if I have the latest version I will be told that and not be offered to download it again. You can also find out what the most current version is by checking here http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ as well as what Adobe sees you have installed.
What browser are you using Flash in? Do you have any extensions installed, such as NoScript or Ghostery which sometimes interfere with Flash working? There are other extensions too which cause such problems but are IMHO essential none-the-less for reasonably safe surfing. -

Why can't I install Adobe Digital Editions on my iPad?
Why can't I install Adobe Digital Editions on my iPad?
I have the same question.
IPad Air 2, iOS 8.1.2. I ordered some ebooks that required the download of Adobe Digital Editions. I select the supplied link to the Adobe site, select download, and I am given the option of windows or Mac OS. I wandered through the site and even googled an iOS version with no luck. I thought maybe the Mac OS version might be universal to apple products so I downloaded it and tried to open it in One Note, One Drive, and Google My Drive with no luck. The .dmg file is not recognized. So, I'm back to looking for an iOS version. Is there one? -

Because eight years ago, when Apple developed it, Steve Jobs was adamant that iOS NEVER EVER EVER be compatible with Flash. That... will never change.
Apple says to use "SkyFire" as your browser if you must view Flash content (which they do not recommend you do with an iPad). It's free in the App Store. -
