Why can't I use google earth in Malta?

Can anyone help please, trying to put google earth on my iPad and won't allow it says its not available. Also can anyone tell me how I can watch films or series as cant seem to do that either. Thanks

So I got my iPad a year ago. And I'm from Slovenia.
I see Google Earth is not visible as an appcfor us. aneuther can we installl Eurosport player.
As member state of RU,cthis annoys me.
If our money is okay to buy iPad,cwhy isn't it good to buy these apps or services as well ?
All the family takes advantage of this device.

How is it then that it's a free app, it should be also free then for EU (not RU), why shouldn't it be ?
On Windows, it's also free.
I heard jailbraked iPads can install it.
Something does not fit here. Which contract or licence... i wonder.

Just bought a Mac air. Been a long time windows 7 user. So far don't think too much of Apple's system. Why doesn't Google Earth download?

That sounds as if you're trying to access Google+ (their social site). This is the page you have to go through (to accept conditions) to download Google Earth:

Why can't I use google on Firefox?

I can open google.co.nz and get to the homepage. When I try to do a search, I get an Untrusted Connection error.
When I try to add an exception, I view the certificate and it comes from google. Firefox's error message then tells me the site has a valid, verified certificate and there is no need to add an exception. The "confirm exception" and "permanently store exception" options are grayed out so cannot be clicked.
When I go back to google, I get the same Untrusted Connection error.

That's a seriously random cause and effect...
but not the case, "this computer is set to automatically synchronise with time.windows.com"

Why can't I use Google as my search engine on Mavericks?

Since buying a new MacBook Pro working on Mavericks OS,Safari is acting really annoyingly.
I have Google as my default search engine in Preferences,but still it reverts every time to Yahoo when I search.Does anyone know how to overcome this?
Additionally on many sites,the backwards/forwards arrows no longer work,they are greyed out.I try re-emphasising them on Customize Toolbar but still it makes no difference.
Also,scrolling down a page has been made more difficult.
I don't know why Apple has made these changes.

Quit/close all apps and restart the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
You can try this as well.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

I really don't have an answer for that one. I guess that while trying to get things working correctly, I would use the most basic monitor I had which in your case would be the Eizon using the Thunderbolt port and adaptor.
When you boot into Safe Mode the startup is quite slow, but you should get the Apple logo and then the spinning gear below it (release the SHIFT key when it appears.) Then after a little more time you should see a gray progress bar appear below the spinning gear. When that disappears the computer will startup to a login screen.

I maintain my father's iDevices/computers as he has Parkinsons and does not understand the technology behind how these services work. I need to maintain as simple a configuration as possible. As an example calendaring is difficult as new entries are not necessarily put in the calendar he uses and I have to talk him through how to show all calendars on a regular basis. I can't have his mail on IMAP as he cannot manage his mail and his mailbox fills up. I can't simply pay for storage ad infinitum - my local copy of his mail is about 6 GB and growing.
I have seen several discussions where it is clear that we *must* use an icloud.com e-mail account for synching notes via IMAP, but none of them have explained WHY I MUST USE @icloud.com e-mail. If this is an IMAP based service why can't I use any other IMAP server
I see that it is referred to as an "icloud account" but if I have to enable mail, it becomes an e-mail account, which I do not want as it will be confusing if there is an issue with the main mail server (which I maintain) it will present an option to use the icloud.com e-mail as a valid option to send the mail.
I do not turn on the mail option in icloud.. (only calendar, contacts, reminders and find my iphone). I find it dissapointing that this is now what seems to be a "requirement".

That is absolutely unnecessary, but more convenient to have icloud to sync your notes. I use other IMAPs as well and can sync my notes with google and yahoo and icloud(corresponding email is required in all cases). It is your choice and you can pick your poison, but you will find out that icloud is more convenient after you or him will lose his info few times. There is no requirement, you can even use the group that will not sync with anything "on my device" if you disable all of IMAPS. Icloud is just the one that you can call Apple and normally people prefer to work with Apple support way more then with google's or yahoo's, but that is again up to your preference.

You're probably using IE11. This is a known problem with Internet Explorer 11, which Microsoft has been aware of since October 18 when they released their latest "untested" browser. The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser, at least until Microsoft gets their act together and fixes IE..

ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

Why can't i use command F in Notes?

Hi all, i recently upgraded my to a newer macbook. i used to be able to use command f to search my notes. i'm now using 10.8.2 and for some reason i can't search/find. i hit 'command f' i get the bleep sound. when i look at Edit > Find > Find, the word find is greyed out.
what should i do? i've tried googling and searching for a solution but the work 'notes' is too broad and so it brings up loads of irrelevant stuff.

Hi, thanks but no good. can you see how the 'command f' function is greyed out in the image below? why can't i use that 'Find' function? the box you've identified does a broad brush search to see if any of my notes contain a word but don't identify where the words are within the note. i have some notes with 10's of thousands of words.
does anyone know how i can use the traditional 'Find' function?

You need to be more specific about what doesn't work. The GPS works for me in a vehicle; when used with Google Maps its far more useful than the very expensive navigation system that was factory installed in my car.

This simple script:

fails with the following error:
     error "Google Earth got an error: Can’t continue GetCurrentVersion." number -1708
and with the following Console message:

The GE AppleScript dictionary has the following entry:
GetCurrentVersion v : Get the current version of the Google Earth client
      GetCurrentVersion record : record of major, minor and build numbers
→ list of integer : version fields
AppleScript and Google Earth work fine for other users on this machine. It only fails on my account.
I have tried deleting all vestiges of GE from the machine and reinstalling, but this hasn't worked.
Any other ideas?
