    You are not talking to Apple here... we are all just users like you and have no inside knowledge of why FT is not operable over 3G, except for what Apple has said about the subject. I suspect it's a bandwidth issue.

    That's an account-level setting on the iPad.  Presumably you use your cell number as your Facetime account credentials on your phone, and the iPad is linked to your account as well?  You can go into the Facetime settings on the iPad and change what accounts can be reached on the iPad or used to make Facetime calls.  Same goes for Messages.

    iTech, First change your apple password, than go to 'setting' and than click on 'Facetime' and make sure your facetime email is right than retry.     Maximum number of three icloud accounts had been created on that particular device. There is no limit to Apple id creation - that is why no problem with imessage or facetime.

    iPhone automatically registers your phone number for use with FaceTime and iMessage during activation.
