Why can't I use a Movers Coupon on a MacBook

I tried to buy a MacBook Pro at the Best Buy store in DeerPark (IL) but was told by a store associate that I could not use my movers coupon as the MacBook was already on sale. There is no mention of this exclusion in the coupon or BestBuy.com.
I have seen people successfully stack a student discount and the movers coupon on MacBooks that were already on sale, but my local store says it can't be done.
Can a Moderator here clarify the policy? As an Elie Plus member I would prefer to spend my money at Beat Buy, especially if I can use these coupons to offset the sales tax and get my final cost to what I would spend on Amazon without these hassles.

I’m sorry if this associate gave you incorrect information regarding our Movers Coupons. Movers Coupons can be used towards the purchase of a MacBook Pro that is on sale. You state this store is our store in DeerPark, IL, but I don’t see a store located in a town named DeerPark. Could the location of this Best Buy be in a different city?

Why can't I use mover's coupon on Macbook?

Hi,
Happy thanksgiving everyone, but my experience at Best Buy today was so disappointed.
I recently moved to new home and received a mover's coupon for Best Buy. I tried to buy a Macbook Air 13.3 at 8251 Gateway Overlook Dr, Elkridge, MD 21075. At checkout, I showed the associate the coupon and I was told I could not use it. He said Apple Macbooks are "Unlateral Minimum Resale Price (UMRP) products". I don't even know what UMRP means, but I thought ok, it's thanksgiving, there is no need to give anybody a hard time. Then I paid the full price for it which is 899.99. Then I went back and told a friend about the purchase. He was shocked I paid so much for it. He told me he WAS able to use the mover's coupon as well as student discounts on the exact same Macbook, and he paid $170 dollars less than I did. I went back to the store and talked to the customer service, I even showed them my friend's receipt. But the associates in the store kept telling me the UMRP non-sense. There is nowhere on the coupon saying Macbooks are excluded. After 30 mins talk, I still could not get the discount. And I felt so disappointed about Best Buy, especially at Thanksgiving eve.
I did some research online, and I found this post in this forum : http://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Best-Buy-Store-Purchase/Why-can-t-I-use-a-Movers-Coupon-on-a-MacBook/td.... Apparently, somebody else had the same problem and it was solved. Can any moderators here give me some help? At least give me an explaination that makes sense (Please, no more UMRP non-sense).

No pun intended, but it’s definitely disappointing to hear that you were unable to utilize the mover’s coupon on the MacBook Air you purchased. Based on what you are stating the store said, they may have been misinterpreting what qualified under the terms and conditions of the coupon. In this situation, I believe that the coupon should have been applied, but I would need to do some more research. If you could send me a private message with your full name as well as the Customer Service Pin from your purchase, I would be happy to look into this further.
You can generally find the Customer Service Pin near the middle of the receipt, where it should say “Your Customer Service Pin is” and underneath it will be four sets of numbers. You can send me a private message by logging into the forum and clicking on the button across from my name on this post.

Why can't I use any downloaded program on my Macbook?

It seems to be that I can't do anything when I open a downloaded program. That includes programs such as Adobe, Microsoft Office en even the smallest such as VLC Media Player. Programs that were already on the laptop such as Safari, Finder, Apple Mail, App Store are no problem. I can restart the computer and maybe it will work again but it is about a 1/10 chance.
I have a 15 inch Macbook Mid 2010 version 10.6.8. I have updated to Mavericks but it didn't help the situation (version 10.9)

Why can't I use iWork '08 in my new MacBook Pro

I have installed iWork '08, but no cursor shows up. Must I purchase a new iWork for my MacBook Pro? I really only need the word processor.

You can purchase just Pages using the Mac App Store for $19.99. There are also other word processors available for OS X. For example, Libre Office and Neo Office Aqua are free packages each similar to Office for OS X. These and others can be found at MacUpdate or CNET Downloads.

Why can't I use the touch pad on my MacBook Pro to zoom or shrink? Two finger pinch doesn't work.

My touchpad is set to do this but it works in OS X 7 the same as in snow leopard (with a couple of exceptions).

Yeah, that's what I ended up doing. It just wasn't worth the hassle. I got a good (standard size) monitor for about half the price of the old one, so I'm not too disappointed. Thanks for your help though

I bought an macbook pro retina display at the New Hampshire because there is no sales tax.
and I came back home Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
2 days after i came back to my home, i found an promotion event about e-gift cards.
so I exchange, I mean change payment methods using e-gift cards and movers coupon in-store, Oshkosh.
but I found new sales at Bestbuy..
when i bought macbook first, the price is $65 off.
now the prices is $150 off.
So, I went to best-buy one more time to get price match.
but the manager says I can't get price match because movers coupon can't use for sales product and mac item, and also I can't use both movers coupon and student discout coupon.
I read many articles about using both movers coupon and student discout coupon, and I have never read movers coupon can't use sales item and mac item.
I am not good at English, but I believe you can understand what I mean.
Let me know I can get price matching and using both coupons.

Can I use the Movers Coupon with this?

I bought a Sharp 70" TV. $1699.99 - Model: LC-70EQ10U
I tried to use a movers coupon but the system "Declined" it. I was told the movers coupon was probably used already, and I should try to get a new one from the post office. I was reading on the forum that some purchases do not qualify for the coupon so before I request a new coupon, I was wondering if I could get a definite answer. Maybe my coupon is valid, but not valid for this purchase.

I’m a television show addict, and let me tell you, I’d be ecstatic to purchase the TV you have your heart set on. I can imagine you were just as excited, so it’s regrettable to hear your Mover’s coupon wasn’t properly applying to your purchase as anticipated.
After reviewing the terms and conditions of the Mover’s coupon (found here), it seems that select premium Sharp TV’s are excluded from this particular offer. While I realize the word “premium” can be quite vague, our registers are smart in that they should have applied the coupon if your TV qualified. Keep in mind though your mover’s coupon must have been activated on the mymove.com/bestbuy site and the coupon couldn’t have been previously used.

I have an old iPod Touch with old software that can no longer be updated:

I've been searching for a solution to my iMessage login problem for months and tried everything from those frustrating links and all the tips from other users.
Here is what finally worked:
1) Settings > Privacy > Location Services > On
2) Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically > On
3) Reboot device until Apple logo appears
4) Settings > Messages > Sign In
