Why can't i reproduce vibrant neon colors in illustrator?

I have gone thru the spectrum and even used the eye dropper on images, but I can't get the colors to show up as obnoxious and nuclear as they look in images.

In addition to making your documetbn colro mode >> RGB, note the smapling bitnap images using SHIFT eyedropper is nto accurate.
you cannot set it to 1 pixel sample so it averages
SHIFT eyedropper sameples what is being sent to the screen and is jsut an approximation and not the actual pixel data
To get your color more nuclear doubleclick on the your fill color, then on saturation and slide towards 100.
and then brightness, depending on how nuclear you desire. 100% in both S & B will be the most obnoxious.

Assuming Apple doesn't eviscerate the files of the secondary graphics with another upgrade, there could be a plug in that reads the graphic and runs along side iTunes..we should get someone or Apple to program an alternative If we have to accept this downgrade in iTunes proper.
I've developed a quick workaround, and am still hoping Apple will fix this!
Go To Get Info on the tune you want to see secondary artwork for.
Go To the Artwork tab
Drag the back cover to the desktop, and it will create a new jpg you can open with quick viw or prieview where you can see it large!
you end up with a lot of jpgs on the desktop to discard!

Why can't I open DWG files in Adobe Illustrator CS6? I recently upgraded to Mac OS X Mountain Lion & got a new Mac Pro. Then I signed up for the Creative Cloud. Now I cannot open any DWG files in Illustrator. Why?

No, not really. I do get a few error messages when I start up now, but I had transferred everything from my old computer, so figured it was a glitch. The error message was a dialogue box like the others, only it said this:
"Insecure start-up item disabled. Library/Startup Items/.DS_Store/ has not been started because it does not have the proper security settings."
"Insecure start-up item disabled. Library/Startup Items/ES1000Service/ has not been started because it does not have the proper security settings."
"Insecure start-up item disabled. Library/Startup Items/Parallels/ has not been started because it does not have the proper security settings."
I know for sure we have not used Parallels in the past 2 years that I have been here.
As for the other two star-tup items, I am not entirely sure what thier purpose is.
Would any of these have anything to do with it?

Why can't I change the background color of my UIView in IB?

I have a rootController which controls several other ***ViewController's and I have been doing the usual thing by changing the background color in IB. However, for one controller, I cannot change it's background color from the default no matter what I do.
To be clear, each new controller created has been done in the same manner using the UIViewController subclass with nib file.
I have cleaned the project and deleted the app from my iPhone countless times and still no change.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Why can't I assign a particular color to an event?

I've been using Entourage as my primary mail and calendar program for over ten years. I have an iPhone and Mobileme and think it's time to intergate everything into Mac.
However, I've been disappointed by iCal. Unlike Entourage, it doesn't seem to offer any features in terms of categorizing/color coding specific events.
I have created two calendars, one for work and one for personal. Problem is that the events in each calendar are automatically assigned the same color as the calendar, ie. all personal events are orange, all work events are blue. If you click on "Edit", there are no options available to change the color.
I would like the ability to change the color of particular events. Can this be done?
Also, what's up with the muted color palette in iCal? Is there any way to introduce some more interesting colors?
Overall, I feel that iCal is pretty poor and certainly not up to the standards of other programs such as iWeb, iPhoto or iTunes. It needs a major overhaul.
Any suggestions would be great, otherwise I'll stick with Entourage.

You can create many calendars, each with its own colour, to try and differentiate events more easily, but you can't apply colours to individual events.
You can get a wider colour palette by clicking 'other' in the colour chooser, which opens the full Mac colour options palette, allowing you set up any colour you want.
But if you want/need to be able to colour individual events, that doesn't help much, I'm afraid.
Generally, iCal is much more limited than Entourage, partly because it's not really designed as a PIM, more a simple calendar.

Why can't I change the background color on title slides in 10.0.2?

I can change the font color, but the background only seems to be able to be black. any truth in that? Seems like the older version I had let me change the background color.

Why can't I change the highlight color in iBooks?

After the last update of iBooks app, I can’t change the color of the highlighter. I press down and hold on a piece of highlighted text, but the color and notes toolbar doesn’t pop-up. Is anyone else having this problem? Fixes?

I just tried it. After a section was highlighted, I just tapped once on it and the color options popped up. Tapping once does the trick..... rather than holding down and pressing, which I agree would have been my first choice, too.

Why can't the adjustment brush add color to white/highlights?

I recently tried to use the adjustment brush to add som color to white/highlights, without success . I have learned that the color chosen for the adjustment brush will mix with the underlaying colors. The surrounding areas were colored as expected, however apperently no effect on the white/blown highlights. Am I doing anything wrong?

I did this in LR. There's no detail at all in the window with or without Recovery set to 100.Here Recovery is set to 0.

Why can't I view my links in my Illustrator CS5 layouts?

I have several .ai files that have linked files that I suddenly can not see in my layout. I checked the links and they are unbroken. Others in the office running the same Illustrator version can open and see them fine. Have I inadvertently change a view setting in my app?

Using FontExplorer as a font management software by any chance? Try disabling the plugin.

Why can't I find certain Pantone plus colors in Illustrator CS6 color books? For example I want to use PMS 2296C, but it is not coming up in the color swatch book in Illustrator.

I actually just came across the same thing in the meantime.
And it worked!
If you bought the physical Pantone books, there is a registration/serial number on the back. You can go to Pantone and register it (https://www.pantone.com/pages/MYP_myPantone/mypProductRegistration.aspx)
Then you're able to download the Pantone manager.
There are infact 336 new colors added to the Pantone Plus series. And this is where you need to get them. Once you have them, in Pantone color manager, you go to: File/Export/Adobe Illustrator/sRB. Then restart Illustrator.
Once you go back in, the new 336 colors are available!

Why can't I see the keyframes in color over stroke?

Why can't I see the keyframes in color over stroke? I am trying to adjust a heart beat monitor effect I created. I started with a bezier line and gave it a light streak #3 style. In the Color Over Stoke shape window I can click the arrows left and right to jump from KF to KF but they will not appear as editable points in the keyframe editor. I wonder if this is a bug?

Here's what I did to see them
-Added a line shape
-Dropped Light Steak 3 style on the line layer in the layer list.
-Selected the line and in the inspector, went to Shape>Stroke>Color over stroke.
-Selected the first color tag in the gradient.
-At the far right side of the color parameter, clicked the downward facing arrow and selected "Show in Keyframe Editor" option.
The keyframes show up in the keyframe editor. Repeat for each color or opacity tag as needed.

Thanks KT. I did mean the Fill color, but my real issue is that changing the fill color in the inspector doesn't change the color of the selected object. In tis case, I was trying to chnage the fill color from pale blue to the more ingense blue:
