This is probably an issue with the new Yahoo code that Yahoo needs to fix on their site.<br />
You can try to contact them or post on a Yahoo forum if there is such a forum for problems with Yahoo! Mail.

Don't know since we don't know that you are doing.
Are you tapping the blue + sign in the upper right corner of the Safari toolbar? That is what you do to open a new tab.

  • Why can't I open yahoo mail with safari?

As of July 29 I can no longer open Yahoo mail in Safari.  It keeps asking for user name and password, but when I enter it the same screen keeps coming up.

Clear Safari, then close it completely and reset the iPad.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.
Now close Safari. In order to close apps in iOS 7, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Why can't I open an email word attachment in pages anymore

When opening an email word attachment I was always given the option to open an attachment in Pages or as a PDF or in Dropbox but this no longer happens. Can anyone tell me if the functionality has been closed off or is it now dealt with in a different way?

Is the PDF Maker available in Excel? It is necessary to have PDF Maker workinig in OFFICE to be able to import those files.

  • Why can't I open pdf files with Safari 7.0.6 and OS 10.9.4?

I have just upgraded to Mavericks from OS 10.6.8. When I attempt to open a pdf file in Safari, I get the following message:
    Abobe Reader
Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser.
Well, I must have already accepted the Agreement because I can open pdfs directly from Adobe Reader and from other browsers. Why doesn't can't I open them from Safari?
    Don

Launch Adobe Reader from your Launch Pad. Then accept the end user license agreement.
I found that suggestion here >   ADOBE - ACCEPT END USER LICENCE AGREEMENT

  • Why can't I open a PDF in Safari?

I haven't had this trouble before, but now when I try to open a PDF I get a box that comes up and says I must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement. I have no idea what that is or where I go to do that.. HELP PLEASE!

HOW DID YOU FIGURE IT OUT?  Please, I keep seeing this question, with the same kind of "I figured it out" but no one says how. I've launched Reader at least a dozen times, and there is no user agreement that pops up. It opens PDFs on my computer just fine with no request to sign the user agreement, but I can't do it with PDFs within Safari. There is some kind of tiny window at the bottom that shows up as just a white strip, can't be enlarged, can't see anything except the red X button. "Launch Adobe Reader and accept the EULA" is not sufficient instructions for me. I'm running OS Mavericks 10.9.1 and Adobe Reader 11.0.6.

  • Why can't I open my emails by double clicking on it, I now have to use cntrl/O instead.

Up until a few days ago I could open emails by double clicking on it. Now I have to use control/O instead. I have not changed any settings that I am aware of. What happened and how can I change it back?

Try a different mouse. There is no setting in Thunderbird.

I am using a laptop, which didn't have a mouse, just a mouse pad, so I added a corded mouse via a USB port, and it does the same thing.

  • Why can't I open my email?

Three days ago, I clicked on the email icon in the dock and got this dialog box.
Mail cannot update your mailboxes because your home directory is full.
You must free up space in your home folder before using Mail. Delete
unneeded documents or move documents to another volume.
I have eliminated a few items in my home folder that took up space but that does not solve the problem. On a 80 Gig hard drive, I have 64.51 Gigs available.
I can access my email through my ISP but not through the mail application that comes with MAC.
The email I receive through my ISP is the same I receive through Mail in
Mac. I am able to delete unwanted mail through my ISP but not Mac. Is
the mail being deleted in the MAC mail application too, or is it building up
    since I can't access it.
    G4   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

Corruption of ~/Library/Mail/Envelope Index is known to cause this bogus error message in Mail, even when there is enough space available on disk — but you must make sure first that there is actually enough space available (a few GB) and that the error message is indeed bogus.
Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:
The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what's it all about?
After having fixed all the filesystem issues, if any, and making sure that there’s enough space available on the startup disk (a few GB, plus the space needed to make a backup copy of the Mail folder), try this:
    1. Quit Mail if it’s running.
    2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. Make a backup copy of this folder, just in case something goes wrong, e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down. This is where all your mail is stored.
    3. Locate Envelope Index and move it to the Trash. If you see an Envelope Index-journal file there, delete it as well.
    4. Open Mail. It will tell you that your mail needs to be “imported”. Click Continue and Mail will proceed to re-create Envelope Index -- Mail says it’s “importing”, but it just re-creates the index if the mailboxes are already in Mail 2.x format.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder.

  • Why can I not open PDF files using adobe reader in firefox?

When I try to read a PDF file with adobe reader the file looks like it starts to load, I see in the tool bar the page count but the file never opens.

You can change the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) from Preview in Firefox to use another application like the Adobe Reader or set to Always Ask in "Firefox > Options/Preferences > Applications".
You can set the pdfjs.disabled pref to true on the <b>about:config</b> page to disable the build-in PDF viewer.
You can check the value of the plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types pref on the about:config page and remove the application/pdf part if present or reset the pref to the default via the right-click context menu.
    See also:
Note that your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some prefs on each start of Firefox.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created it, so normally it wouldn't be there.
You may want to check its content with a plain text editor if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time you start Firefox and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so involved preferences can only be changed temporarily for the current session.

  • Why can I not open PDF email attachments?

Normally on my iPhone I'm able to simply click on the PDF attachment at the bottom of an email and it opens for me to read but I just got an iPad and it doesn't seem to do that. When I click attachments in my email nothing happens.  But for instance when I try to open attachments I have saved in Dropbox they open perfectly fine.

Well something has changed since IOS came out. I can't open email attachments anymore in all apps.
Up until say 3 weeks ago I would tap on an email attachment (a PDF) and a menu of apps would appear. Normally I would choose Goodreader or iBooks to open the PDF. No problems. My iPad2 would switch to the app and open the PDF.
Now that IOS 6 is out when you touch the email attachment icons appear. Goodreader and iBook show up. But when i touch either one of these icons nothing happens. It won't switch to the app and open the PDF anymore.
Two other things. I do have other apps that appear such as PDFSplicer. If i choose it the iPad2 switches to that app and opens the PDF. It's only Goodreader and iBook that won't work anymore.
second, I went to my local Apple store and talked to the guys at the genius bar. I demonstrated the problem to them. They said it looks like a bug and suggested I send a bug report to apple. Never heard back from them.
    Any ideas?

  • Why can't I open Comcast email in Firefox browswer... but can in Chrome?

Since one of the recent Firefox upgrades, I haven't been able to get past the preview window on my Comcast email. I now need to use Chrome to get to my emails, but would prefer Firefox, but haven't found a solution that works. Is the problem related to the Java Script add-on that is disabled?

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
