Why can't I save a PDF from email to my Photostream?

I'm trying to save a PDF image from my email (accessed on my iPhone) to my Photostream so I can message it. So far it only lets me open in iBooks, which doesn't allow me to save to my phone from there either (unless I"m missing something).
I want to message a PDF because I'm hoping the text within the PDF image will be able to be highlighted (the text is an email address).
---- Is there a way to save a PDF format to Photostream to be able to message it?
---- Also, does anyone know for sure what format allows text to remain live or highlightable for copying/pasting?
Thanks so much for your help!

Not true. I add PDF screen shot clippings to Photostream from the Finder all the time. You can do this via iPhoto or Aperture. I created a "Work" photostream to which I add clippings and PDF documents from the Finder so that I have access to them across all my laptops and iOS devices.

Don't know! You'll have to give us more details of what's happening when you try. Can you print other documents OK? When you try to print, does the printer icon appear in the dock - click on it and see if there are any printer messages.

Why can I not create a PDF from a web page on my Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro on my new Windows 8 computer? It worked fine on my windows XP system?

Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 8,  for the simple reason it was
created much before it and Adobe could not participate the changes to the
OS that Microsoft implemented many years later on. You need to buy the
    current version for compatibility.

    Back up all data.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go > Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

Yeah, if this is the way it's supposed to work its a useless and, dare I say, stupid "feature". Wouldn't the whole point of this be to have quick access to groups of pages. If I have to select them each time to create the group what is it doing for me?

  • Why can't I print to PDF from other document types when I'm on a wireless connection?

Example: When I'm on a wireless connection and attempt to print a Powerpoint file to PDF, the document remains in the Adobe Acrobat PDF printer queue in a status of "Error..Printing". I do not have this issue when I'm on a wired internet connection. My only option when converting documents to PDF while on wireless is to select "Save As" and save as a .pdf file type. This option does not maintain all of the formatting of the original file, so my preference is to print to pdf.

Interesting. What happens if you open Acrobat and select:
Acrobat 9: File > Create PDF > From File
Acrobat 11: File > Create > PDF from File

  • Why can't I save a PDF

After updating to the current version of reader the ability to save PDFs I am viewing has essentially gone away.  This is horribly and completely unacceptable.
For a while clt shift s seemed to work; but even that no longer seems to work.
How and I save a PDF I am viewing from an online source? This seriously needs to be in the main stream of right click, and any other approaches to a PDF. There is minimal utility to viewing but not being able to save.
Using Win 7 64 bit and Firefox.
The problem seems to be confined to Firefox.  I downloaded the same file with IE and was able to save it using clt/shift s. Just like I used to be able to do (a week or so ago, maybe) with Firefox. And as far as I know I have not updated anything related to Reader. Might be related to a Firefox add-on update.
It is stupid that I have to use those keyboard shortcuts to do something that was always avaialble on the Reader screen; but now even those shortcuts don't work. Adobe really has never gotten used to the idea that Windows exists. They certainly have disdained the common usage rules of Windows. Like download/update etc. But this sucks a lot.
Short note to Adobe - user accounts should not be the email address and then have the user name as another field.  The account needs to be under the user name. If you insist in doing this your way, at least display the fact that you, among very few other net sources, use the email address when presenting the login screen.  That IS NOT the same as user ID.
Yall just don't get it.  Hire a Windows person. Please. Please.
Do not assume I think Windows is superior in any way except market domination.
Keep in mind, this is my PC; not yours.

Is this Safari 3 or Safari 4?
You have to wait for the PDF to be 100% loaded before the Save As option is available.

I do have this app on my iphone and it works great. My issue in when I try to download a PDF from a page in Safari. Chrome does it without any problems. I'm just trying to use Safari more as it is apparently "faster" and "uses less power". Thisis based on the latest information I viewed from the WWDC.

  • Why can't I open a pdf from a web-site

Windows 7 Home is my operating system.  Internet Explorer 10 is my browser.  I cannot open a pdf file off my VISA account web-site.  I have downloaded and agreed to the latest Adobe Reader XI (I also have Adobe X, should I uninstall it?)    When I try to open the pdf file which is my monthly VISA statement, I get this message:  "To help protect your security, your web browser has blocked this website from displaying non-secure content."  I have also turned off the pop-up blocker.  Nothing works.  Can anyone help.  I am a novice on computer technology, so I don't know much about the way the computer works (my husband is the expert in this household, but he's recovering from heart surgery and is not yet able to think through these situations).  I thought I already posted this problem, but I can't find my post.

  • Why can't I save a pdf page?

Why does Apple disable the "SaveAs..." option when it comes to saving pdf web page? It didn't disable it in earlier versions? Most PDF files are publicly accessible downloadable files (not protected or have any intellectual property protection) not much different than any HTML files, so why does Safari disable the SaveAs option?
It is irritating that you have to use FireFox or other browser to save a simple file.
There are many other types of file that Safari disabled the SaveAs option, such as audio and video file format.
