Why can't i sync videos to my ipod touch

hi everytime i connect my ipod and drag videos nothing happens their all mp4 format

I would try placing the movies in the iTunes movie library and then using the Create iPod and iPhone Version in the advanced tab of iTunes. It is likely that the format is not compatible with the iPod. There are many variations in the mp4 format and all are not compatible the iPod.

The 1G can only go to iOS 3.1.3 that you get here.

Most songs play like normal, but some songs appear as they are going to play but immediately skip to the next song. Confused, I synced it again. This time it completely took the songs off of my iPod. I checked in my library on the computer, and my songs are still on the computer. Relieved, I tried to put the songs back onto my iPod. With the new update, I click and drag. When I drag, It gives my the option of my iPod and my four playlists. It will let me add songs to playlists, but it will not let me put them onto my iPod nor let me add a playlist to my iPod.

What happens when y swipte a song left or figt? A delete button should appear. Just tap it.

If it's already in iTunes, you can reconver the video to an even more friendly iTunes format using iTunes' built in converter. Highlight the video in iTunes and choose Advanced -> Create iPod or iPhone version from the menu bar.
When the video(s) has/have finished converting, configure them to sync to your iPod.

I do not want to have to go through an intermediary step of messing with a pc.

It should be around 7 and a half gigs. In iTunes, across the bottom there should be a bar that show how much storage is being used and by what. (music, movies, apps, etc.) To make music take up less room, you can check the box to make it convert the music to 128kbps AAC. This lowers the quality, but with most earbuds and speakers, you can't even tell the difference.
The iPod touch has parental controls built in. You'll find them in Settings. I think they only work for enabling/disabling Safari, Mail, YouTube, and App Store. Here's an app that does more: http://www.mobicip.com/online_safety/ipod_touch

So, the only way to watch home video in ipod touch is via itunes? Because in fact i'm trying to use my ipod touch as a video monitor for my DSLR camera while i use it for filming. I thought i could use the hdmi adapter for ipod touch, but everyone tells me that it might not be possible, so i wont buy it without knowing if it is possible or not. I wonder if it is phisicaly possible, so all we would need for that is someone to develop a softare to use the hdmi adapter to watch a video into an ipod. I'm working in West Africa, and iTunes says it will take between 8 and 11 hours to download the OS (5.0.1). But I never have that long a stretch of uninterrupted electricity or internet. Every blink off and I have to start again at zero. Bit torrents are already an old technology. What gives? Basically, I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO UPDATE MY IPOD. And probably not my macbook.

The videos downloaded from itunes work, but I bought the apple tv so i could watch my personal videos made with the ipod touch 4g, 1 out of 10 tries it works after exiting the camera and going back in but it only allows one video to be watched.

LOL OK for some odd reason now I can't access my videos made with ipod touch 4g through the photos icon. The "Albums" title sits on top of the "camera roll" folder making it impossible to touch and access it. Anyone else have this problem? I think I will just return my apple tv 2, it's just been frustrating.

I have the 3rd Generation iPod Nano. I've had it for a little over a year, so I'm very familar with how to work it, etc. I've been trying to days now, to add more music to my iPod, but, for some reason, I'm unable to. I'll connect my iPod through the USB Port and my iPod screen will stay stuck on, "Connected. Eject before disconnecting." I've gone under "File" to see if I can click on, "Sync *My name*'s iPod", but that option isn't given. I'll click on "My Devices", and I'll click on "Sync", but it won't sync. I've gone onto the Apple website and I've tried the "5 Steps of Troubleshooting" numerous times, and nothing's working. I have no idea what's wrong with it. What could be wrong with it?

Sure you don't have the iPod set to manage the music manually?
You can check by going to the 'summary' page and you will see the option to:
"manually manage music". Is that selected?
If you want to auto sync your music etc, you need to click on the 'music' tab, where you will see the option to:
"sync music" with either "all songs and playlists" or "selected playlists".

There is no “Include full-resolution photos.” only an "Include videos"
Instructions say to "Click Apply." There is no "Apply."
I check "Sync Photos From" and select the album I want to sync.
I click on "Sync Photos From" and get the message:
"iTunes will no longer sync photos to the iPod “iPod touch”. Would you like iTunes to remove photos previously copied to your iPod?"
