Why can't I see my "sent mail" emails?

Hi. My coworker is using Thunderbird, and two days ago, he suddenly lost all of the thousands of emails in his "Sent" folder only. I've tried deleting the .msf files, and right now, his computer is reindexing the global index. Neither of them seem to be working. I haven't yet tried to re-install the profile, namely because we don't want to lose any of the other emails.
The 'sent' folder has been working fine since 3/4 (yesterday) but it completely wiped itself out on March 3rd with no warning, and there's nothing in it before the fourth. He's using POP to store his emails on his computer.

You may need to go to icloud.com, open Mail, click on the gear-shaped icon on the bottom left and choose Preferences, then on the General tab confirm under Mailboxes that you have checked "Save sent messages in" and selected your "Sent" folder.

    The previous Mail did have:
    MAILBOXES
    ON MY MAC
The above separated the mailboxes slightly.
Yes, the On My Mac has been removed and everthing comes under one heading of Mailboxes now.
All my mailboxes are there that I had before though.

  • Why can't I see recent sent messages on my Macbook Air?

My recent sent messages do not show in my sent mail list

Downloading the iPad app into iTunes would not have any effect on your MacBook Air as it is an iPad app. iPad apps won't install or run on a MacBook as the iPad and MacBook have 2 different operating systems. Some developers offer 2 versions of an app with similar capabilities (one for iOS iPad and one for OS X Mac) but it appears there is no Mac app for it.
I did try using their website http://www.readwritethink.org/parent-afterschool-resources/games-tools/timeline- a-30246.html#overview and was able to save from there on my MacBook Air using Safari version 8.0

  • Why can't i see photos in iCloud emails?

I receive emails from family and friends who own PCs not Mac computers and 90% of the time the photos do not load in the iCloud Mail emails I receive. What is the reason for this? Thanks one and all!

I was having the same problem. Any Apple emails, or emails with large number of graphics would show up as unloaded boxes.
Go to Settings - "Mail, Contacts, Calendars", and under Mail there's a setting for "Load Remote Images". Turn that on and you should be good to go.

  • Why can't I see my xtra mail contacts on my ipad mail

I have the latest ipad but cannot get my yahoo. Xtra mail contacts on my ipad mail. I have been into iTunes but cannot find any tab that says export yahoo contacts on iTunes. Thanks

I"m sorry I didn't read that closely enough. I'm afraid all I can offer is that it's probably a glitch on Apple's end, which means there's not much folks can do beyond force quitting the app to make it reload (double tap the home button, when you see the preview for the app, flick it up and off the screen, then single tap on the home button to exit that mode)

  • Why can't i see notes in mail

Now that i have upgraded, my Notes are not visable in Mail.  Can I incorporate them back in?

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Why can I not see my mac mail folders on my iPad?

I also use MobileMe and yes it uses IMAP by default.
Okay, it's simple than. The folders you've created are local folders which are not stored on the server.
In order to change that open Mail.app select Mailbox->New Mailbox and make sure you choose MobileMe at Location.
Now drag&drop your "On my Mac" mails into that new "MobileMe" folder. After a few min. they should be synced.

sonnay, are you also in South Africa like the original poster whose message you tacked onto?
A lot of countries only have app store, no music or video stores. Because of copyright laws that are different between every nation. Stupid, that the laws are different, but that's the way it is.

I know I have new mail why can't I see it in Apple Mail?

    Oh.
This seems to be a common problem with Yahoo (search this site)
I only have one piece of advice to offer. Change your email provider to one that is not Yahoo.
