Why can't I sync all my music on my iphone

Help, I've recently bought an iphone and plugged it into my Vaio to download all the music from my itunes library which I set up for my ipod, however when I syn entire library it will only syn half the albums, all software is up to date. Why?

Sorry diesel vdub, I have never been on a site like this before and an relatively techno illiterate, however I have no sync errors and have downloaded all the latest updates. I have a 16gb ipod and have only got 99 albums which totals 7gb with no photos, apps or other, so in theory there is plenty of space, when I click on the ipod app on the phone it only shows me the albums listed from G in the alphabet to Z. Before you restored it, did you check that box on the sync screen that downconverts the songs to a slower bitrate? That's the only thing that I can think of other than you adding more of other things (apps, pictures, videos, etc.) this time around but not the last time

Itune do not sync all my music on my iPhone 4

I Sync all my music library on my iPhone4 and iPad. iTunes tell me that I have 2195 songs to Sync. On my iPad, all the songs is their.
But on my iPhone, he only Sync 2046 songs (the size used on my iPad versus my iPhone confirm that I have song missing 0.7 GB missing).
I still have 4.8 GB Free on my iPhone, this is not a memory problem.
I have removed all my music on my iPhone, and he is syncing the same amount of music.
If is their a reason that the iPhone will Sync less song?

Got my Iphone. Already had itunes and was able to figure out how to put my music on. Got a new laptop with Windows 8. Downloaded itunes and authorized this new computer. Imported a cd to the library, then couldn't sync the new songs from the cd. Somehow started a sync, then boom all the music was gone from the iphone. Maybe I hit a restore button? Don't have a clue what I am doing, now I have managed to get only the imported songs from the library onto the iphone, but none of the others. Everytime I plug it into my laptop, my photo stream asks if I want to download all my pics, that are already downloaded, and doesn't open itunes. Help. I am getting fed up and cant even figure out how to download the user manuals on any of this stuff!

Why can't I sync my iTunes music from my computer to my 4s iPhone?

After both of the newest upgrades, I'm having trouble syncing my music from my computer's iTunes onto my 4s iPhone. After experimenting, somehow I managed to delete a couple playlists off of my phone (which when I plugged in to sync, it deleted the playlists from my library...very annoying, now I have to sort all of my music into playlists again).
I have always synced what was on my computer to my phone. Why is what I'm doing on my phone changing what's on my computer's iTunes? And why won't any of my new music sync onto my phone?
Any suggestions or help is much appreciated, thanks!!

Spoke with Apple support on this issue. After deleting all music and playlists from the phone, unchecking ALL boxes within Music tab on phone, and syncing, music was removed from phone. Then went back and checked sync music/selected playlists/the playlists I wanted on the phone, and it successfully synced those playlists. I did lose the purchased playlist on the phone, which I like because it's my newest music, but that is easily fixed by making a smart playlist of recent purchases and adding it to the sync.

It starts out normal as if it's syncing properly and then reverts back. Stating its complete however half of my music is not synced and it says I have all the space available

I had similar problem. Found an answer and it worked fine. First, connect your 4s to your Mac and iTunes. Go to device, music and deselect Sync Music at very top. Then, go to Summary and Sync the 4s. Note that when finished all your music will be gone off the 4s. disconnect the iPhone from the computer and do a Hard Shutdown or reboot/reset. You do this by:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.
Reconnect to the computer and iTunes. Go to device, music, and check Sync Music. Then select Sync on the summary page. When finished all my songs and playlists were back on the iPhone the way they should be. Good luck.

Why can't I see ALL my music that's on my iphone in itunes? I can only see things I recently added.

I have hundreds of songs in my phone but I can only see a small fraction of what's on my phone when it's plugged into my computer and I'm looking in itunes. It looks like all it's showing are things that I added recently.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Where are you looking that you aren’t seeing your music? When you have your device plugged in and selected in iTunes, a sidebar shows up. In this sidebar, “On My Device” includes all of the content types that are currently synced to your device. If you click on Music, do you see the expected amount of content?

I have a first generation apple tv with a 160 gig hard drive. i bought it specifically as a storage for itunes. I used to be able to sync, now i can only stream? help?

You are able to sync purchased content from your iDevice to a new computer as long as the comptuer is authorized
To authorize the computer follow these steps
At the topi of the screen next to File- Edit -View, click store then Authorize this computer.
Enter in your appleID email address and password and click authorize
**If you do not see the File Edit View option, At the very top left corner you should see a little square click the square and click show menu bar.
Now that your computer is authorized click the file menu button, then click Devices, then go to your iPhones name and then click Transfer purchases this will allow you to transfer all of your purchased content to the computer
Now if you want to transfer your non purchased content to the computer you can do so if you have wif and the previous computer on the same network as the new computer with home sharing

Why can i not sync my Ipod music?

I purchased songs on my Ipod touch, but when i tried to sync it to my computer, it got rid of my songs (over 100) that i got from the itunes app. The app wont let me re-download the songs without paying for them agian. What is going on??

iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod

I moved my iTunes folder to an external hard drive, now itunes wants to sync all of music to my iPhone twice.

I copied my whole itunes folder to an external drive as id run out of space on my PC. I then changed the location of the folder on iTunes through preferances, but it gave me a warning which i just pressed no/cancel to without reading it, but i didnt realise that then it had not saved the new folder location. When i deleted the original folder, everything dissapeared from itunes meaning i had to reload everything from the new, moved, itunes folder. This wasnt a problem, except it had lost all memory of playlists and play counts etc. But now, when i try and sync my phone, it tells me there is not enough space on the phone as it must be trying to add all of the music from itunes to the phone as well as what is already on the phone.
Is there a way to upload everything from the phone to itunes, including play counts and playlists?
if not....
How do i just sync my phone to itunes without having to reset the phone and losing photographs, and without itunes trying to add everything twice?
Last question, why do Apple want to make this so difficult for me? What is wrong with plane old 'click and drag'??

Close iTunes. Click the icon to start it, then press and hold down the left shift key. Keep holding until asked to choose or create a library. Choose the iTunes folder on your external drive. That should bring back all your playlists, ratings, play counts etc. You may have to settle for removing and reloading the media onto the device again. That's not too bad, but what you don't want to have happen is your apps being removed and reloaded as then you can lose settings and data. If that looks likely backup and then restore the device rather than sync it.
If for some reason rebuilding the library the way you did has moved files around then the restored library may have trouble finding things. If so post back and I'll explain what to do...
