Why can't I save the sender of a text to my contacts?

Whenever I get a text from someone who is not in my contacts, I can't save their phone number to my contacts. I think there used to be a button at the top of the conversaton that gave me the choice to save, but it's no longer there. Also, the manual says that all I have to do is tap the phone number, but that doesn't work. Anyone know what's going on and how do I save these people to my contacts without having to cut and paste? Thanks!

It's because you have a paragraph text box and it doesn't automatically resize text. This way you can change the margins of the text without resizing it which is how paragraph text functions by default.
I'm not seeing the new text paragraph/area indicator on your text box, which is what you get in Illustrator CC, so the only way to convert this text so you can resize it by dragging on the corners is to copy the text, deselect the text box, use the text tool to click once in another part of your document, and then paste the text. The text will then come into your document as one long line if you don't have hard returns in it, but after reflowing the text manually you'll be able to drag the corners to resize the text.
I would recommend not going this route as any text you remove from the area type means that the rest of the text has to be manually adjusted to maintain correct margins. Instead just resize the bounds of the paragraph text and adjust the size of the font in the Character panel.

Why can't i save the same bookmarks in different locations?

Why can't I save a bookmark for a particular site in multiple locations? If I already have it saved, for instance, in the bookmarks menu, and I then try to save an additional copy into the bookmarks folder, the copy in the bookmarks menu will disappear. This is incredibly frustrating. Thanks.

Using the "star" at the right end of the Location bar, you can only save to one location.
Using the Bookmark Sidebar (CTRL+B opens and closes the Bookmarks Sidebar), you can drag the icon at the left end of the Location Bar to other locations, one at a time, into a folder (will be placed at the bottom of the items already in the folder) or into any position, including a position within a folder. The image below demonstrates; the image is old, but the method still works. This is the only method that I use for Bookmarking, as I place some Bookmarks in multiple folders and I keep the Bookmarks Sidebar open most of the time for easier access.

Why can't FC save the folder locations set for render files?

I wrongly assumed that when you go to system settings to select the scratch disks (root folder where all the audio and video render folders and files go, capture files, etc.) that Final Cut would save the folder locations within the FC project you are working in. Makes total sense, but for reasons I don't understand, FC does NOT save these folder locations and the result is that I have render files scattered all over the place on my hard drive and it is quite a mess! Fortunately, the project file remembers where it put the render files, so as long as you don't remove or rename any project folders, everything shows up rendered on the time line as it should. The problem is, if I'm working on several projects at once, I have to reset the scratch disks every time I reopen a project, otherwise the program will save it to the last scratch location selected and put all of the render files in another project's folder. I often forget to reset the scratch disks when I'm busy and now I have render files mixed up in various project folders.
Why can't you just set the scratch disks one time when you first set up the project and have the project always remember that location, instead of always having to reset them every time you reopen a project. I love Final Cut, but this is a product defect that should be addressed and corrected. If the project file can remember where it is putting all the render files, it should also be capable of remembering the scratch disk locations you originally selected when you first set up the project or better yet, save it to the project's root folder by default. Am I missing something here?

As MtD describes, FCP sets file locations for ALL projects at the system level. It may help to organize things this way so your files don't end up scattered across multiple locations.
Save the project files to your User folder on the boot drive.
For all the other files FCP creates, set them on a non-boot drive similar to this:

Of course, you can choose to keep renders or the Autosave Vault folder on other drives ... just keep them off your boot drive. It may not be the way you're use to working, but it's worked well for me the past 14 years. When you finish with a project and ready to delete the associate files, just go to your media drive and delete folders bearing the project's name.

as soon as i click ok on the corrected screen, it reveals the underlying original uncorrected image. i don't see any options to save the image.

In version 10 hold down Alt+Ctrl+Shift while starting PSE. Answer Yes to the prompt box. This is what it will look like (except yours will say 10 in the Title).

When I receive a text message that had a picture I don't have the option to save the picture to my iPhone. Am I missing something?

If you tap the picture, you should see a box on the bottom left with an arrow pointing up. The first option at the bottom of the next sheet should be "Save Image"

Why can't I save the form I created in Acrobat XI as a Reader Extended PDF?

I created and saved the document just like I have always done, with form and signature fields. When I click file>save as>reader extended, it let's me go through and name a new verison of the file, but then says "This document cannot be saved as reader enable." It gives no reason. If I can't save it as reader enabled, as I've done in the past with every single form, I'd like to know WHY so that I can fix it.

I have run into this issue at times too. If you have the original document that you used to create the form saved in a folder in Windows Explorer, try closing Windows Explorer before saving the document with reader extended properties enabled. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesnt. . .

What is this symbol? And why can't I save the pics sent to me?

Hi. I just received 15 pictures from my dad, but all the normal way of saving them "add to iphoto" "save" "save as" are disabled - even just dragging them to the desktop. i try to do any of them and the save button is greyed.
this symbol is in the inbox message.
Any idea what that is?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Why can't I save the changes I've made to a .vit?

I've created and saved a .vit file that's called from a another .vi.
Then, i went back and tweaked the .vit file (and saved it as the original .vit filename), this ran fine by itself.
But, when i call this file from the 'main' .vi, those changes didn't show up, it was still the original file.
I'm very sure i saved the changes under the proper file name and extension, what am i missing?

In your "main" vi, how exactly are you caling the vit? Are sure you are calling the vit, or a vi instance created from the vit? Mike...

Why can't I save my document or move text in chart?

Why would I not be able to save a pages document, even though I've had no problem with the same document in the past?
Also, I can't move the text in the pie chart, any suggestions. The selection handles are circular so I'm asuming this has something to do it with but how do I change them to squares?

Seems to me your two problems are one. Generally square handles indicate that you can move or resize an object. The circular handles (in charts - you don't see them elsewhere as far as I know) tell you that you have chosen the contents of the object to work with them (much like double clicking on a text box to modify its contents - except that in that case the selection is indicated by a colour fill, which would be obscured by charts - hence the different convention.
With the chart as a whole you can "edit contents" overall. With circular handles on a pie chart, however, you can alter the presentation of contents within or around them sector by sector: i.e., font or colour fill, and data fill - the selection of fields from "edit contents" you want to be shown as labels.
Once having selected those, you can select the panels to show round handles and alter the font size and colour as usual. However movement of this data is confined to "inside" or "outside" the chart, selected (again) from the data point label field in the chart inspector.
The reason you can't save a document with circular handles showing in a chart is simply that you have work in progress: you have not yet told Pages what it is you want to save, or that your selection is completed. Other than for the selection process, the program is effectively stopped.
To revert to your unhandled chart, simply click outside it once your selection is finished. You should then be able to save your document in the normal way. If this is not the case, then you would appear to have two separate problems, and I'd be as baffled as you about that.
Someone else would have to help you cross that bridge if you came to it.
But I rather suspect you won't have to.

Open the message, go to Options -> Automatic find on (Most probably this would be set to off). Now, scroll down, and when the number is highlighted, go to Options -> Use number -> choose from call/add to contacts, etc.

In the new iphoto app, why can't i save multiple images to camera roll at once?

why can't i save multiple images to camera roll at once? it seems i can only save one at a time and its very frustrating..
the options seem to be there, they are just greyed out and i cant click on them.
at first i thought its because the images were too big, so i tried it with smaller images but same thing.

I can confirm @khaniff's original post the option in iPhoto for iOS is greyed out in conflict with the referenced article that follows:
Save to the Camera Roll
Tap a photo, album, or event and tap .
Tap Camera Roll.
Confirm or change the photos you want to share by tapping an option.
Select all the photos in an album or event: Tap All.
Select a range of photos: Tap Choose, tap Range, tap the first and last photos in the range, and tap Next.
To use your photo in another app, open the app and select the Camera Roll album.
