Why can't I open my courses in my on-line school web site now when I have always been able to before?

windows recently updated and I updated my antivirus and since then when I go into my on line school web site I cannot open any of my courses.

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Do you access these pages via a secure https connection?
If that is the case then check if Firefox is blocking mixed content coming via a normal http connection.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps in case security software is blocking access.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

    We took our MacBook Pro to the  apple store, after a long trial and error, they FIXED the  problem!
    It turns out that one of the files was corrupt, it was either Java or Silverlight.
    My suggestion to you is to remove Java than restart and then reinstall Java. See if hotmail works. If not, than, remove Silverlight reboot than reinstall Silverlight.
    For us, it was one of those two files that were corrupt and that was causing hotmail to not be able to send email.
    I'm not sure what the procedure is to remove and reinstall files, all I know is that my wives MacBook can now send email using hotmail.

    When I attach a PDF to Apple Mail on Mountain Lion, it is an icon. When I send it to an iCloud mail destination, the attachment arrives and is presented as an icon, whether on OS X, or in IOS 6.
    I suspect that the recipient's mail user agent is responsible for the full image .vs. icon behavior, and there is nothing you can do to prevent it.

    Select the Zoom Tool in the tool box and see if Scrubby Zoom is unchecked or greyed out in the tool options bar.

  • Why can't I copy my 250GB iTunes folder to my Macbook Pro's SSD when I have close to 400GB free?

    It should be noted that I formerly used over 200GB of the SSD. However I've deleted all those files so I can restore my iTunes library from Time Machine and then move it to an external hard drive for use. It seems that with solid state storage drives the amount of disk space available is also a function of whatever the computer is doing in memory and so it is effectively less precisely when you need it. Is there something I need to do like defrag my SSD so that I can actually make use of the free space that I've gotten? I've already restarted my computer.

    If you're trying to add a large amount of data all at once, and you get an alert of insufficient space, then from the menu bar, select
               ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Time Machine
    If the padlock icon is closed, click it to unlock the settings and authenticate. Turn Time Machine OFF, then back ON and close the preference pane. Restart the computer. Test.

    I don't understand the ONE AT A TIME lament, as it's pretty easy to email more than one at a time. Have you tried to and been unable or didn't know that you could?
    As for no one receiving, well .... first, review how you're trying to do it and, as a check, email some to yourself. That will be a good first check.

    I found this on another forum and it worked:
    Go to the iCloud settings and turn it on for your calendar (and contacts if you're having trouble with that as well, because I was).
    I was immediately able to create events and contacts after that. Once you've turned on iCloud for those apps and they've been fixed, you can shut it off again and shouldn't have any trouble.

    Well, the free Adobe Reader can do very little more than read PDF files. It can certainly not open JPGs.
    I'll assume that you are getting that message when trying to open your JPG file by double clicking on its icon, which would indicate a file association problem. Reinstalling Reader could solve it, and there are other ways which depend on your operating system, but we don't even know if you are on Mac or Win...

  • Why can't I open photos sent through text anymore?

    I have an iPhone 4S and have always sent and received photos through txt messages.  I have always been able to tap on the photo and be given the option of saving it to a photo album or just be able to zoom in on it.  However, since the iOS7 update, I can no longer pull up the photos (they just appear to be like the background of the text bubble)  or save them.
    Some friends that have 5 & 5S's are having the same issue.
    Any ideas?

    There have been many reports of problems with photos in texts/iMessages lately on this board and I'm wondering if this is related. Some people are unable to send and some are unable to receive. I don't know of a fix or what the problem is, but it just may be a matter of waiting until the problem is fixed on the other end. Sorry...
