Why can't I pay for a subscription with Skype cred...

I'm a little confused and want to purchase a monthly subscription through Skype, but when my credit was under a dollar, it wouldn't allow me to purchase it. So, I recharged my credit. Now, when I go to sign up for a subscription, it wants to charge my credit card again. Why can't I use the credit that it just made me sign up for? Can I purchase the monthly subscription and get a refund on my $14?

Basically you can get a refund for your Skype Credit orders, but instead could you check if you can change payment method to Skype Credit as shown here: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA1781/How-can-I-pay-for-a-subscription
You can't then you can make a refund request as shown here: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA297/How-do-I-request-a-refund

Payment for Subscriptions using credit isn't available to all users. If the option isn't presented it means that it's not available to you.

Yes. You can use any funds that you have available in iTunes for the App Store, iTunes, iBooks or the Mac App Store. Just go to the app store and tap on the app that you want to download. If the credit is available, it will be deducted from your account when you make the purchase.
You can swipe to the bottom of the featured tab in the app store to view your account balance.

I found out myself when arriving to one in The Netherlands.
It is supported, and Skype offered me automatically to connect at a given (rather high) rate.
After the easy connection the disconnect button wasn't easily accessible and to make sure I disconnected, I also totally disabled WiFi.
Eventually, even after using extremely low time, it ate almost all my Skype credit (luckily I didn't have too much...).

I have over $100 in skype credit vouchers and do not see a way to use them for a yer long subscription or even a month long subscription. Is this not possible?

I think it is not possible to convert credits to subscription or use them to purchase one.

Look for a None option in the Payment Methods;
If you do not have one you will have to supply a bank card or redeem an iTunes Gift Card.

For apps, sorry but no. Canadian users cannot, for reasons not well explained, cannot purchase software from the iTunes Store via prepaid cards. You'll need to enter in a credit card, at least temporarily, to pay off the balance.

If it was an audiobook then they are one-time only downloads, to get it on your other devices you need to sync it to them and not re-download it oneach. Have you checked to see if the developers of the Netflix app have an older compatible version of their app in your country's app store ? Try downloading the current version on your computer's iTunes so that the app is in your purchase history, and then on your iPad go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app and see if you can download an older compatible version of it.

Download indesign after paying for membership/subscription and it asks for a code

I dowloaded indesign after paying for a subscription for it. My trial ran out so i decided to try the monthly subscription. I have paid and received a confirmation email of my payment..however when I try to open indesign it asks for me to license the software and enter a 16 digit code.. which i was not supplied with. I tried uninstalling indesign and re-installing it after logging in and out of the creative cloud to see if it would update - however no change. Help would be much appreicated as i have a deadline tomorrow!! Thanks
