I get disconnected when I try to read my mail. I didn't sign on from another computer or device. I need to keep chat open and I don't know how to do it.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Your above posted system details show multiple Java Console extensions.<br />
You can uninstall (remove) the Java Console extensions and disable the Java Quick Starter extension, you do not need them to run Java applets.

When the prompt pops up next time you start iPhoto select Learn more. Then click on iPhoto preferences and select the Accounts tab. Delete your MM account and the quit iPhoto. Next time you open iPhoto the problem should be eliminated.

TS1717 Why can I not start Itunes? I keep getting a message that it stopped working/was stopped because of DEP, and I can't get DEP off to launch itunes.

I have Itunes installed on my PC, but now I can no longer open it. If I open it, I get the same message each time: Itunes has stopped working, a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. As soon as I close that message by clicking on "Close Program" which is my only option, I get a second message stating that to help protect my computer, Data Execution Prevention has closed Itunes. So I read up on help section and attempted to turn off DEP for Itunes, but I get the message that I cannot turn it off for this program. I attempted to repair, uninstall, reinstall Itunes and I keep getting the same message. I also logged in as a guest on my computer as a site suggested and see if the problem exists there as well, it does, it gives me the same message. Please help!

Set up iMovie Theater and iCloud
In order to take full advantage of the capabilities of iMovie Theater, you must be signed in to iCloud. If you are signed in to iCloud, movies and trailers shared to iMovie Theater are automatically uploaded to iCloud. You can also turn off automatic uploading, and upload just the movies and trailers you want, or delete individual movies and trailers from iCloud. in Safari’s Preferences, select its Security tab, and make sure that its “Internet plug-ins: Allow Plug-ins” checkbox is checked.

I can't log into iMessage; I get the message "Unable to verify email because it is already in use".

I've found the answer to this (at least for me)!
The problem is I have 2 AppleIDs. One from before MobileMe which I use to make iTunes purchases (which is linked to my @me.com email) and the second is my MobileMe email address used for MobileMe syncing.
Each AppleID has to be linked to a separate email address. Because my iTunes Apple ID is linked and verified to my @me.com address. My @me.com AppleID address can't be verified.....quite confusing at first but starts to make sense once you get your head around it!

Are you using the standard emoji keyboard on the iPhone, or are you using some type of 3rd party application? Are the receivers of your message iPhone users? If they are not, it could be their phone cannot decode and display the emoji from the phone.

Uploaded softwear on phone last night, now my computer cannot restore the phone and update. about 5min into it, i get the message that iphone has not been restored even though that is the button i clicked on.

I upgraded my iphone last night on the phone, today I cannot get the computer and the phone to work together. When I click restore iPhone, and my only choice is to restore and upgrade, when it starts the upgrade, it says the phone has not been restored. I did just upgrade the itunes on the computer also.

This may not solve your problem but may clear up a couple of things.
1: Re the connected to wi-fi, plugged in and locked thing is for automatic backups. It doesn't need to be plugged in or locked for it to work when you go to Settings > iCloud > Backup and tap Back Up Now. Mine completes the backup quickly without being plugged in or locking (but I don't have a lot to backup).
2: Locked just means the lock screen is on (press the sleep/wake button on top) -- it will work without a passcode (& again, the lock screen on is only required for the automatic backup).
3: You can see what is using your storage and maybe reduce some of it so that you don't have to pay for storage. Instructions in Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support

Why Firefox5 is very, very slow in responding, keep getting the message Firefox not responding

It is very slow when opening e-mails -- say" connecting" and stays at that point for 3-4 min. and then say Firefox not responding.
This happens when I open some websites too why? How do I correct it.

Two things I've tried that seemed to help.
Disabled all Java Console Add-ons. I had 14 in Win 7 and 21 in XP SR3
I use Vipre as my Anti-Virus. When it was in the Active Protection mode it appeared that it had to clear every html subfile for a site before it would open the page. On complex Web Pages like a news site this could take a looong time. Noticeable improvement after disabling Active Protection in Vipre

Hmm... I've been reading a lot of posts today about users who can't access their icloud stored pages documents. I'm beginning to suspect Apple may have a server issue wrt Pages documents.
If you have created the pages doc on a mac and saved it to icloud, then there's a copy of the file in your ~/Library/Mobile Documents folder.

I can't transfer files to my iPad and get the message that the iMac is not authorised yet when I go to authorise the store says the computer is already authorised - any ideas?

I go on the internet, the web site works, but then maybe when I try to go to another web site I get a message saying that Firefox is already running, but not responding and I need to close it or restart my computer. I do not know where to go to close that site so have to restart the computer!

So I reset my Apple ID password. Which then stopped my MobileMe account from working. Hang on - these were 2 different accounts a while ago, with different passwords!!!
So I have logged back in to MobileMe with my AppleID, and that's working again. After a short wait I can now create Home Sharing again.
Folks, I think we have just had our Apple IDs merged with our MobileMe accounts!! With no consultation or warning.
My guess is that this is the most seamless way for Apple to do it, as the vast majority of people use only one email address and one password for everything. Only those of us who had the same email adress but different a different passwords for MobileMe and Apple ID will have noticed. Annoying for us few, but a clever strategy on Apple's part, becasue we have been driven to fix the issue ourselves by chaning the password, and in doing so we have realised that our mobileme account is now the same thing as our Apple ID.
