Why can't i select the tools ?

i can't select tools
in the screenshot i zoom on a wave and tried to move the point on the wave , you can see the red arrow (i added the red arrow because my english sucks)
and there is a second arrow , on the tool , i can 't select in the waveform
why?
i use audition cs5 under w7
The spot healing brush is designed for use in Spectral Frequency Display mode--click on the tool with the red/orange display at the other end of the tools from the one you want to use and you should get the control you want.
Beyond that, to get the best out of the tool you'd probably draw around the specific mix of frequency and time you want to "heal" rather to just try to manipulate a single sample.
Have a play--you can do some pretty amazing things with the spot healing brush.

Why can I only select the 'I' beam tool?
Audition CS6 in Master Collection...I'm new to it so it might be finger trouble on my part, but I'm working on an MP3 file and all I can get is the I beam tool. The others (move, razor, slip, marquee etc.) are visible, but not active. Any ideas?

AndyYeah I know, I'm talking about clicking on the tool bar at the top left. I've got the I beam cursor. That's it. I cant choose any of the other tools to the left or right of the I beam icon. ('Select' probably wasn't the appropriate word) Maybe I'll reinstall it. Does that mean I have to reinstall all of Master Collection too? And all my Premiere and Photoshop plugins ? I'm on Windows 7 Pro 64bit btw

Why can't I get the tools in the upper left of the Organizer Screen...Elements 9?
Perhaps the page is too large and the tools are above my screen. I can't access them, can't "Import" any of my pictures. I've been in "Edit" and done work there.
But this is the first time I've tried to use the Organizer.
Help!I suspect it may have something to do with your monitor settings. Go to the control panel and check dpi scaling under Appearance or Display.
It’s not uncommon to see a setting of 125% or higher to improve screen readability but PSE requires a dpi of 96 or 100%
Whilst the Editor Menu will appear at 120% to 149% the Organizer Menu (and the advanced button in downloader) won’t. Sometimes the mouse or tool cursors are distorted.
Try a setting of 115% to 120% otherwise use 100%. A common display resolution, notably for notebooks/laptops, and netbooks is 1024 x 768 but PSE requires a screen height of 800 for full functionality. If your height resolution is out of the range 768 to 800 try experimenting with the slider/settings. -
Why can I not select the 3d rotation tool? HELP!
I have my object converted to a symbol and I have "created a motion tween" but the 3d rotation tool is greyed out and I cannot use it. Help!
3D rotation tool is not available in Flash CC 'Canvas' document. Try creating a new file (Flash ActionScript 3.0) and creating movieclip in it.

Why can I not select the transparency flattener preset option when exporting to a pdf?
Hi all,
I have not had to use this option in quite a while so may have forgotten a few things.
In InDesign, under Edit>Transparency Flattener Presets, I have created a new preset and included the option of converting all text to outlines.
However, when I try to export to a PDF, the option to select a transparency flattener preset is greyed out.
Can you tell me what I may be doing wrong? This is driving me crazy!:(
(There was originally no transparency in the file, so I created some with a white square set to 0.5% opacity).

Where is Verizons email for CONTACT?Why can't I select the date to make a payment?
How come when I pay my Bill with a credit card & Or debit card I cannot chose a date in advance for paynent? 99.99% of the bills I pay online (AT&T included) when I schedule a bill payment with a credit card &/or debit I can schedule payment 2 months to a year in advance. Why not Verizon? Perhaps I wouldn't have any late fees if they had it setup that way? Perhaps that IS why they do so they can get those extra fees? Also why is it so difficult to contact Verizon, why don't they have an email addy? I have an acct with verizon for my Hub and a wireless acct with AT&T. I am looking for a new carrier for my wireless phone & most likely my hub now for I've crossed Verizon off my list of a new carrier if they make things this difficult on such easy problems. Apparently they don't want to be customer friendly!
You bill due date is the same date every month. It is not all that difficult to pay on time.

Quicktime and Playing Audio CDs - Why Can't I Select the Whole CD to Play?
I unfortunately agreed to update my Quicktime software when prompted by Apple. Since then, when I try to play audio CDs while working on my Mac, I have to select one song at a time and then select "play" in order to hear it. Now, only 48 hours ago, all I had to do was double click on the audio CD and the whole thing would play with no problem. This is why I am so wary of this so-called "convenient" and "user friendly" update alerts because you never know what the update actually contains and how it is going to change the behavior of your computer!

Would assume most people now use iTunes to import/convert audio files for playback/storage on their computer/iPod and/or burning of custom MP3 CDs which hold on the order of 10 times as much music and are compatible with most current generation CD/DVD players. -
I'm trying to migrate my music and pictures over to my new iMac. When I use the migration assistant it connects to my PC fine but it won't let me use the account name and username that I have created as the admin. It requires me to create a new user account - so then I have two separate accounts to log in to which i don't want. How do I get it to let me use the current account that I have to move my files to?
Thanks!Migration Assistant creates a new account and migrates all the information you have requested to that new account. There is no way around that. However once migrated you can move the data to the account you want to. Here are some instructions for doing so:

Why can't I use the Basic brush tool?
I'm learning the ropes of drawing in Illustrator and I've fallen at the first hurdle. Why can't I use the Basic brush tool? Whenever I select the brush tool and use the 'Basic' brush type, the cursor turns into a hashed circle indicating I can't draw. If I load other brushes, I can draw with other brush types, but I can't use the Basic one. If I select the Basic brush when I have other brushes loaded and try to draw with it, it always defaults to a different brush! I don't understand why.
On a related matter, I'm also having trouble changing brush size. I know that using the [ and ] keys changes brush size, but I have no idea what the values are. If I try this in Photoshop, I can see the brush size in the Options bar, but in Illustrator it doesn't appear anywhere! Not in the Brushes palette, the Stroke palette or the Appearance palette. The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Why can I not disable the guest user in the 10.8.2 update? I have never enabled the guest user, but after the update, it was automatically enabled with a "managed" tag. It is not selectable even after entering my admin password to unlock the options. I was able to select the account under "parental controls", but again, could not delete it. Why Apple? Why?!!????
SOLVED Ok. I actually was able to disable it. I had to actually log in as the guest user to make it accessible in the preference window. Then I disabled it and logged out. Apologies if this was obvious for some people, but I have had some sort of issue with something every update since Snow Leopard.

Why can't I open the filter gallery in Photoshop CC 2014? I've converted the photo layer into a smart object, but the filter gallery selection is still grayed out. How do I make it active?

Why can't I get the advanced selection available in epub export options in illustrator cc? It's not there and neither is image selection. only epub reflowable and fixed layout but not just epub.. I don't know where it is to do some book exercises for my studies. Very frustrating.

Why can't I select "get info" from the file area so I can change the setting to "open in 32-bit mode" ?
It may be because of your settings. You can modify that setting in System Preferences > Trackpad. Another way of making right-click is to click the app icon while holding the Control key
