Why can't I open my comcast email now on Firefox? It will not go beyond the preview screen.

In the last couple of weeks I have been unable to open my comcast email. (After upgrade?) The email will open to the preview screen, but I can not open it beyond that and can not access my email. It works with IE though.

You can try these basic steps in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Since I started using the Icloud this weekend, I can no longer get my comcast email on my phone or ipad.

Double-check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars to confirm that your Comcast account is still set up on your devices. If it is, there may be a problem at Comcast's end. There have been several reports of Comcast email not being received at iCloud email addresses. This is a different problem that yours, but may be related.

I use Firefox as my primary browser and webpage. I have my email with comcast. I've had no problem with using firefox with my comcast email. Why can't I open all my emails, open attachments or send photos on my ipad anymore. Sometimes it takes awhile for an email to open, other times they open without any incident. I can't seem to be able to email any photos anymore.

It sounds like you have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them.
Pages 5 can not open Pages '08 files at all. You will need to Export the Pages '08 files to Word .doc/x or use Pages '09 to open the Pages '08 files and resave them.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 older Pages files can not be opened in previous Pages.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Note: Apple has removed over 90 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

I can no longer open my Comcast email when I launch from Firefox - it takes me to the email preview page but will not allow me to open the inbox . Does not happen with Internet Explorer.

This started last month - when I go to my comcast account, I'm able to log on and view my account but can not open my email inbox. When I enter my user name and password, I'm taken to the "Email Preview" page so that I can see a partial view of the inbox but when I click on "View Entire Inbox" it jumps to a page showing that it's loading but goes right back to the preview page - I can't open any of the emails. This does not happen when I use Internet Explorer or Firefox on my older laptop.

After downloading 4.0, I can no longer open emails on my employers system.(lotus notes) I get a message that the Domino Web Access can't respond to my request.

If you recently updated to Mavericks and updated the Numbers to 3.0 then it is likely you are trying to open a Numbers 3.0 file with Numbers 2.3.

Be sure you are careful about which version you are launching and using to open files. If you want to be able to open a file in Numbers 2.3 then you should continue using Numbers 2.3 (which is located in the folder "/Applications/iWork '09")
If you already opened a Numbers file in 3.0 and saved if but want to open in 2.3 you can export from Numbers 3.0 by using the menu item "File > Export To > Numbers '09..."

Why can't i open pop up's i asked firefox to allow the popup and even went in and turned off pop up blocker but it still fails to let me see what i'm going for

i need to see an item in the walker exhaust website . and when i click on the picture to have it go larger i get the drop down across the top that said popup blocked. i went in and asked for the popup and nothing. i then went in and turned it off and closed the option page and tried again and nothing still will not allow it. i have had this problem before and getting tired of it. i almost would rather close the popup's than to not get the ones i need to see.

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

My iphone 4 has frozen. I can not slide to unlock nor shut the phone down. It flashes the apple logo from time to time but will not respond to the touch screen.

Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

When using Preferences to change the email to Xfinity Lite you loose certain valuable features available in the full verfsiion. This may work for some but I enjoy attaching photos in some emails and having them show in he message boz along with a message. It's a shame that two multi-national companys can't get their act straight. Comcast blames Firefox, Firefox blames Concast. In the meantime users are forced to use Internet Explorer. I hate this kind of stupidity. Millions of consumers are inconvenienced. I suspect that Microsoft and Comcast are schemeing in this matter.

Why can't I open Slideshow in Yahoo mail in Firefox 15.0.1 when it works fine if I use Safari? Mac OS X / v10.7.5

For the last two days I've had a problem opening attached photos in the Yahoo Mail Slideshow feature. The screen goes to a grey layer as usual, but the photo never opens to view it. I don't think it's a Yahoo problem as the Slideshow works fine if I access my mail using Safari.
Some older posts suggested clearing the cache of personal cookies, but I don't store any history on this computer so there is no cache to clear.

I've restarted Firefox in Safe Mode as suggested and when I open the Yahoo Mail slideshow it works fine. I guess that tells me there may be a corrupted file somewhere. I'm just not sure how to go about finding out how to correct it. When I try to switch to the 'Default Appearance Theme' it won't allow me to do it while in Safe Mode. Should I be trying this AFTER I get back out of 'Safe'?
I don't keep any cache so I'm not sure how I can bypass it. I've tried reloading the mail inbox page by pressing "Command + Shift + R" but to no avail...
This problem just came up in the last two days, so I went back one week in my Time Capsule backup to reload a copy of Firefox from a time when I wasn't having problems - still no luck. The photos won't open in the slideshow preview on Firefox unless I'm running in Safe Mode.
