    I looked everywhere on the website for an e-mail address, but couldn't find one. I have to send my iPod in for service because it has consumed itself in destruction, and because I bought it in Canada, Canada is the only place they will return it, even though I have changed my details.   • Why can't we directly email CC to just tell them something?

    My payment comes in tomorrow, and apparently adobe tried to charge me yesterday and sent me an email saying that "We don't want to see you go.. etc". Well they don't give you the option to say "Look, just charge me tomorrow everything is fine, calm down, relax.."
    So why can't I just email them to quickly let them know that? Why does there have to be this forum system in the way? I am not stupid, I know how to fix problems. The only thing that needs to be done is for them to charge me tomorrow so that I can keep my subscription to creative cloud.
    An account being empty is certainly not a way for someone to cancel a subscription.

    I verify my identity just by logging in with my password, not being able to add a rescue email address without answering the security questions is just extra hastle and doesn't increase security. No one knows my password so how could they break into my account? I understand having security questions to change your password but not for adding an email address.

    Why can't I just type in an ipad serial number and find out what model it is?  This used to be a function of the Apple Tech Specs.  Why has it been removed?  If it is in a different place, where is it?

    Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure the birthdate yo specify results n an age of at least 13 years old.
      Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
    Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
    Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
    Settings>FaceTime
    Settings>GameCenter
    and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.    
    Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases.

    My apple id is associated with a gmail address.
    I wan't to change it to something else.
    So I went to: appleid.apple.com ---> Change apple id ---> Typed in new email address (everything shows green) ---> Hit Save.-->Edit box disappears as if everything went ok ----> But the box showing my apple id, still shows the gmail address!
    It still shows my gmail address!! Doesn't send any verification email or anything! No matter what I do, it doesn't let me change it from my gmail address!
    It let me change my password though, and also let me change my rescue email address.
    Why can't I change my apple id ?

    I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
    When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
    At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
    I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

  • Why can't I just use my debit card for adding my child to family share?!

    I want to use my child on family share but can't because I don't need or want a credit card, my bank has fraud protection, who actually just called me about fraud because I purchased the newest iPhone! I don't like credit cards. Why can't I just use my debit card as usual? Kids can get credit cards just as easily as they can debit cards! This is ridiculous. Why isn't there another option to verify I am the parent?! I am so beyond angry right now. Like I am being punished for not owning a credit card!! Otherwise there will be another way to do this. A person should have the freedom to use their chosen form of payment without missing out on all the options available. Honestly even if I wanted a credit card I haven't enough credit because of past mistakes. So this is not making me happy at all.

    I feel your pain. We refuse to have credit cards, too; yet it's required in order to create a child's apple id. I will most definitely be leaving feedback with Apple. This is absolutely ridiculous that we can't just use our debit cards! Mine is a VISA. I use it to make CREDIT CARD transactions everywhere else, why not be able to use it the same way here!?
    I just had to restore my sons phone because he forgot his 4-digit password and got it disabled. I didn't have it already on my itunes so my only option was to restore it. I wanted to create his own apple id so he didn't have to keep using mine. Because every time he downloads a new game it automatically ends up on MY device as well, not just his. Anyway, he needs his own apple id. But, apparently, that won't be happening until Apple gets their heads out of their butts and figures out how to serve ALL of their customers!

    That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash.     I've been having the same problem with one of several email accounts on one iPad2 and one iPhone5.  It has been driving me crazy.  I have deleted and reinstalled the email accounts more times than I can count and was ready to throw the device out the window.  However I just found a post from another user who stated that they were able to solve this problem by confirming that the outgoing mail server password was corrected.  Apparently they found that after an upgrade the old password was retained by the server.  I had never checked this because it's a few extra steps to get into the outgoing mail server.  When I did I found that it was incorrect.  Once changed, I was able to send the email again.  Problem solved!  Also I agree that the other user was rude in commenting to you the way that he/she did.  Hope this helps you
