Why Can't I Sync Firefox with Device from 4 Months Ago
The last time I sync'd my Firefox bookmarks was 4 months ago. There were A LOT of bookmarks, and I'm trying to get them back, but when I sync, it does not restore my bookmarks. Why aren't they syncing?
The Sync Key isn't used in Firefox 29+ versions.

How can i pull up my browsing history from a month ago?
I recently purchased a pair of Oakley sunglasses off of a website around September 12, 2011. The invoice never came through my email, and I have not received them yet! I can't remember the name of the site which is just awful. I tried doing the steps in the forums, but I have been unable to bring up my browser history. Nothing is showing up there just the history for today! And I know that is wasn't bookmarked, so no luck there either. Is there anything else I can try? Thanks for your help.
You probably have firefox set to only remember history for one day.
# At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options.

As to getting your history back from a month ago, I do not think you can find that unless your network administrator keeps a log of all network activity -
Why can't I sync songs with my iPod touch on iTunes
I have recently gotten a new computer, so my ipod has to sync with it blah blah blah. So I synced it with my new computer. It seemed that all my music was there until I played my music. Most songs play like normal, but some songs appear as they are going to play but immediately skip to the next song. Confused, I synced it again. This time it completely took the songs off of my iPod. I checked in my library on the computer, and my songs are still on the computer. Relieved, I tried to put the songs back onto my iPod. With the new update, I click and drag. When I drag, It gives my the option of my iPod and my four playlists. It will let me add songs to playlists, but it will not let me put them onto my iPod nor let me add a playlist to my iPod.
What happens when y swipte a song left or figt? A delete button should appear. Just tap it.

Why can't I sync my iTunes Library from my second laptop to my iPod?
I just synced my iPod to my iTunes library on my OLD laptop and then used Home Sharing to import that content to my new laptop.
Then, I tried syncing my iTunes Library from my new laptop to my iPod and it said " This will delete all old music, videos & movies from your iPod and replace it with your iTunes Library" wich is exactly what I wanna do! So I clicked continue and it started syncing...
During the middle of the process a pop up appears and says " Your iTunes LIbrary cannot be synced to your iPod because there is not enough room on your iPod (additionaly 2.33GB required) "
But I thought it would erase my songs from my ipod ( approximately 2.40GBs) and replace it with the new ones from my library (2.33GB) ???? Why didn't it? What can I do to have my iTunes Library from my new laptop to my iPod Touch?
( I want my iPod to be able to sync anytime to my new computer because I'm getting rid of the old one.)
Please help, thanks.So I copied everything in the iTunes folder from my old computer
and sent it to an 8GB USB,
which I'll insert into my new computer and paste the files on to /Music/

Why can't I sync my iTunes music from my computer to my 4s iPhone?
After both of the newest upgrades, I'm having trouble syncing my music from my computer's iTunes onto my 4s iPhone. After experimenting, somehow I managed to delete a couple playlists off of my phone (which when I plugged in to sync, it deleted the playlists from my library...very annoying, now I have to sort all of my music into playlists again).
I have always synced what was on my computer to my phone. Why is what I'm doing on my phone changing what's on my computer's iTunes? And why won't any of my new music sync onto my phone?
Any suggestions or help is much appreciated, thanks!!Spoke with Apple support on this issue. After deleting all music and playlists from the phone, unchecking ALL boxes within Music tab on phone, and syncing, music was removed from phone. Then went back and checked sync music/selected playlists/the playlists I wanted on the phone, and it successfully synced those playlists. I did lose the purchased playlist on the phone, which I like because it's my newest music, but that is easily fixed by making a smart playlist of recent purchases and adding it to the sync.

Why does ma older apple laptop cancel Safari when I a m watching videos online? Also,I used to be able to run Firefox but now message states "can't use with this operating system"?
You can't use Firefox, because your operating system, OS X, is a version 10.4 or earlier.
Firefox "upgraded" its Mac compatible version, so that it will only operate with OS 10.6 or later.
Your Safari also might quit, because it too has an upgraded version with greater stability geared toward 10.4 and later. Perhaps you are using system 10.3 or earlier.
It is also possible that Safari quits, because the video sites you watch have changed to be compatible with newer browser versions with later Flash Player compatibility, like Adobe.
It is difficult to find browser compatibility or stability for earlier than 10.4.
What the above post is showing is in the drop down menu in the upper left of your screen. Click on the blue Apple for its drop down menu. Click on the first in the list, About This Mac. That's where you'll see the version as shown in the previous post.
If you upgraded your Safari, even that could be a problem, because it might not work as well with your older operating system. I haven't tried the following link, but it offers the Safari versions that fit each system. You can try downloading the one that matches yours. If that doesn't work, you can always upgrade again.

Why can´t I sync fotos with their previous version in lightroom after doing editations in Photoshop?

- I have a RAW-foto in Lightroom, that I already edited with lightroom tools (Clarity, colour, whitebalance etc.)
- I have to edit some things in Photoshop, so I rightclick and choose "Edit in photoshop) (CTRL+E)
- A version without my lightroom editations openes in photoshop, I do my editations there
- I save the pic in photoshop, and it is imported to my lightroom catalogue as a PSD file, being stacked with the original. - so far so good, now the problem:
- if I select the new and the original version (RAW+PSD file) and try syncing my lightroom editations to the PSD file, the colour changes completely, and there are even some spot removals going through the face of the model, that DO NOT EXIST in the original photo that I´m syncing from!!! WHY!?!?!? I really dont get it..

Thank you for your appreciated helpTThe sync process you're describing is not how it should work. When you edit in Photoshop with Ctrl-E, Lightroom, should pass the raw file plus the XMP data for your edits over to Photoshop. Photoshop uses its Camera Raw engine to render those changes and you should see a background layer that has all your edits included.
the fact that you're not seeing the edits in Photoshop makes me suspicious that you have an older version of Photoshop (with an older Camera Raw). What version of LR and PS are you using? If you're using an older Photoshop, here,s what to do:
Normally, you'd see a warning dialog box that would give you the option to "Render in Lightrom," but you may have turned this off. To reset, go to Edit > Preferences > General, and choose the button to "Reset all Warning Dialogs."
Once you do that, opening in an older version of Photoshop will trigger a warning that will allow you the choice to "open anyway," or "render in Lightroom." You should choose to render in Lightroom.

Why can't I sync my iTunes library from my MacBook Pro to my iPad Mini?
I have just updated my MacBook Pro with the latest iTunes, something I swore I would never do. But I had to do it in order to sync my iTunes library with my new iPad Mini. Unfortunately, after waiting 23 minutes for the software update, I STILL can't sync my music! The only songs I can see on my iPad Mini are songs I've purchased from the iTunes Store...all two of them. The remaining hundreds of songs simply don't show up. C'mon Apple, the reason I use a Mac platform is because it just always works, unlike MicroSucks. Is this what we can expect in a post-Jobs world...?

Click on your ipad in the upper right- this takes you to your summary page.
click on music tab at the top.
UNcheck all music and apply/sync.
When that is done, REcheck everything, and sync again. This usually works. -

Remember any restoring of bookmarks overwrites whatever he current set is, and you may not want to loose them.
Even if up until now you have not made any backups of Desktop bookmarks Firefox will have backed up some of them into sets of daily bookmark backups. Once you have backed up your current set you could look at what it has by restoring those bookmarks, you may find one of those sets is fairly complete.
By the way if you look at the profile files and folders that you should now have on the desktop you should see it contains a bookmarks backup folder, the size of the files within should indicate whether they contain anything.
You need to go into the bookmarks library and try the restore option. Backup each set that you look at if it has anything of use in it, before trying the next set. With look one of those will be a fairly complete set of bookmarks.

I do not use Firefox on mobiles, but before you try anything further you do need to backup the desktop bookmarks and learn what existing backups you have. Unless you master that you are in continual danger of overwriting and loosing bookmarks.

Why can't I sync my iPad to pc, it says this iPad cannot be used because the Apple mobile device service is not stated, the last time they were synced was December and I had no problem.
Log in as an Admin User on your PC. Type 'Services' in the search area above when you click on start. (or see control panel and select Admistrative Tools.)
Select the Services shortcut. In the window that appears with your listed service, navigate to ipod service, Apple Mobile Device service, and, Bonjour Services. Doubleclick them to get the property page. Change startup to automatic, click apply. Then click start,
There is a known issue that when iTunes updates it incorrectly sets the Service startup type - this is normally due to installations on Vista and win7 services and drivers that run in the Local Sstem requiring Admin account permissions that are not always granted with User Account Elevation, when running installations or updates in User account.
Normally the Local System is set to inherit the User account permission token when being set up - but Apple in their infinite wisdom have a higher token in place for their services. so a standard user cannot derogate the required elevation, even with the UAC to admin prompt, since the local system is owned by the Machine account and only Admin, bBackup, Restore, Machine, operator accounts carry the same descriptor permissions on process ownership to set these services correctly.
Third party security programs, such as Kaspersky can also limit installations by User account installations, which adds to the problem. I have had a few installations fail, even in Admin mode - because Kaspersky sits on par with the Main Machine Administrator account for watching program and installation directories and registry keys - (which have higher privilege levels in some respects than the ordinary Admin account you normally start a new machine in before you add any other user accounts- all very confusing - but that's Microsoft all over for you.
Follow Ralph's advice if you do not have the necessary software already installed. You should install Apple's Application Management Software - which will look after the installation of all required elements for you and notify you of updates pending. In options have it set to Notify only - not all updates may be requred, and this option allows you to see what is being installed. It is good practice to set all updating software to Notify only - especially any thirdparty software - much of which carry all sorts of little 'extra's' you may not need or want.
It is also good practice to keep an eye on your Program and Features option in control panel, just to see what is being installed and when - including Windows updates.
Sorry about the long reply, but with December being your last sync - a lot can change in the meantime. Best be prepared.

I can not install the firefox for android from the android market. It is showing me that the app is incompatible with my device and no other information is provided. I am not sure whats the problem with that ! Is it incompatible with the device or the android version ?
