Why can't I "Save as Text" a pdf file received as an email attachment?

I can "Save as text" a pdf file which I have created in my own computer (that is, it goes into MS notebook that I then can Copy and Save as an MS Word file) but not when I receive a pdf as an email attachment. (The file is saved, but it is empty.) Why would I want to convert my own pdf back to text? Well, in case I no longer have the original Word document I suppose, but the thing is "Save as text" works with my pdf, but not with those I recieve from others. How come? Thanks!

Is this a scanned PDF? If so, it must first be OCR'd.

why can't I save as my photoshop cs4 file to .png file? I don't see any option for saving .png in Save As diolog box now? It was working fine until yesterday. Neither I can open a .png file nor save my psd file to png file?

In Photoshop CS4, .png open/save support was provided by a plug-in. It is possible the plug-in has been deleted or moved, or has become unavailable to Photoshop because of a change in file protections.
Do you have the file PNG.8BI on your system. It should be here on a 32 bit Windows system:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Plug-ins\File Formats\PNG.8BI

ANSWER FOUND!
Once I finished composing my question I went back and spent some time to figure out the problem. Rather than choosing the "save as" option, which doesn't work, or attempting to choose "export" (grayed out), the correct option is to choose "export creation", which is near the very bottom of the initial drop down options. That works! I still think it would make sense to have it as an option in the "save as" area.

Why can't I save a text written from PC to "Sent" ...

I thought I'd type in a text at the keyboard. I thought it would be a faster experience than using the phone keys even with predictive text. After going to the trouble of entering a contact into phone memory, because PC Suite can't access contacts in the SIM card, I now find I can't save the text I've been able to send to the "sent" folder.
Why? What am I doing wrong - is this another bug?

Have you tried a hard reset (holding the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time until the screen goes black and the apple logo appears)? If so, and if you're still having issues, have you tried to restore through iTunes as a backup? If so, and if you're still having problems, have you tried restoring through iTunes as a new device?

Why can't Safari 5.1 (lion) open pdf files

Ever since the lion & safari updates I can't click on a pdf file on a safari page and get it to open. Any suggestions?

If you are using Adobe Acrobat read here > Apple Safari 5.1 and Adobe Reader/Acrobat Advisory
You can use Preview to view PDF files if you want by right or control clicking a PDF file you have on the hard drive then click Get Info.
Click the pop up menu next to: Open with
Select Preview. Then click: Change All...

In order to type on an existing PDF file you need to use the commenting tool available in Adobe Reader and Acrobat both.

Why can't I save via alias into LLB file?

On LabVIEW 7.1, OS X, Do this:
Create a new Blank VI.
Select SAVE AS, and create a new library (LLB), somewhere on your file system.
Save the VI into that library.
In the Finder, Find that LLB file, and make an alias to it.
Drag the alias to the desktop.
In LabVIEW, select FILE-OPEN.
In the dialog, navigate to the desktop, and select the alias.
Why do I get an error saying "An error occurred while listing the contents of xxxxxx", where "xxxxxx" is the alias itself?
Why doesn't it resolve the alias to its target?
I suspect this is a bug, unless there's some option I don't know about. I've tried "Use Native File Dialogs" - no difference.

I take it that "our" R&D group refers to NI ?
Here's an even easier case:
Create an alias to any existing LLB file, anywhere on your disk.
Put the alias anywhere.
Double-click the alias, and you get the expected behavior.
But use the OPEN dialog to choose the alias and it complains about an error listing the contents.

Why can I no longer download and read .pdf files

I have never had any problems downloading and reading .pdf files until I 'upgraded' the Adobe reader to version 11. Now all attempted downloads fail because "I don't have the necessary helper application or even C:\DOCUME~1\Will-o\LOCALS~1\Temp\Back Channel II - The Vietnam Betrayal - Chaps 1&2.pdf could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences. What in the world is going on and how do I fix it?
Under 'Tools - Applications - Adobe Acrobat Document, the I've selected 'Use Adobe Reader.' However since I also have Adobe Acrobat 8.3, I've tried substituting that for the Reader, but that doesn't work either. Please help.

In the new iphoto app, why can't i save multiple images to camera roll at once?

why can't i save multiple images to camera roll at once? it seems i can only save one at a time and its very frustrating..
the options seem to be there, they are just greyed out and i cant click on them.
at first i thought its because the images were too big, so i tried it with smaller images but same thing.

I can confirm @khaniff's original post the option in iPhoto for iOS is greyed out in conflict with the referenced article that follows:
Save to the Camera Roll
Tap a photo, album, or event and tap .
Tap Camera Roll.
Confirm or change the photos you want to share by tapping an option.
Select all the photos in an album or event: Tap All.
Select a range of photos: Tap Choose, tap Range, tap the first and last photos in the range, and tap Next.
To use your photo in another app, open the app and select the Camera Roll album.

I compose an iMessage with the destination as my email address and I attach 2 photos I want on my PC. I send them several times from my iPhone 5C but they never arrive. I look at my ipad later and realize that it's iMessage app is getting ( and swallowing) these emails. I then turn the ipad off. Still can't get the photos through because iphone is now getting them on it's iMessage. I turn off the iMessage feature and try to send photos from text msging. Phone tells me it can't send photos unless iMessage it turned on. What happened to regular MMS text messaging? I go and try to send photos as an email attachment and see that there is no option to attach from the stupid email program. I look up online to learn about the brave new world of apple attachments and send them.

If iMessage is turned off I don't have the issue.

Did not work. I've selected iMessage to ON and left it. After a few hours I recieved a message "activation unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage to try again". This has been going on for the past 3 days.
