WHY CAN'T I UNINSTALL MUSE?

My computer won't let me uninstall Muse.  All I get in an UNINSTALL FAILED message and tells me to run CLeaner tool.  I've tried that but not luck either, HELP!

You should not install it again..
Boot the computer into safe mode and try the uninstall again.
No luck you will have to manually uninstall which is a pain. Delete the files and open regedit and delete the registry entries.. better still use the system restore to go back to a previous system where you had no 4.2 installed..
Or just ignore it and install the latest 5.6.1 and if it gives trouble well do a clean install of windows.

  • Why Can't Firefox Uninstall Itself Completely?

I use MZ components because I appreciate the options to closed apps such as Outlook, IE, etc. However, one thing that bugs the heck out of me is the inability to completely remove itself when so directed. If an app like Firefox knows how and where to install itself, why the heck can't it completely uninstall itself?
I recently completed a clean install of W7-64b on a new machine and added Firefox 10. Experiencing an issue, I uninstalled it (or so I thought). From that point on, new installs froze the system and produced random issues of lockup. Checking the registry I found remnants everywhere even after asking to completely remove personal files, history - whatever. Removing all the remnants and reinstalling fixed the problem.
Like I said above, if you know where you're publishing during the install, why can't you also make sure you go back and remove everything when directed?
As a workaround, at least publish a checklist for following up to make sure all registry entries and directories are removed.

  • Why can't I access Muse? It gives me an "unexpected error".

I've downloaded photoshop, illustrator, bridge, and edge easily with no troubles.  I just downloaded Muse and I tried to open it but it says I need to activate the program online before using.  So I click next and it tells me "an unexpected error occurred, please try again later."  I press retry and the loading squares come up...and it loads forever...nothing ever happens.  What the heck?!  Why is this happening?  Has anyone else had a similar problem?  I tried calling or chatting with customer service but they have a 30-45 minute wait!  Seriously, adobe?  It's not a good sign when you constantly have to help people with their service. Well, if anyone can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it!  I'm using windows 8 and connected through clear internet...maybe it's my internet? Idk.

Your should be able to close it from the system tray on bottom right of your screen.
You can also turn it off by launching the antivirus.

  • Why can't I uninstall itunes and reinstall it? It says; The feature I am trying to use is on a Network Resource that is unavailable.

Hi,  I can't uninstall the older version of itunes along with some of its componetnts in ADD/Remove programs in Control Panel. I would like to download a newer version of itunes but I keep getting a dialogue box which reads 'The feature you are trying to use is on a Network Resource that is unavailable. Any ideas how to resolve this?

It says Click Ok to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package itunes64.msi in the box below
    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Why can't I find Muse after installation?

I just purchased the cloud version of the Adobe software and installed Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Muse using the Adobe Application Manager. The first three seem to be installed and running. Muse, however is nowhere to be found - even though the Application Manager says it's installed. I even shutdown and re-started but it is not in my list of Applications or anywhere in a search.
    What's up?

    Fixed it.
I had to uninstall and re-install.

  • Why Can't I uninstall or repair Firefiox from Windows 7 control panel_ software uninstall, change ,repair

Firefox crashed and I have been unable to restart it. Sent Report by email to Firefox two weeks ago no response. At this point I want to uninstall first and then new install.

Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit Windows?
If you're running 32-bit Windows then you can probably ignore that step safely.
If 64-bit you could try creating the missing entry and give it the correct value.

  • Why can't I uninstall 11.0.05?

    Using Windows 7.

The image you posted is too little to read the error message, and I wouldn't know the "why" anyway. But you can try using this tool to remove all traces of previous versions of Reader:

  • Why can't I uninstall programs using CCleaner?

When I try to uninstall a program using CCleaner I get this message "You do not have privileges to perform this operation". I am the only user on this computer.

With ccleaner in particular or in general?
Very basically and generally you can, at the minimum, trash the application, prefPane, or whatever it is you want to uninstall.  But you should be aware of some other details:
    1. Apps may install login items or other startup items.  Hopefully the ones the install other startup items will also supply their own uninstallers.  Use the third party uninstaller whenever possible if it is supplied.
    2.  Preferences are usually stored in ~/Library/Preferences generally as .plist files.  You could, if you can't identify the plist file just leave it alone.  If there is no program to use it the plist is just taking up space.
    3. Many apps also can create stuff in ~/Library/Application Support.  Like the preferences these to could be ignored.
    4. Like 2 and 3, some apps might use ~/Documents, ~/Movies, etc.
    5. Apps installed with .pkg or .mpkg installers usually will install their apps into /Applications.  But except for stupid authors who for some odd reason want to supply their apps with .pkg installers where it only installs a single application, .[m]pkg's will usually "spray" other stuff into your system into any of the places I mentioned previously but also may install into system level places if they request the admin password.  Hopefully these installers will also supply some kind of uninstaller, either installed as part of the installation or supplied separately.

  • Why can't I uninstall Firefox 12

I am running Windows 7. I suddenly cannot start Firefox 12. I thought If I uninstalled it and then started again it may work. When I tried to uninstall it it said that I had a running version of Firefox and it needed to be closed. I looked at Task Manager and Firefox is not running. Any suggestions?
    TIA

In the Task Manager, behind the Applications tab, there is a Processes tab. On that one, look for firefox.exe and plugin-container.exe. Any luck?
After that, you should be able to start Firefox normally without having to uninstall/reinstall. If you encounter similar hangs in the future, you could try using Firefox's Safe Mode to see whether Firefox works normally without add-ons.
You also can terminate any running instance of Firefox by restarting Windows. Afterwards, if Firefox starts running silently without you starting it, that could indicate a malware infection.
