Why can't I set a default calendar on my iPad?

On my iPhone, I can set a default calendar under the "Mail..." utility option, but this is NOT an option on my iPad. Is this just an oversight on Apple's part or am I overlooking the setting elsewhere on my iPad?

I see the setting in Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars/Calendars, at the bottom of the page.

You are talking about the forward, back, mail and trash can icons in the Notes App - correct?
I've gone through restarting it and followed the instructions from the person last week.
Have you restarted the iPad - is that what you mean? Have you quit and then restarted the app? Quit the app, and restart the iPad. It's worth a try.
Double tap the home button and your recent apps will appear at the bottom. Hold down on the Notes app icon until it begins to wiggle. Then tap the minus sign to quit the app. Then tap the screen. Now restart the iPad.
Carolyn explained this above (restart) but here it is again....
Hold down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and slide to shut off. Hold down on the sleep button until the Apple logos appears then let go of the button and the iPad will restart. See if that helps.

I see there were several missteps both by the reps and yourself in your post. First you should have insisted on returning the phone within the 14 day return policy period. Second which Samsung Galaxy mini model did you purchase? The S3 mini or the S4 mini? Did you do any research prior to deciding on this device. The reps at that time deflected the easiest course of action, by trying to get you to replace the phone under insurance instead of returning the phone. The Early Edge payment option requires the current phone on the line using the early Edge must be returned to Verizon Wireless. Did you once considered going to a third party site like Swappa to purchase a gently used device for your daughter?

Why can´t I see contacts and calendar events already registered in my iPhone, in my Mac Pro ? I already actualize LION OSX and selected these items in the adjustments menu of the icloud. I could do it just once, after I installed Lion OSX, but up to the moment it does not updates.

Assuming you activated iCloud, try going to Settings>iCloud and make sure Calendars and Contacts are set to ON.

Set a Default Calendar for New Appointments in iCal?

I never found a post with a sufficient answer to this question. However, it seems as though I may have stumbled on a resolution myself.
iCal has it's own default calendars: Home and Work. I use MobileMe so the MoblieMe calendar is listed there as well. I also have an iPhone 4. I wanted all calendars to syncronize automatically when I create a new appointment on any of the 3 locations (laptop, cloud, or phone). I found that when create a new event in iCal on my macbook pro, it wouldn't update with mobileme or my phone. This was because when I double click to create a new event, iCal automatically puts the new event into my "Home" calendar, even though it was unchecked and not highlighted. As soon as I double click to create the new event, iCal's default kicks in and the Home calendar in the "On My Mac" section suddenly becomes checked and highlighted all by itself and the new event is automatically placed there, never to be updated with the cloud or on my phone.
I think the problem may be related to something I read under "How Do I Set a Default Calendar for New Appointments in iCal?" There a solution given was that the uppermost calendar was being defaulted to and it was suggested to drag the desired calendar to the uppermost position. None of my calendars would drag anywhere. However, I find that if I uncheck Home and Work in the column on the left under "On My Mac" AND then click the arrow so those two calendars are hidden (very important), and then check and highlight the only showing calendar: MobileMe, that (so far) when I doulbe click to create a new event, a new event is created in the MobileMe calendar, and Home and/or Work under the "On My Mac" section never becomes checked or highlighted. So the new event is created only in the MobileMe calendar listed and updates on my laptop, in the cloud, and on my phone.
So far that has been my experience; but, it has been only minutes since I tried that, so let's see what happens after a couple of weeks or so of normal use and see if the problem is actually resolved.

This works for Google Calendar as well as for Mobile Me. I'm going to type a little more information here to see if I can help this answer come up more quickly for other users when they keyword search as I was doing.
This answer helped me reset and change the default calendar for iCal. I can now set my Google Calendar as the default calendar in iCal. When I create a new event in iCal, it syncs to Google Calendar as the default calendar without having to choose another calendar. All my iCal new events now go directly to Google Calendar and sync to my iPhone and iPad. I couldn't move the gmail google calendar to the top position, and just unchecking Home and Work didn't change where new events defaulted. Now my new events automatically go from iCal to google calendar, and I don't lose track of any events. I think you can set any calendar as the default iCal calendar for new events using this approach.

You can use iCloud to share the Calendar, that way she will always be up to date on that particular section of your work calendar. If you want to use iCloud, I would recommend backing up so you have a safe copy of your data.

Just found out that I had subcribed for a calendar which shows the numbers of the calendar weeks. Turned this off and no crash anymore.
How can I get the number of calendar weeks in a different way. So that no crashes occur?

Can eprint be set to default ENABLED

Photosmart Printer 75510 on XP. Efax is always available, but requires eprint to be enabled first. Does eprint have to be enabled every time I turn the printer on? Can it be set to default ON? Thanks.

It seems like you may be having trouble with your 7515 staying connected with Web Services. You can remedy this by setting a static IP and changing some DNS settings:
1. Press the "Wireless" icon on the front panel of your printer. Make note of the IP address.
2. Open a web browser on your PC and in the address bar clear everything out and type in the IP address from the printer and hit the enter key. This will open the EWS (embedded web server) for the printer.
3. Click the "Network" tab at the top of the page.
4. On the left side of the page under Wireless (802.11) click on "Networking," then click on "Network Address(IP)."
5. Change the IP selection from Automatic to Manual, and then click the "Suggest a Manual IP Address" button. Make note of what the new IP Address is, you will need this in step 8.
6. Below those fields you will see fields for DNS settings. You will need to fill those in as follows:
Manual Preferred DNS Server: 8.8.8.8
Manual Alternate DNS Server: 8.8.4.4
7. Click the "Apply" button. Once this is finished processing you may see a Warning message that says you may lose connection, and a message that says click the "OK" button to go back. Don't click the OK, button just close the page.
8. Now open a new browser window and enter the IP Address that you noted in step 5 in the address bar and press the enter key. If it opened the printer EWS page the settings were accepted successfully. You can close that browser page now.
9. Power cycle the printer by turning it off, disconnecting the power cord from the rear of the printer, wait 30 seconds, plug the printer back in and turn it back on.
10. Make sure that ePrint is on. It should stay enabled after this.

The way the date/time was displayed was changed in iOS7. There had been numerous complaints about not having a date/time stamp on all posts, so it was changed to display the time for all by sliding the post to the left. They left the date stamp to show differently. I couldn't tell you what it does for posts more than a week old, as I never save my messages that long.
Meg's post provides for software where you could move the SMS to the computer and it should contain a full date/time stamp on it.

With AT&T you can click on the phone icon - go to voicemial and at the top left where it says greetings click on it and you can set your voicemail greeting.

This is different from not being able to set up the account.
When you created the account, was access to the incoming mail server confirmed or was an error message provided?
If the account was set up successfully, the email account provider may by having a problem with their incoming mail server.
If not, try deleting and recreating the account.

But, the Express does not "extend" or "repeat" the wireless signal when it joins a network. In other words, wireless devices cannot connect to the AirPort Express the way that you have it set up.
If so can my Airport Extreme be set up to "join" my network and also extend the coverage of my network ?

The AirPort Extreme does not have this type of capability.
If you have both an AirPort Extreme and an AirPort Express.....my suggestion....again, found above in a previous post.....
It takes a minimum of two Apple routers to extend a signal using wireless.
You could do this by connecting the AirPort Extreme to your cable router using a permanently installed Ethernet cable and then configuring the AirPort Extreme to "create a wireless network".
Then add an AirPort Express in a location where it can pick up a strong wireless signal from the AirPort Extreme and configure the Express to "extend a wireless network".
You would not use the wireless on your cable router at all, unless you wanted to reserve that network for guests or something similar.
