Why can't I install Premiere Elements 11

After downloading Premier Elements 11, I get the message that there is an error and it cannot be installed. The download is  PremiereElements_11_WWEFDJ_win32 (2).7z and there is a problem with the last two digits apparently, anyone able to help on this one?

Hi fready49,
An attempt to re-download the same file twice will add (2) at the end of the file name.
Please remove the (2) from the file name so that its named : PremiereElements_11_WWEFDJ_win32.7z
and then double click the downloaded .exe file to begin the installation.

Rave

  • Why can't I validate Premiere Elements 12

Why can't I validate Premiere Elements 12  & Photoshop Elements 12 after successful serial number registrations?  Both are legitimate programs. I reinstalled as trial versions so that I could key in my serial numbers with no luck ! I have 3 days left before programs stop working!  I also chatted with an adobe rep with no help / resolution at all. He wanted to refer me to a technician who could help with my event viewer & have me pay for it! ... what a wise guy!! So far I received no help regarding my adobe programs! Please help!

On what computer operating system are you trying to install Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12? For now I will assume Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
Did you purchase these programs from Adobe direct as online downloads? Are you trying to install them one at a time with antivirus and
    firewall(s) disabled?
    1. Go to Control Panel/Programs and confirm that these programs are not listed under installed program.
    2. Make sure
    a. anti-virus and firewall(s) are disabled
    b. do a ccleaner run through (regular cleaner and registry cleaner parts)
    CCleaner - Download
    c. install Premiere Elements 12...if any problems, please look at

Assure that you are running the program from a User Account with Administrative Privileges and with Run As Administrator applied (see right click of desktop icon)
Be sure to have QuickTime (latest version) installed on the computer with Premiere Elements 12.
Also, we might delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file or the whole 12.0 Folder in which it exists....but that is on hold for now.
Also, we might create a new User Account with Administrative Privileges and install and run program there....but that is on hold for now.
If you want to do your own looking at the Event Viewer - right click Computer listing, select Manage, Event Viewer, Windows Logs and Application under Windows Logs. Look for an error or warning that appears related to the time and date of your failure event.
    Please review and consider.
We will be watching for your follow up.

  • Why can't I install Photoshop Elements 8 on my computer?

I currently have Windows 7 - I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 at Best Buy over a week ago and still can't install the software.  I've contacted Adobe Support more than once.  My experience has been HORRIBLE.
    1.     I went online and verified that my system meets all of the requirements for this program.
    2.     I went through every single trouble shooting item I could find.  This has taken me approximately 2 days.
    3.     I called Adobe Support and spoke with someone who couldn't understand what I was saying and kept telling me that he could not help me because i bought this through a 3rd party online service - no, I didn't... I bought this from Best Buy!  I had to repeat this more than 4x before he finally understood what I was saying.
    4.     He suggested I download the trial version from the Adobe website.  (I'm thinking, why would I do this when I paid $100 for the actual software?)  But I tried it anyway.
    5.     Since I've downloaded the trial version, it's been working OK - but now I'm trying to enter my serial number before my trial ends and it's pulling up as an invalid serial number!
    6.     I go back to Best Buy to return this so I can just purchase the program online - they will not take it back and says I have to go through Adobe... (sigh)... here we go again.
    7.     I call Adobe again, spoke with someone else who was having a difficult time understanding me.  I explained everything above - he told me I have to uninstall my trial version and install the program with the software... THIS DOES NOT WORK!  (Which is what I told him in the beginning of the call)
Does anyone have any input on how I can attempt to install this on my computer, or am I really out $100 on my very first Adobe product?  I'm beginning to lose faith in this very troublesome experience... =(  I would love to speak with someone who can understand what I am asking and what kind of help I am looking for.  I just need to be able to install the software with a valid serial number, or instructions to just return this product all together.
    Please help!

    Hi Rosera,
This is bad and I am sorry to hear that you are running into these issues.
Let me connect with you, so right now, the current state is that you have installed copy of PSE 8 in trial on your windows 7 machine, and when you are trying to enter the serial number from your PSE 8 Box, it is saying the serial number to be invalid?
It might sound pretty obvious, but please make sure that you are entering the serial number correctly and of PSE 8(in case you bought a PEPE box)?
Have you tried the steps mentioned below by Barbara?
If possible, you can send me the serial number through PRIVATE MESSAGE and I can check it on my end that whether the serial number is indeed invalid or that the issue is with your machine?

  • How can I re-install premiere elements 12 without cd or serial

My Packard Bell laptop came with Premiere Elements 12 pre-installed. I recently had to uninstall it due to problems but now find I cannot re-install as no CD/DVD or serial number was supplied with the laptop.
Can anyone suggest a solution please?

    amber654
If you have Premiere Elements 12 as a pre-install, then you do not have the installation files or the serial number at hand unless Packard Bell gave it to you at purchase of the computer.
    1. To try to track down the serial number....go to Adobe web site http://www.adobe.com, sign in with your Adobe ID and password, in Search field type My Products. Then follow the My Products link to your products at Adobe. In the list of products that Adobe has listed for you, click on Adobe Premiere Elements 12 to reveal the serial number.
If we are lucky, that listing should have been established after Sign In at the end of the original installation. We hope. If not, no way.
    2. If you need 12 installation files, then download and install the tryout files from the following link and insert your purchased serial number in them during installation.
    http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-elements-12-direct-download-links-premiere.html
Just make sure that you read and carry out carefully the web site's Note: Very Important Instructions otherwise you will run into an Access Denied message.
Please let us know the outcome.
    Thanks.

  • Answer to my question: Why can I not use Premiere Elements 12 on my PC with WIndows 8.1 when the video is done with the same software on a PC with Windows 7?

i got an answer to use archive function from Mr. Romano:
I did as you said, but it did not work, I get the dummy video with no real video.
I had no menu yet on the video.
What came in my mind when I read your e-mail, on one PC is WIndows 8.1 64 bit and on the other Windows 7 32 bit.
When I load the videos from the camrecorder (tape) with Premiere Elements without doing something, I can switch to the other PC and it works.

How did you go about transferring the Premiere Elements 12 project on Windows 7 64 bit to Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 8.1 64 bit.
Therein is what I believe is your problem. You in all likelihood do not have a codec problem of any kind, rather Premiere Elements 12 project on Windows 8.1 64 bit with disconnect between it source media and the project file. Here is how it goes.
When you import a file into Premiere Elements project, what you have in Premiere Elements is a copy of the original which is still at its hard drive save location. But the project must trace back to that original on its hard drive save location.
You may have the project.prel (project file) opening in Premiere Elements 12 on the second computer, but what I suspect to be the case is that you do not have the project media on that second computer.
If so....On the first computer, archive the project with File Menu/Project Archiver and its Copy Project option. Transfer the resulting saved Copied Folder to a USB Flash Drive which will be used to transfer the Copied Folder to the second computer. In the second computer, open the Copied Folder, right click the project.prel file in the Copied Folder, select Open With, and then Premiere Elements 12.
Did you set up disc menu in the Premiere Elements 12 Windows 7 64 bit project?
Please review and consider the above and let us know if any or all of that applies to your situation.
    Thank you.

  • Why can I not install Premiere photoshop 11?

My Processor is a AMD Athlon(tm) 64*2 Dual core processor 4400+ 2.3Ghz but I am recieving an error message that the processor is not compatible to the software. Why?????

    Jim,
I would anticipate that the program(s) is/are the Photoshop Elements, and maybe Premiere Elements 11.
It could be just one, such as Photoshop Elements (no "Premiere" involved), or perhaps the combo pack, which contains both PrE and PsE.

  • Why can't I install on a second computer?

Why can't I install Premier Elements 12 on a second computer without paying for it again. The computer I originally installed the program on died. When I open Premier 12 on the second computer a window pops up to either buy it or use it on a trail basis. I already paid for it once.

There could be several scenarios for your situation.
    1. You purchased Premiere Elements 12 as a download to a Windows computer and you want to use those downloaded 12 installation files on a Mac computer.
    2. You already have the same purchased serial number on more than 2 of your computers. If this is the case and you want to download to a 3rd computer, then you need to deactivate that same purchased serial number from one of the 2 computers.
    a. you can deactivate the purchased serial number from the working computer
    b. you will need Adobe via its Adobe Chat to deal with the purchased serial number trapped on the crashed computer.
Please review and determine which scenario applies to you. If none, please give more details.

  • On how many computer can I install Premiere Elements (one licens)

On how many computer can I install Premiere Elements (one licens)

    number
What are the computer operating systems involved? Are you installing from installation files (from online download purchase) or from installation disc
(from purchase in boxed packaging)? Answers to those questions would probably get you the best possible answer to your question.
    If installation files.....
You are not going to be able to install a Premiere Elements Windows purchased serial number on a Mac computer or a Premiere Elements Mac
purchased serial number on a Windows computer.
    If installation discs...
Box packaging typically comes with two installation discs....one for Windows and one for Mac. In this type of situation, typically you use one
serial number for them both. If that is the case, then the following applies...
Adobe allows you to use the same purchased activated serial number on no more than 2 of your computers. And, you do not use them at the same time.
If you are dealing with two computers with the same operating system, then you should be able to use that same purchased serial number for that operating system on no more than 2 of your computers. Again, you do not use them at the same time.
Please let us know if any questions or need clarification.
    Thanks.

Did you purchased Premiere Elements 11 from an Adobe download? If so, did you double check http://www.adobe.com Welcome AlaskaBreeCharlie/My Orders and My Products for the download? Or, did you have an installation disc instead?
Depending on the circumstances, you could contact Adobe via its Adobe Chat to inquire about getting additional Premiere Elements 11 download

Click on the above link. When it opens, click on the statement "I still need help" to bring up the Adobe Chat to discuss
