Why can't I type onto *PDF

Question

Hello, I have some paperwork the is in the *PDF format,
although I am able to click my cursor on a line, no typing will
show up. Is there someway of converting this so I can type on it or
will I have to utilize my old-fashioned typewriter? Thanks.

Hi BFife,
I am certainly not an Acrobat Expert, they would be more
found in the Acrobat forums, linked in my previous post.
However, you should be able to do what you're wanting with
most any of the full versions of Acrobat.
And maybe even with some forms, can be done with reader.
You could get pro, but it may be a bit overkill in your
circumstance.
I would perhaps look into downloading the free trial of
Acrobat Standard, if you'd like. That will give you the full
un-limited software for 30 days, which will give you the option to
fill out the applications and print, and really do what you're
wanting to do with your PDF file.
Thanks for the response! Let me know if you have more
questions, but if they're deeply relating mostly to Acrobat desktop
software (rather than acrobat.com), you'd really be best off asking
in the Acrobat forums, for the best accuracy in an answer.
