Why can't I redeem serial number?

I downloaded a trial and after a month I purchased creative cloud through my school. I used my redeem code the school emailed me and after a couple of weeks I opened my photoshop and it's telling me my trial is up and I cannot use my redeem code to get my serial number again because technically it's been used again. How do I fix this problem so I can use photoshop that I purchased again?

    Not sure why you need the serial # if you phone is locked.
    Plug it into iTunes, and you can get the serial #, and also unlock your phone.

    Unfortunately, no. Creative Suite serial numbers are platform specific: Windows only or Mac only.

    The serial number was included in the box ARD came in; the Apple Store will not have a record of it. If you've lost the serial number, you'll need to purchase a new copy of ARD, probably a good idea anyway since 2.2 won't run on any version of Mac OS X since, if memory serves, 10.4. It's a lot cheaper through the Mac App Store than it was back when you first purchased.

I purchased Lightroom 4 and provide my serial number then it asks for the prior serial number for Lightroom 3. The serial number that I have has letters and numbers and will not work.     As noted by JimHess the Educational version comes with a CODE and INSTRUCTION for what you need to do to get a valid serial number.
    You must follow those instructions to get a valid serial number for LR 3.
    But I must add that if you had lightroom 3 since it was released, even the educational version, you must of at one time gotten the serial number for it.
    I'm not sure, since that version is now at least 4 years old (my copy is dated 2009), but I doubt Adobe is still running the serial number redemption service for lightroom 3.
    So if you can't find the serial number for that version of LR 3 you will need to buy a Full Version of either LR 4 or LR 5
