Why can't i log into icloud on my iphone

I DROPPED MY PHONE AND THE SCREEN IS CRACKED AND HALF THE SCREEN IS BLACK AND RAINBOW.
SO I'M TRYING TO BACKUP MY WHATSAPP CHATS ON ICLOUD BUT I CAN'T EVEN DO THAT BECAUSE STUPID ICLOUD IS TELLING ME THAT I NEED AN APPLE ID WHEN I TRY TO SIGN IN ON MY PHONE AND I ALREADY HAVE ONE?? LIKE WHAT IS THIS SORCERY?

No idea. What does it say when you try, and where, exactly, are you trying to log in?

Why can't I log into iCloud on my iPad?

When I go to the iCloud.com website on my iPad, I can't log into my iCloud account. The only options are to (a) set up iCloud, which has already been set up on all my devices, (b) Install Find My Phone, which is already installed on my iPad, or (c) Install Find My Friends, which is irrelevant. There is no login window.
A previous thread suggested that installing and using the Find My iPhone app would fix the problem, but it doing so changes nothing on my iPad. What am I missing?

You can use iCab Mobile to log into your iCloud.com account on the iPad. You must identify iCab as a desktop browser. I use iCab Mobile and I identify it as Fire Fox 4.0 for Mac. I can log into my account this way.
I do NOT have iCloud email so I'm not positive that you can log into the email this way, but IF I recall correctly from reading a couple of other posts, it will work.
If you want to take a chance, download iCab for $1.99 (I think). I can tell you this much - it is a superior browser to Safari on the iPad in just about anyway that you can imagine - even if you can't access your iCloud mail.

Whenever i go on any site like gmail or facebook i keep gettinf a popup saying "cannot verify server identity" and also, i can't log into anything either, like when i go into gmail it says i put the wrong password, apps that require logins wont run, i get error messages, network related error messages. Reboot the device by pressing and holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons (power) at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings

I found the answer that works for me. (This information was not on Apple's website for troubleshooting this problem.)
In Safari, (I use Firefox only) cookies must be enabled. I never knew there was a connection between iTunes and Safari until now.

If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Under settings ... it shows the network Im trying to log into ... and in the column to the right where it lists the various networks, it shows the network i want and a little wheel thingie spinning beside it ... but it just keeps spinning ... so it looks like my Ipad had found the network ok, but wont log in.

Try this:
1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

Some folks resolve download and other connection issues by using either OpenDNS or Google Public DNS services. The best use is to use it as the DNS configuration in your modem/router/gateway device, but often the configuration in the computer or iOS device will over ride the other configuration if you don't have access.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > iTunes & App store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.
