Why can't I simply DOWNLOAD Firefox???

Your website is extremely user UNfriendly. I have to jump through hoops to find a download button. I'm going to download Google Chrome. This is rediculous!

Where have you been trying to download Firefox from?
There should normally be a green download button link on www.mozilla.com or if you prefer another OS or language then click on the Systems & Languages link which leads to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Even if there is no green download button (which can happen if JavaScript is disabled for example) there should still be text links in its place for Windows/Linux/Mac OSX.

Not a good idea.
What you could do, is have the Library content on the external hard drive and simply tell your iTunes programme to look on the hard drive for your music etc.. However, once you set that up, that hard drive needs to be connected and ready to read, before you start the iTunes programme. If it isn't ready, iTunes will simply go back to the default location for the music, find nothing and then you'll be back here saying that you've lost your Library.

If you didn't make a back-up of your music/movie purchases to restore from (as you are advised to do) then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Products may only be downloaded once; after being downloaded, they cannot be replaced if lost for any reason. What country are you in ? Re-downloading music isn't currently possible in all countries (the record companies need to agree to it for each country). If you are in a country where music can be re-downloaded, then if the tracks are still in the store then they should show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. If I click stop, why can't I simply re-start the track?

I got to say I can't get on with the new version of iTunes. And I normally embrace change but this is not better in any way whatsoever.
Most frustrating is when I'm playing a track, If I click stop, why can't I simply re-start the track? It doesn't comu up with an option to pause the track...
Also, when I click on an track that sits on my desktop, why doesn't iTunes autoatically default to show the music folder and the actual track thats showing....

iTunes does allow you to pause and restart a track as long as you don't change the source. If you do that you only get the stop option.
If I remember correctly iTunes has always done this, you are not the first person tp find this annoying.
If you would like to suggest improvements to iTunes, use the "Provide iTunes feedback" option on teh iTunes help menu. We are all just users here so it is unlikely that anyone from Apple will read your post.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Why can't I update to Firefox 4.0.1?

I get notices that I need to update Firefox to Version 4.0.1 and when I do it goes through the process of restarting Firefox and when I hit the next button it starts looking for the update server. I leave my desk for an hour and come back and it is still looking for the update server. So, I try to go to Mozilla.com and install the Firefox 4.0.1, I get a black screen at the top it says "Mozilla Firefox is not responding." I have been having several problems with Firefox for about 3 months now and when the update came along I thought it would solve the problem. I went to Google Chrome to try and install it that way. They are telling me that "This type of file can harm you computer. Are you sure you want to download Firefox....p 4.0.1.exe?" I don't know if this is because they are a competitor or not though. Please help!

If your computer is looking for a server, it sounds like you might have a problem with your Internet connection.
Chrome is probably trying to warn because .exe files can contain viruses. Chances are, if you're connected to mozilla.com and have https: (a secure connection), you don't have to worry about getting software with viruses or other malware.
Is your account on your computer an administrator account? Are you able to install other programs without limitation? If not, you might not have administrative privileges, which will make it hard to install things. You can download things, that doesn't require admin privileges, but altering the computer's operation by changing programs requires such privileges. If you do have admin privileges, I don't know what could be causing your problem.
Don't know if I've helped you or not, hopefully someone else knows specifically to what you refer and can answer, if my suggestions didn't do anything to help

Why can't I log-in to Firefox Accounts to set up Sync from my laptop PC? FF30+ keeps telling me to Please enable cookies; cookies ARE enabled, and I already tried Safe Mode. This has been happening ever since the new Sync was implemented, so I'm guessing around FF 30. I am now up to FF version 34 and it still isn't working. I have not been able to sync since the "update."
Problem #1: Going to about:accounts and clicking on the blue Get Started button opens a blank screen. There isn't even a prompt about cookies. It's just blank. Screen shot attached.
This is before add-ons are disabled. If they're disabled in Safe Mode, we go to Problem #2.
Problem #2: I skimmed a thread (https://github.com/mozilla/fxa-content-server/issues/1017) and tried logging in to Sync through accounts.mozilla.com instead, but though the screen doesn't turn blank while add-ons are still enabled, the "Enable cookies" warning is as far as I can get. Going to about:accounts in Safe Mode has the same result. I have cleared all my cookies and my cache, restarted FF multiple times with and without add-ons enabled, and still nothing. I have browsed this support forum for similar questions, and while other people are having the same issue, none of the other threads have been resolved yet. I know where Firefox's cookie manager is located, and I have toggled all the settings. I even allowed third-party cookies (though I really shouldn't since they're pointless). No difference. Screen shot attached.

I'm at the end of my rope here, guys. It's been months. A year. Maybe more than a year; I don't even know anymore. I just got a new device and I don't want to add all my Firefox information to it one-by-one. There doesn't seem to be any way to contact Mozilla directly, so.... Someone help, please....

Thank you for replying. Unfortunately, I already did all of these things. As you can see from the below screenshot, the language is already set. Also, this screenshot was taken in Safe Mode, so NoScript is not enabled. About:accounts still says I need to enable cookies for some reason. So, this solution didn't work....

You could try the following and see if they then download :
- log out of your account by tapping on your id at the bottom of the Music tab in the iTunes Store app and then log back in
- disconnect and reconnect to your network (Settings > Wi-Fi)
- close the iTunes Store app via the iPad's taskbar and then re-open it
- soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
