Why can't I open a picture inside a text message?
Why can't I open pictures within text messages?
I get a black screen with the loading symbol and the picure never loads. I can see the picture within the conversation but when I try to open it up fully it never loads.

Can someone tell me why can't I delete a picture of a text message conversation? I touch and hold a picture in IOS7.0.3; I touch More, I click the picture(s) and I click the garbage bin. The picture gets deleted, but then it comes back in a second!
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Why can I not save a picture from a text message on iOS 7?
When I receive a text message that had a picture I don't have the option to save the picture to my iPhone. Am I missing something?
If you tap the picture, you should see a box on the bottom left with an arrow pointing up. The first option at the bottom of the next sheet should be "Save Image"

Thanks for that. Made me think. I used one of my other logins by accident. For some reason my Mac MIni will let me log in using one of two usernames. So that was an easy fix that I should have known. I appreiciate your suggestion.

Why can i only recieve iMessage but not regular text messages?
All today, my phone has not been delivering me my regular, green text messages from anyone. But my phone will deliver me my iMessages, blue texts from my friends with iPhones. A message did pop up saying that my SMS mailbox was full and that I needed to delete messages before my messages would be received, but I went through and deleted over 400 SMS messages and that usually does the trick and the undelivered messages pour in.
Why is this happening and how can I fix it?My experience has been that the first step in figuring out SMS issues is to check with the cell provider and be sure nothing has changed with the account provisioning or with the provider. Once you've eliminated this, it's time to explore issues with the device or device OS.

Open the message, go to Options -> Automatic find on (Most probably this would be set to off). Now, scroll down, and when the number is highlighted, go to Options -> Use number -> choose from call/add to contacts, etc.

why can I not open pictures when I click on the host icon on my desktop? It just sits there, and can not open from top menu bar as well, only via itunes

Why can't I open/play my movie files after I have downloaded them from my camera? Pictures open fine.
What system and iPhoto version are you running and do you have Qjuicktime Player 7 installed. It would be in the Applications or Applications/Utilities folder.

Well, the free Adobe Reader can do very little more than read PDF files. It can certainly not open JPGs.
I'll assume that you are getting that message when trying to open your JPG file by double clicking on its icon, which would indicate a file association problem. Reinstalling Reader could solve it, and there are other ways which depend on your operating system, but we don't even know if you are on Mac or Win... -

Assuming Apple doesn't eviscerate the files of the secondary graphics with another upgrade, there could be a plug in that reads the graphic and runs along side iTunes..we should get someone or Apple to program an alternative If we have to accept this downgrade in iTunes proper.
I've developed a quick workaround, and am still hoping Apple will fix this!
Go To Get Info on the tune you want to see secondary artwork for.
Go To the Artwork tab
Drag the back cover to the desktop, and it will create a new jpg you can open with quick viw or prieview where you can see it large!
you end up with a lot of jpgs on the desktop to discard! -
Why can't I open and retrieve my files from iPhoto and my Address Book after importing the files from my Power Mac G5 to my new Mac Pro? I get a warning that says the new OS on my Pro doesn't open files from a Power Mac. Any idea how I can fix this?
For your addressbook, export the files to vCard on the PowerMac, then bring them over to your Mac Pro. For your iPhoto, copy the Users -> yourname -> Pictures folder to your Desktop on the Mac Pro, and open iPhoto on the Mac Pro holding the command and option keys. Select the library file from that Pictures folder and open it. It should import all the pictures into iPhoto as part of the rebuild process. Why can't I open I Photo??
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption. -

Are you trying to do this from the photos app or from the mail app? Explain in a little detail what is happening when you try to select multiple photos.
No matter which app you are using, you can try quitting the apps completely and then reboot the iPad and try again.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
