Why can't I open the create panel in Elements 10 editor?

When I click on the create and the share heading I only get a black panel. Has anyone else had this problem? What is the solution? I haven't used either before; but, when I clicked on them the panel was there to choose.

Try this:
1) Update flash player on your machine from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
2) If problem still remains - The problem you are facing is probably because of corrupted swf files in your machine. But before advising for reinstallation, can you please share your Operating system information and also if you can see the following folders and files in your machine:
Win: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\10.0\Locale\en_us\Workflow Panels\Create\CreateAir.swf
Mac: /Application Support/Adobe/Photoshop Elements/11.0/Locale/en_us/Workflow Panels/Create/CreateAir.swf
If not then these must have got deleted accidently. In this case you need to reinstall the application.

You need to be in Expert mode. Just click the expert button at the top of the window, and you'll not only be able to use the menu command, but will have a dedicated layers panel button at the bottom right of the main PSE window.

What exactly happens when you try (any error messages)?
Have you upgraded from an earlier version of PSE?

Why can't Lightroom open or create a catalog on a network drive?

I just filled up my external drive and spent over $1300 on a Drobo NAS to find out Lightroom can't open or create a catalog on a network drive? EPIC FAIL!!!!
How do I store over 8 TB of catalogs on my NAS and still be able to access them? Do I need to copy the catalogs and pictures from a local drive to a NAS, then copy them back to my local drive if I ever want to use them?
I can't believe this is the case. There really is no reason you shouldn't be able to store a catalog on a network drive. How do I fix or get around this?

Yes, I really have 8 TB of photography. Its from the past 10 years of dozens of worldwide photography jobs. Granted, not all of it is in Lightroom yet, but much of it is. I used Aperture until Apple abandoned all of its professional software development and have been moving to Lightroom for a while now. Aperture is able to use the NAS as a storage drive, no problem and it uses a database as well, so I really don't see why Lightroom can't do it.
I have an 8 TB Drobo connected by Firewire to my iMac and storing photos on it for Lightroom (and Aperture prior to that) and it works fine. But it's filling up and I wanted some archive storage so I didn't have to have Lightroom catalogs and Aperture libraries on it I really don't use on a regular basis. So I got the Drobo FS800 loaded up with 12 TB of space as a network storage server to make sure everything is safely backed up. I am slowly converting my old Aperture libraries to Lightroom, one at a time as well as using Lightroom for everything I have done for about the last two years.
But it is completely impractical to have to store the pictures and catalog on the NAS Drobo, then have to copy it all over to a local drive if I ever want to find a photograph in on a Lightroom catalog. It will takes hours if not a day to do that, just so I can open it. So I may see if I can store the pictures on the NAS Drobo but keep the catalog on the local Drobo. But I hate the idea of not keeping everything together. It something happens and the shots getting separated from the catalog, I have no idea what will happen or if it will be easy to re-connect the media. I also want to keep a backup of the catalog, but I think the built-in catalog vaults will do that.
But again, Apple's Aperture could keep everything together and has not problem pulling it off a NAS, local drive or anywhere. Really hard to imagine why Adobe can't do the same thing, especially since Aperture is overall so obsolete in every other way to Lightroom by now. Guess I need to try a few things and see if I can make this work. But really not comfortable splitting catalogs up on different drives than the picture files are located.

Why can I only open the ringtone editor once per song?

I thought the free song of the week (Carol of the Bells) had a section that would make a good ringtone. I opened the ringtone editor to see how it worked and whether I could pick out the section I wanted. I then cancelled out of the ringtone editor since I don't even have an iPhone yet and it struck me as premature to actually buy a ringtone I can't use. Now the ringtone symbol is gone from that song. What gives?

A few things:
1. If there are different versions of the song in your library or in iTunes, some are supported for ringtones, and others are not - I know that sounds silly but it's true... it will be available on one album but not another.
2. Sometimes there are glitches with the ringtone icon. They are still, and constantly, rolling out new ringtones. Sometimes the icon comes and goes.
The best, and only, confirmed way to see if a ringtone is available is to right click a song and select "create ringtone". Some songs, even without a bell, will be supported.

I am with Peter on this issue. Additionally, if you installed the latest IOS Pages (v2.01) on an iPhone or iPad and opened a .pages file on iCloud that was created by Pages ’09 v4.n, or IOS Pages v1.7.n — that document is now in the new .pages file format and only Pages v5 on OS X can open it.

Why can't I change the Created Date on a file using Terminal?

I bought a used Contour helmet camera to take pictures of the kids while they're skiing, and I cannot access the camera itself to change the clock in it (USB port is broken).
I get videos from it just fine, but every time I remove the battery the date/time on the camera resets to January 2008, so my skiing videos end up someplace completely different from what I expect in iMovie.
I thought I could change the Created Date with Touch in Terminal, but it only handles the Modified Date. I know I can purchase File Date Changer 5 from the App Store to do this, but I'd like to know why I can't do it in Terminal.
Anybody know? Or know of a different way that I COULD do it in Terminal?

My router frequently has connection issues as well when laptop users are complaining that they are "connected but have limited connectivity". In reality they have no connectivity. They have no internet access on their browsers or games. Resetting it seems to be the only thing that ever fixes this and now, despite my network supposedly being called "Neil," it's calling its self "Neil 2" and has no password. I can't change it back because I cannot get into my router's settings either!
So yea. In a few words, it's all kind of bork. Does anyone know what is wrong with it?

What is the ip address you are getting on the computer which is connected to the router....?
Check the ip address.If you are getting the correct ip address(192.168.1.1) then,reset the browser settings and try again to open the setup page.If that also does not work then,reset the router for 45-50 seconds,power cycle the router and check.

we administer a fleet onf HP printers mainly 4015s and 4250s, we are able toautomate lockin of these devices through the control panel on these using webjetadmin 10.1 however since we have put our fleet of M602's in we are unable to lock these via Jetadmin, we can via the web interface but we automate it 4 times a day in case students do a cold reset and attempt to print via IP.
Obviously that is a problem.
Any help appreciated.

Why can't I open the trials?

SO how do I open the programs to start working? I can't find them on the computer either.

Please click on Utilities and go to Adobe Installers and if the above mentioned Products shows up then uninstall it. Once done please restart Mac and try reinstalling the applications.
