Why can't I use my backup disk with Yosemite? It does not seem to recognize my back up disk. What do I do? I don't want to lose my backup by removing the disk.
I can't find anyone else with the same problem.

iTech, First change your apple password, than go to 'setting' and than click on 'Facetime' and make sure your facetime email is right than retry. I presume you are talking about the Messages app.
To start it off you need to list an Apple ID that you want to use with the iMessages Service.
This can then be used to send and receive iMessages from iOS devices or other Messages apps
The app can also use the older style iChat Screen Names and IDs and these can be added the same way they were in iChat.
The "iChat Side" is the bit that does the Screen Sharing and it should cope with some one using two Displays.
What you have to remember is that two side by side displays may have to be shown on one 15" monitor and everything can look very small.

Apple computers allow add-ons because typically people aren't using their computer to make emergency phone calls and things like that like they do from the mobile devices, so the computers can afford to get errors and crash while it would be a huge liability for Apple to allow the phone's potential harm.

Why can't I use the iLife music with my iDVD project?

I thought I had been able to use some of the standard music that comes with iLife in my iDVD project, but now I can't figure out how to do that. Did an update make this not possible, or am I just going about it wrong? (For example, I'd like to use the "Lazy Day" sound clip as a background sound for one of the menus.)

My error.:( The sample music folder was in iPhoto. If you look inside the iPhoto and iMovie applications in the Resource folder you'll find a Music folder (iPhoto) and a iMovie Sound Effects folder that contain the various sample audio tracks. You can COPY them to a folder on the desktop and import into iTunes, put them in an playlist and access them that way. I'm sure Garageband will have a number of loops or sample tracks that you can copy also.
If you're looking for some audio to use try http://www.freeplaymusic.com/. They have tons of free audio tracks, jazz, country, alternative, blues, business & finance, children's, hard rock, instrumental, etc. They come in 30 sec., 60 sec. and full length for each song.

I'm using macbook air with the latest Lion update 10.7.2. And I also use WD Mybook Life (NAS), the problem is I can not use WD Mybook Life because the software ( WD quick view ) doesn't appear (gone after rebooting my mac) and doesn't work with Lion OS. Can anyone help me. thx a lot.

Why can't i use the ftp functions with a built file

I have created a report program that connects to an MS Access database and generates a series of reports from it. i also wanted to give the user the ability to download the database. we haev the database stored on a server at a different building. i have used the labview FTP function in the internet tool kit. the program works fine in the development mode. however if i build an application the ftp call fails to work. i have added traps so that if i get an error i will know it. unfortunatly the program flows through with no errors but the database is not copied.
i have also written an ftp function which works in the development mode and the application mode with no installer, but it does not work in the apli
cation mode with an installer.

I am troubled by by the solution. It makes me nervous when functions behave differently in the two environments. Have you run this past NI support?

Why can't I use in browser editing with synchronized text?

I have created a muse site that has a desktop version as well as a phone version. I have synchronized the text on the site and I want to enable in-browser editing, but it tells me that I cannot because my server does not appear to support page redirects. Upon further investigation, I have found that PHP 5.1 or greater is needed. My server is running 5.3. I spent an hour on the phone with adobe tech support last week, and that was a joke. Any suggestions?

.htaccess is a file. I would expect there to be one in each folder that represents a website.
Every export from Muse 2014.2.0 (or later) will attempt update this file or will attempt to create the file, if there is none. If you're not using synchronized text, the file will contain an empty section that's maintained by Muse that will look like the following:
# Begin Muse Generated redirects
# End Muse Generated redirects
If you're using synchronized text, there will be a series of commands that associate the new *.php file names with the former *.html file names for any pages that use synchronized text.
I frankly don't know what would cause GoDaddy to be refusing to let Muse create or update this file. If the file doesn't exist, you might try using File > Export as HTML from Muse and then manually put the .htaccess file in place (with Filezilla, etc.). Once it's there, perhaps subsequent FTP uploads from Muse will be able to update it.
