Why can't i update any of my apps?

i use my parents Apple ID and it works for them but not for me. They changed the password and I put in the password to update and it stop after I submit the password. it goes back to update. I tried my own Apple ID and it still doesn't work.

    App purchases are permanently tied to the ID with which they were purchased. They cannot be transferred to a new ID.
    You will have to enter the password for that ID or delete the apps and re-purchase them with the new one.

    There are plenty of apps still compatible with iOS 4.2.1. Not a majority, necessarily, but they're still out there. If the app you want requires a newer version, find another app the accomplishes the same thing.
    Of course, it may be too late for that now, since you chose to hack/jailbreak your iPhone, and it is currently a brick. As varjak paw stated, this forum will not help you with your hacked phone.

    iTunes is built into ios and is only a link to the store to buy media, it is not like itunes on a pc and can not be updated outside of an IOS update.
    If you are receiving that error message it means itunes is experiencing server problems, your internet connection is experiencing problems or your firewall/antivirus junk is causing problems.

    I live in white rock but do travel to the states a lot. I've heard that if you have an American account you can buy apps from the us but have to log in back and forth to use them. But I only have one account and it's Canadian. Everything worked fine until recently I can no longer update apps I've been using since I bought my iPad. It always kicks me back and forth between us and Canadian stores but doesn't update anything. I've tried restarting and reloading, deleting and repurchasing. I haven't seen anybody else with this one! Please help!

    Subscribed to CC day before yesterday (paid). Can't use any of the apps except as "trial". Spoke with someone in customer service who assured me that things would be working by today.  I was told that I don't need to enter a serial number if I've paid for a subscription, and I don't have one anyway. Today applications still won't run. Anyone know what's wrong??

  • Why can't I update any of my installed apps?

    I have been having a real difficult time downloading the apps in the Creative Suite. I got lucky
    and got the Photoshop, Bridge, and Dreamweaver apps downloaded and installed, but now I cannot
    get those programs updated. Still, the same pop-up message I get is, "installation (or update) failed".
    Any suggestions?

  • Why can't I use any of my apps on a secondary computer?

    I never thought I'd have any issues with Adobe, however since purchasing a Creative Cloud Subscription a few days ago I'm having a licensing issue.
    On my first Windows PC, I downloaded and installed all Apps avaliable to me via Adobe Application Manager.
    Upon running my first app, I was able to click 'Sign In' and was sorted.
    However on my second Windows PC, also downloading and installing via the Manager, things got weird.
    I ran Photoshop for the first time, and clicked 'Sign In'.. Everything seemed fine.
    After restarting my computer, I tried to open Illustrator and recieved a window asking me to activate the product.
    Suddenly, every single application is now pretty much under a 30 day trial. Upon following these instructions via your Support Site - it didn't do anything. So, I followed these instructions to convert them from trials - however after signing in I don't get 'Congratulations'.. I get 'Serial Number'.
    What now? I would love to solve this issue before I can't use the software any more after 30 days for no reason.

    Did you already try to reset the iPad by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting, but it can clear some glitches.
