Why can't I open email pdf ad administrator, while computer user can?

I can't ope email pdf file as administrator, while computer user can?

When I opened outlook yesterday, there was a 7 mb pdf I needed to review. I moved my cursor over the pdf. A description window opened detailing the pdf specs. However, Double clicking did not open the pdf. Right clicking did not open a drop down options window. I had the file sent to me three times under different names but the pdf would not open. Opening up older emails I discovered that I could no longer open any pdf from outlook.
You can go to top highlight attachment and then save attachment.
But what changed and how to I change it back to be able to open pdf from outlook when reviewing email.

    Hi,
You can create quotas to limit the space allowed for a volume or folder and generate notifications when the quota limits are approached or exceeded.

  • Why doesn't "Preview" open my .PDF files on my computer?

    Hello Guys,
My "Preview" program stopped opening .PDF files about a week ago. The program shows up in the dock, but it doesn't display the PDF. It displays JPEG's no problem, but for some reason it' doesnt open PDF fils.It is driving me crazy. I have googled and googled, but no luck in fixing my problem.
I have even set the PDF files to "always open with preview"
Any help would be greatly appreciatd
    Thanks in advance
    -Miguel

I suspect your problem has to do with the file on the drive that stores the preferences to open what up with what program.
I don't know exactly what that preference file is, but I know of a way to check for corruption of the preference files and once you know which one is corrupted, then we can delete it and it will rebuild.
So do the #12 and #13 OnyX routines here, that will also clear your caches and speed up your machine a little as well.
..Step by Step to fix your Mac
Once #13 is competed then see this Ut here.

Maybe you could supply us with more details about what exactly you are doing, how you are doing and what you are using to do it.
The reason I say this is because you are in the forum for Adobe Reader which is a FREE application and not a service.

  • Why i couldn't open email that sent from Outlook?

Please help me for this matter, i had bought my BB Curve 8520 for just only 5 days and use latest firmware. I have setup 2 emails 1.) hotmail  2.) Outlook (Official mail) i found this issue after i had setup my office email for a few days.
Issue is when i open email that sent from Outlook (Official mail) that contained file .png or attached with file .png by using HTML  my bb couldn't open it, it will stuck but i can use any function but just the email that didn't open.
I ha contacted with my Local support, they inform me to do the hard reset, after i had hard reset it working fine with same email that couldn't open previously. After one day had past it has the same issue again.
Please help me to fixed this issue, thank you in advance.
P.S. I had never install any unauthorized program.

Photoshop doesn't do anything special or different when a file is sent from an attachment. However, when you send an attachment from Outlook to Photoshop, that file is actually downloaded to your computer in a Temp folder before it is sent to Photoshop. Often times the permissions on this folder can be such that it prevents access. Other than that, all Outlook does is simply drop the file onto the Photoshop app file. The only thing that would involve Photoshop directly is if there are some damaged files involved with its connection to the rest of the system. If this is the case a reinstall would fix it. Otherwise, check the permissions on the Outlook temp folder (or at least the JPEG file it is trying to save).

  • Why won't safari open a pdf

I've downloaded reader-- checked the 32-bit deal, made sure pdf's are opened by reader and still safari won't open a pdf.  What have I missed?

I am a developer who has been sending Livecycle Acrobat documents to users over the internet. The upgrade to Mac OS X 10.7 and Safari 5.1.2 has caused this problem for many of my users.  The only solution I've been able to find so far is to use FireFox and Acrobat Reader.
Our software does not provide a link to a PDF.  Instead, we send the PDF with header for inline; and a type of application/pdf and a generated file name.  Safari INSISTS on opening this in the viewer.  The viewer doesn't open LiveCycle documents.
I've tried removing the pdf plugin.
I've tried making the appropriate changes to the Acrobat Reader preferences under "Display PDF in browser using," but this option is actually greyed out and automatically selects/deselects based on the existance of the plug-in.
I've tried doing CMDl-I on a PDF file and changing the "Open With" to pdf reader.
I've tried adding code to the .htaccess directory of my web site forcing the header based on the .pdf extension.
In short, I have not found ANY solution to this.  Safari will not use Acrobat or Acrobat Reader and Safari will not open a LiveCycle document.
If anyone has another suggestion I would LOVE to hear it.  This is a major problem for us and I hate to try to tell our entire user community that they have to switch to FireFox if they want to view our documents.

  • Can no longer open email PDF attachment in iBooks

Just discovered can no longer open on iPad mini any email attachment PDF file in iBooks.  Cannot tap attachment and select open in iBooks. PDF attachment opens itself automatically on the body of the email. Is this a PDF problem or iPad problem or iBooks problem.

It's not a problem with either app. Just hold down on the open PDF to bring up the "open in" window. If hold down on the open PDF and select "Quick Look" , that will give you the full screen file and you will see the share icon in the upper right corner.

  • How do I open email pdf's on iPad and iPhone?

HII have an iPad on Ios7 and an iPhone 4.  I can't open PDF attachments on either device.  When I click I them in the email, it starts to load in Safari with the blue line running across.  The line then disappears and then a blank page appears.
I've tried downloading Adobe from the App Store In order to 'share' by clicking on the icon that is a square with an arrow poking out of the top, however Adobe doesn't appear here when I click on it - just message, mail, twitter and facebook.  There's no option to 'open in' on the bar underneath this (the one with bookmarks, reading list etc).
    can anyone help please?
My mail account is an @me.com on iCloud.
    Thanks.
    Fran.x

    lillylocket,
What is your mail app on your iPad and iPhone?  Typically PDF attachments are opened in the preview screen of Apple Mail.  But it sounds like your PDF attachments are opened in Safari.
Please you take a look at the Safari section of the following FAQ documents to open PDF documents in Adobe Reader for iOS.
For iPad, How to open PDF documents in Adobe Reader for iOS (iPad on iOS 7 or 8 version)
For iPhone, How to open PDF documents in Adobe Reader for iOS (iPhone on iOS 7 or 8 version)
As you have discovered, Safari does not include the "Open In" options for the Share button.
When you tap anywhere in a PDF document in Safari, the secondary toolbar is displayed below the top toolbar.  You need to look for the text label button "Open In..." instead of the Share button.
    Hope this helps.
Please let us know if you have additional questions.

  • Why Doesn't iBook open all pdf's on iPad

I have just copied Aircraft Maintenance Manuals onto my computer (PDF Form), copied them to iTunes and then synced my iPad and all but 1 work, the one wich isnt working is the largest (553MB) and the most important. Does anyone have any ideas why this is the case. Any help would be good

It just keeps coming up with
                                                          Book Format Error
                                                  This book Cannot be opened
                                                     Because the format is not
                                                       reconised, or is invalid.
The other 3 ar the same format and they work fine.

  • Opening emailed PDFs in iBook gets stuck

When I am sent a PDF file attachment and I open it into iBooks I have to push the home button to get out of iBook. Then when I go to me email again up comes the PDF file again and I have not been able to escape from that file to read other email messages. How do I do this? I keep thinking I should be able to tap the upper left corner to bring up an escape button but cat find one.

    That happens not infrequently. Try:
    - force quitting the mail app
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then
press and hold the Home button until the application you were using quits.
    - Reset the iPad if the above does not work
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the
Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • How to open a PDF stored on my computer with FF PDF js?

I want to open PDF files stored on my computer with FF PDF js.
Reason: This way I can search my local PDFs loaded in a FF Window together with other tabs in a FF Window using the FF ad-on HUGO or any other search tool for tabs.
    Thank you for your help
    Ludwig Müller

Thank you for your reply. My problem is that what you describe does exactly not work. When I say "open with firefox" I am prompted with the pop-up window "what should firefox do with this file?" - and then choosing FF creates an empty "New Tab" and I am prompted again with the same pop-up.
What differentiates FF PDF js from all other PDF viewers is, that it is an OPEN APPLICATION, which means I can search it with FF search tools across all tabs.
Example: I do have 50 tabs open and I want to search for a specific term in one go over 50 tabs, I can do this with the add-on HUGO (I was the co-developer for this add-on, the author is Allasso Travesser) for tabs with html or PDFs that are loaded in FF PDF js Viewer. Now, with PDFs from the internet no problem, but I can't load my own PDFs into FF.

Everything freezes and it won't me shut it down and close any windows. I then have to do a "force close"
This is the alert it tells me

Please help!  Does anyone know how to fix this?  I have Acrobat 8 Pro and 9 Pro on this

  • Why does safari stop opening web pages after a while in use?

Since upgrading to Lion, my imac (Intel) 21.5 works fine for most of the time, but frequently when using Safari to browse the internet, it will stop accessing pages, either from new searches or from history - the blue loading bar in the address panel starts, then stops. Safari itself keeps working, new tabs can be opened, history can be checked, etc. Checking the Wi-Fi shows that it is still connected, and other PCs and ipods in the house can still access the net, showing it is not a net or router problem. Restarting the machine does not usually cure the issue, only shutting down for a long period, eg overnight, when it generally starts up fine again.
This has been happening almost since I upgraded 2 months ago, but not every time we use Safari.

You can do some basic Safari trouble shooting by:
    Safari - Reset Safari
    Safari - Empty Cache
You can also be just low on RAM. As a general rule your system should have about 500MB or more of FREE RAM. To check to see how much your system has open Activity Monitor - System Memory Tab and look for the amount of free RAM. You can find AM in Applications - Utilities - Activity Monitor. Remember to check when you are seeing a slow down otherwise the information will be meaningless. The graphic will look similar to:
