Why can't I open iDisk from iPad?

When I try to open iDisk by touching its icon, this happens: brief contact is made with my iDisk, then it disappears the icons page with the iDisk icon reappears. GoodReader is able to access my iDisk without any problem.

Why can't i open file on ipad ?

I have an old version of Numbers on my ipad and recently upgraded to the new version. Simultaneously, i have bought the new version of iworks on my mac.
I have created a file on my mac and tried to open/download on my ipad, but it does not and te following message appears : this file can't be opened because it's an old version... (?????)
Then i tried to delete the app on my ipad and tried to download numbers avain on my ipad, but the app can't be downloaded
Does anyone has an answer for these 2 problems ?

To get the right scoop for setting up your outgoing server, google your ISP and the words email settings, and you will likely find a page that will give you the settings. While you are there, see if there is a restriction on where they will send from. Some US ISPs simply will not send e mail, if you are put of your home territory. The. Only way around that is a different mail provider, such as gmail, yahoo or whatever.

Well, the free Adobe Reader can do very little more than read PDF files. It can certainly not open JPGs.
I'll assume that you are getting that message when trying to open your JPG file by double clicking on its icon, which would indicate a file association problem. Reinstalling Reader could solve it, and there are other ways which depend on your operating system, but we don't even know if you are on Mac or Win...

Why can't I send Emails from iPad apps?

When I am using iBooks, or Evernote, or Hootsuite, or just about any application on my iPad that allows me to Email items from within the application, the following happens when I try to send an Email:
1) I click the share button.
2) Choose Emaill
3) Write the Email.
4) Click Send
5) Hear swoosh sound and it appears the Email is sent.
However, the Email is never actually sent. I've tested this mutiple times to various Email addresses and it just isn't sending the Email. The only exception is when I send Emails from within the Gmail app, in which case they send fine.
After discovering this I took our my iPhone 5 and tried to do the same from there with the same applications. I was able to send Emails from within the iPhone applications just fine so this problem is specific to my iPad.
I checked my mail settings and didn't see anything out of order. As I said, I can successfully send Email from the iPad using the Gmail app or just sending it from within a Chrome window.
Thoughts?

I used to be able to send e-mail from within apps on my iPad. Then all of a sudden, I was unable to do it. I changed none of my settings, and my regular e-mail works just fine. One day I could e-mail from within apps, and then next I could not.
When I hit the share button within an app, I then select the e-mail button. An e-mail message opens for composition. It has the subject line filled in, but that's all. It will not allow me to enter the address and it contains no message or link. It's just dead. Sometimes I wait for a while to see if anything changes, but it doesn't.
Did apple change something without telling us?

Why can't I open files from ACR to CS5?

I have been using CS5/Bridge/ACR for a year now and all of the sudden, I cannot get the RAW images from ACR into CS5. I always open my RAW files from Bridge, make my adjustments in ACR, then select all and open images into CS5. This has always worked just fine, but recently only a random number of images will open, if any at all!
For example, If I select 10 images to open in CS5, it may be 4 that open, or it could be 8, or it could be 0. I haven't done anything new to my computer. I have uninstalled photoshop and reinstalled it twice and that hasn't helped.
I am so frustrated. I thought I purchased a quality product (which I have loved until now since I can't even get my files in to use the program!) and am so dissapointed that I can't use it anymore.
Hopefully someone can help me. I really want to use photoshop again!

You could try to reset Bridge preferences. Hold down the Ctrl key and start Bridge. You should get a reset window with 3 options.

I have pinned Firefox 5.0 to my Windows 7 taskbar. Why can I not open Firefox from a "pinned" link?

I have Firefox 5.0 installed on Windows 7 Ultimate, and the Firefox 5.o icon pinned to the taskbar. With IE9, I can right click the icon, and any site that is in my "pinned" menu can open the browser. This doesn't work with Firefox 5.0. Why?

I would suggest using the Quick Launch instead with Firefox being one of the first so it shows on the task bar. No preloaded or anything just ready to use.

I think IE is a browser interface to Windows, Firefox is self-contained and runs on any system.

Had the same problem. AOL had been working for months, stopped working for no reason. I checked the settings against aol's instructions and the username was wrong - aol state that the username should not have the @aol.com suffix but it did. The next problem encountered was that the iPad would not let me change the username under outgoing smtp settings. Answer is to do the following:
Go to settings -> mail ->aol account ->outgoing mail server.
Turn the primary smtp server off.
Create a new one for smtp.aol.com with the username without @aol.com at the end and your password.
The rest of the settings should populate automatically.

Why can't I open pdfs from a website

I have pdfs that I used to be able to download or open from a website. Now I can't do it. I have Windows 8.1, 64 bit laptop. Is there a special 64 bit version of Adobe Reader? If I try to save a pdf, the "save target as" is greyed out in the window.

What browser are you using to access these PDFs? What exactly happens when you are trying to open such a PDF?
