Why can't I switch to Canadian English on Pages?

Hi guys,
I'm having a hard time getting Pages to accept Canadian spelling. I've already Clicked to "View" Then "Show Inspector" Then "More" Then selected "Canadian English" in the toolbar.
However, even with the toolbar open, the moment I click on my pages document. It reverts from "Canadian English" to "English"
I've even reset the system languages to "Canadian English"
Not sure what to do here...There isn't a save option on the toolbar.

You set your preferred default language in System Settings. Drag Canadian English to the top of the list.
The Pages language setting is only for selected text. It is not a magic wand you wave over your document. It is for varying the spell checking for different parts of the text.

Thank you, but I still haven't solved my problem. I tried the reset suggestion. But I cannot find print.print_printer preference. Maybe the word "printer" is to be replaced with the name of my printer. But because of the warning that making any changes is a very dangerous thing to do, I hesitated to do anything.
I have located the Print to file option, but it is not checked.
This problem did not exist before the Firefox update of about 6 months ago. Today I downloaded the latest Firefox update, hoping that would solve my problem, but it did not.

What is the file extension?
How did you Export the Word file?
Where are you having the problem? On Mac or PC?

Why can I not open some previous documents in Pages?

Help! I can not open previous documents in pages. It is instructing me to download the latest, when I do try, it tells me the most current has been installed? I still can not open the documents?

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

I have multiple itunes libraries. why can't i switch between them (i can see them in the dialog box but they are not select-able)?

i have a numbe of libraries; i have never had any problems switching between them. now, when i press alt button and click through to 'choose library...', i am seeing all of my libraries in the dialog box but they are 'greyed' out and i cannot select them.
any help would be appreciated.

You can see which dictionary is selected if you right-click in a text area and open the Languages submenu.

Why can't I switch to a guest account?

Hi guys!
So, my girlfriend recently let someone borrow her computer, so she needs to use mine. I have a long and complicated password (good for me) that she can't remember, so I thought it would be easiest if she just logged in to the Guest account on my computer. I set it up, and enabled fast user switching, but for some reason whenever I try to switch users (whether through the menu bar menu or through the login dialog that appears after my computer has gone to sleep), it goes to the login screen (good), and I click on guest (good) and then it does the little shaking thing that it does if you, say, enter the wrong password (bad). Since there is no password for the guest account, I don't know what I'm doing wrong! How can I fix this? Happy to give whatever other information you need.

Or you can simply create another user account with a password for your girlfriend.

Video recording - why can't I switch cams like face time?

I do interviews and video blogs and I would like to be able to setup a clip with the camera facing me and then switch to camera on back to let subject speak. If you can do it with face time, PLEASE put in a fix so I can do it while recording.
I would really like the option to switch back and forth between cameras while recording video (like face time).
Also, is there no way to upload HD videos from the phone after editing in iMovie?

You know, if something is not working for you, doesn't mean that that's the way it's done. Also, Google is amazing.
Video recording DOES work with the front and back camera.
If yours does not, restart your phone, restore as new, or go to an Apple store.
Also, at the present moment, the iPhone does NOT support uploading directly in HD. The only current way is to put it on your computer and upload it from there.

Why can't I install the British English Dictionary?

I get the message "British English Dictionary could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 4.0".
I'm trying to install the most recent version, Version 1.19.1, dated December 5, 2010, and supposed to work with Firefox 2.0b1 - 4.0.*.
The Release Notes state "This release updates the installer for compatibility with the new extension packaging format in Firefox 4 ".
But still it won't install and I'm stuck with the US dictionary. Anyone got any idea why?

Why can't I switch windows in the Window menu?

I just upgraded to Firefox 34 on my Powerbook (OSX 10.6.8). All of the sudden, the Window menu won't allow me to switch between Firefox windows; underneath the rule under Zoom, there's nothing there, even though I have multiple Firefox windows open. This is extremely inconvenient. Is this a new problem with 34, or...?

Alright why oh why can't I switch between iTunes details and mini player?

Ok I like the new format, separation of the iTunes store makes it a great media player. However the with the new iTunes application what Neanderthal decided not to use the green button to switch between listing and viewing and the mini player, instead it's a trip to the keyboard OR stupidly switching between a big screen layout and a not so big layout,... useless!
I use itunes as follows open application select music, settings and then set to mini player and get on with what I'm doing, at least let us choose the behaviour it has when clicking the green button,... please,...

The only fix at the moment is to hold the option key when clicking the green button.
