Why can't I make a Youtube Account??

I'm trying to make a Youtube account. But every time when i have to verify my Email account it keeps on saying "
Microsoft account is unavailable from this site, so you can't sign in or sign up. The site may be experiencing a problem.
You can sign in or sign up at other Microsoft sites and services, or try again later at this site." what's worng with Microsoft servers???

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:

On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these. While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

Okay I figured it out finally. Google bought You Tube and when in iMovie it asks you
to add an account... you DO NOT USE your YouTube user name, but your email address.
Then use your Google password and it finds it.

iChat 4 and 5 did have a Button in the Add Account Screen that did send you to either the @mac.com Registration page or the AIM one. This Button is not there in iChat 6 which means that for all type of accounts you have to sort you Screen Name first.

Password must be kept to 16 characters or less due to the Limit at AIM
The Linked Email account you list must not be associated with another Apple ID.

Can be an email you use elsewhere.
Any secondary email listed is for password recovery only (it is not Hard Linked like the Apple page)
You can also register for iCloud which will give you an @me.com name (only then useable in iChat 6).
Older MobileMe @me.com names will work in earlier versions of iChat.
These three types above can have buddies of those type in the same list as all the Buddy Names and Valid with AIM.
GoogleTalk requires that you have:-
1) A Google Mail ID
2) Have enabled Talk on your Google account settings.
Google run a Jabber server as do Facebook.
There are many other Jabber servers with which you can register but many do not do this through a Web Browser - instead relying on the registration module of a Jabber app.
Like an Screen Name that logs in to the AIM Service the Jabber ones can similar add other Jabber Buddies.

I just got an iphone 3G I made an Apple ID but it requires me to "review" my information and then I have to put in a credit card. I don't have one and I don't intend on buying stuff from itunes I just want to download some apps. Is it because my iphone is an older generation?

As RG says, if you're in the US, you haven't allowed for the sales taxes charged by your city and state. You'll need to buy something less expensive, add a credit card, or redeem an additional iTunes card.

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
It is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted if clearing cookies doesn't work.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

getting Leopard tomorrow. system working great. plan to do an "upgrade installation". backed up all my files (106GB) to an external HDD. so I think I'm ready....
question is - why can't I make a disk image of my "Macintish HD"?
it starts to create the image but Disk Utility comes back and says "Unable to create disk0s2.dmg. Resource busy."
I thought it might be a good idea to do a "complete system backup" just incase something goes wrong with the "upgrade installation".
Since it didn't let me, I just dragged-n-dropped the Users folder to the external HDD, so I got my files backed up.
curious why I can't make a disk image of my WHOLE HDD. can someone enlighten me....

1. Because if you could, someone who breaks into your account could do it as well.
2. You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
