Why can't I show timestamp on a shared variable?

I have two shared variables in a block diagram. They are in two different lvlibs, but both hosted on the same RT target.
One of them allows me to show the Timestamp.
The other does not.
Why? Is this just a bug in LV 8.2?

OK, I figured out the answer...
Because on the second variable, I selected "Shared Variable" from the palette, then did "Select Variable..." to get the variable I wanted.
If I had dragged and dropped the variable from the project window, then it woud have allowed me to show the timestamp.

How can I get a list of available shared variables from my device?

I have to develop a program to connect to many OPC ready devices. I don't have these devices yet but I have setup two PCs. One is simulating a device. Does anyone know how to read a list of the available shared variables on a device or on another PC so that I can use them later on in the program for reading and writing?

HT1420 Why can't iTunes show me which computers that are authorized? Why do I need to find those computers?

With my kids all over the place, why do I need to find every computer that is authorized? In order to deauthorize a specific computer, i need to find that computer and deauthorize it. i should be able to access my account and see the computers that are authorized, and select one or two for deauthorization. As an alternative, I should be able to purchase an additional pack of authorizations for my account. The authorization process is poorly designed and hard to use.

If you have 2 or more computers authorised then you can log into your account on your computer's iTunes and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need.

Why can Firefox not show ALT Tex on its web pages

I cannot get Firefox to show ALT Tex when the mouse passes over links ect. I do not have this problem with Internet Explorer. Please help me on this matter, as a web designer I would like this feture to work in Firefox.

ALT text is meant to be displayed when the image isn't displayed. The TITLE tag is for displaying information about the image. You should use both attributes for every image.

Why won't itunes show timestamps of the last year of back ups? Where do I find my backups that aren't listed?

A couple of days ago my phone died. I put it into recovery and when I tried to restore my data it told me that I had the wrong password. I tried every password that I could think of and then decided to set the phone up as a new phone, thinking that I'd be able to access my old data that way. WRONG!
I discovered that all my backups from 2014 and 2013 were no longer listed and only my backups from 2012 were listed.
When I've looked in that mobile app info on my pc no dates from 2013 and 2014 are listed. How do I find my backups that are no longer listed?
all my accounting apps have been wiped clean and I'm freaking out since I run my own accounting for my small business through it. I thought that I was safe because I've been backing up to my computer but now that info is no longer listed on itunes.
any advice on how to recover info?
I went to my recycling bin and found some of my apps in there and found the apps that were deleted on the day i backed up my files. Any advice on how to get that info back into my phone?

Additional info:
Tracks seem to be being corrupted on my G5, generally. If I play them in Quicktime they do the same thing; if I transfer them to the iPod they do the same thing.
Yet they're all fine on the laptop.
Maybe a hard drive problem?

Why can't I view responses and form shared with me anymore?

Someone shared a form with me, made me a co-author, and I was tweaking the form and getting responses on Adobe Forms Central with a user id that begins with swm. I bought Adobe Pro using a different user id and had problems getting my educational discount done. After 2 weeks of back and forth, the customer service people did eventually make it so that I have one user id, swm and a free adobe forms central account and a paid educational Adobe Pro account. I spent over 3 hours on the phone with adobe today over two calls trying to get this finalized today. However, NOW when I log into adobeforms central it tells me I don't have access to that document or permission to view it anymore even though I am using the same email, which is my adobe id.
Do I have to get the person who originally shared it with me to do something, or can I do it myself or with the help of adobe customer service? I do NOT want to bother the person that shared it with me if it's possible because the school will have to PAY that person! Please help!

Why can't I log in to Home Sharing?

I can't login into Home Sharing in iTunes. I'm using the right Apple ID and password. I keep getting "Home Sharing could not be activated because an error occurred (11556)." What is the issue? Someone please help - Thank You.

I found out what the issue was, it had to do with some parental controls I turned on for the kids. After I changed it back, it worked fine. It was an extremely frustrating event. I called apple support and they had no idea how to help me, and I figured it out myself while I was on the phone with them.

Why can't iTunes transfer songs with Home Sharing?

I am trying to transfer songs and tv shows onto my computer from another computer in my house and everything is working fine, but when I try to drag the songs, they won't move. What should I do?

what you want to see in iTunes is this (view from my MBP's iTunes seeing the library on my Mini)
if you then click on the house icon, it will change to this and the shared library will load. at that point, two buttons will appear in the lower right corner of the iTunes window, being settings and import
now you should be able to import any content from any shared library by selecting the content and clicking on import.
if the icon looks like this , home sharing has not been set up correctly.

Why can't I download images from a shared Album on my iPad?

Does not make much sense to me to build this app around the iPad and give it sharing capabilities but not be able to download from shared albums directly to the iPad.

Yes I am running the latest iOS version and the latest version of the Revel app. Camera roll access is enabled. Have either of you clicked on the link to a shared Album. There is not a save to camera roll option. I guess I have not made that clear enough.
Let's say I share an album. I tweet the share link to you. When you click that link, you go to Revel, and are able to view that album. The arrow that is in the top right hand corner where you would normally go to "save to camera roll" only has four options. "Tweet link, mail link, copy link, and open in Safari".
Ok, maybe if I open in safari I can save image. No, not allowed, and before you ask, allow downloading IS on. Again, nothing there to allow to save to camera roll.
Now if I get on my computer, and open the same link in the browser, I can download to my hearts content. I just can not do it on the iPad.

Why can't I get my itunes Home Sharing to work

Ok, So here is the deal. My iTunes is the most current version 11.0.2. I'm trying to use the Apple Remote apple and the itunes library on my laptop will apear, but my desktop wont. I looked into a problem that had occured to me before with my laptop and foud that it isn't the firewall situation with Bonjour. My desktop wont Home Share, even though it says its on. I realized this because, the share tab wont even apear in my library on my Desktop. My desktop library will not appear in the shared libraries on my laptop. This means that its a problem with my iTunes on the Desktop. I attempted unistalling and reinstalling iTunes in on my Desktop and still my Home Sharing will not work properly. I need help determining the problem and fixing it.

I am afraid, the HP 5610 (which is in your profile) uses LIDIL (Lightweight Imaging Device Interface Language).
LIDIL is designed to lower the cost of the printer hardware and shift all the processing normally done on the printer onto the host computer, and hence, it requires a direct USB connection, it will not work directly over the network.
The only way to share the HP 5610 is to connect it directly to a host computer and use the printer sharing function within the OS.

Why can't i add events to calendars shared with me?

After i updated my MacBook Pro, i could not add events to the calendars shared with me. When i try to put an event in another calendar, it is not there.. I have the same problem on my iMac.

I was able to fix this problem with the information I found on the link pasted below. (I had two calendars, and the "default" calendar was not set to my iCloud calendar.)

Why does Photoshop not show PSD file image tile in 'Open File' when Facebook can?

When selecting a PSD file in Photoshop the image tile just says "PSD" so visually you cannot select it knowing which version it is. Why can't Photoshop show the image tile like Facebook can instead of having to use Bridge? Bridge is a huge memory hog and to have to jump back and forth is a pain. If I choose a file to upload to Facebook, I can see the standard file icons and also the PSD versions.
Any ideas or should this be a request in the next update?

That's happened a more than a couple of times where I spend 20 minutes carefully preparing a post and then find out some else got it.
Anyway, psd icons in the Explorer is a sure sign of the Windows OS. They could work with Adobe to render thumbnails, but seems something I'm not privy to in their internal policies prevents that.
Chris Cox did offer some insights. The OS vendors expect their rules to be followed, so if the OS does not respond properly, it's not Adobe's job to work around that. I do wonder how third party codec vendors do it. I'll have to ask.
Btw, John Ellis has a quicklook plugin for the Mac that renders PSB thumbnails should you be interested.
