Why can't I use my password on app store,but it works on my computer?

Today I got my iPad Mini and I started to set up things for the appstore. Then I entered the apple ID and password ,but it says "Can not connect to App Store."
I looked online to see if my password was right, and it was but it still didn't work on the iPad Mini.

    Credit cards do need to be from the same country as your account, which may or may not apple, but if you're visiting from another country and trying to use, for example, a UK card in the US app store, it won't work.
    Could you have typo'd a number? Or could the card be expired?

    Correct. Apple quietly removed the ability to use debit cards some time ago:

    Accepted payment types
    Shopping the App Store requires an iTunes Store account. When you create an iTunes Store account, you must provide a payment method for your purchase. The available payment methods vary by country, but typically you can use credit cards, gift cards, store credit, or PayPal.
    The iTunes Store Terms and Conditions also mentions credit cards only, not debit cards.

  • Why can't I use my password to verify my email?

    I am trying to update my email on my Apple account. I successfully did this, but I could not switch the account on my iPhone because I needed to sign in, and my Apple ID changed because I updated the email. The settings for iPhone don't allow the user to change the account used (I don't understand why this is the case, and seems like a design flaw), so I had to change my email to the old email so that I can delete that iCloud account from my phone and start fresh with a new updated email. 
    Now, when I've changed to my old email, I need to verify it. Even though I know what my password is, every time I try to verify the email, it says I have an incorrect Apple ID or password. I have tried using old passwords, and my current one (which works because I can sign into my account online), and I have tried multiple Apple ID possibilities, but without success.
    I'd appreciate if I could have help with the verification process so that I can update my email. Thank you.

    Can you login? Are you logged in? Are you using an admin account? What application is looking for a password?

Yesterday, 48 hours after I rented it, I tried to change to the US app store but they are telling me I can't because I have rentals that have not expired, even know it's been more than 2 days since my last rentals.   • Why can't I use the password I want?

    Skype's password policy is pretty much forcing me to use a password that is not as secure as I'd like. From repeated attempts to enter a variant of a password that http://howsecureismypassword.net/ reports would take "About 297 quintillion years" to be cracked by a desktop PC, I've been told that the password is
    a) too long - Unless you're incredibly concerned about storing a few extra bytes... too long? O_o
    b) does not contain a number - for a password as secure as the one that I'd like to use, I really don't think it needs a number.
    I'm trying to use a system whereby I can re-generate passwords for a site quickly and easily without re-using passwords, but backwards policies like this are keeping me using my old, repeated passwords that are far less secure. Is there any chance that this can be changed? At least remove the length cap?
    (I know that 20 characters and one number generates a very strong password. This is not what I'm concerned about - what I'm concerned about is that a user really should be able to not worry about weird password rules that vary from site to site so that they can use a method that universally works and generates strong passwords)

  • Why can't I use the Column Browser for my iPod when connected to the computer?

    In iTunes 11, I can use the Column Browser while viewing my music library on the computer.  But it's inexplicably not available for viewing the music on my iPod when it's connected to the computer to sync.
    The Column Browser is the simplest, easiest, most elegant way for me to review what's on my iPod, and create Playlists from my music and CD books.  It was available in 10.7 and is available on the computer, why not the iPod????!!!???
    Why mess around changing something that isn't broken - after all these years why can't that option still be available?  It doesn't have to be the default, just be available. Will I have to downgrade to 10.7 yet again????
    And you don't even have a relevant category for me to choose from below!!  It makes sense to me that you provide a general "Using iTunes" category.

    Thanks for your reply, but I've already done that and the Column Browser options are completely grayed out.  I've taken a screen shot and hope I can paste it in here.  You'll see I have the sidebar open.  That's the way I prefer to deal with iTunes.
    This happened after I updated to iTunes 11.0.4.  Perhaps that changed the setting options. I think I had the Column Browser option prior to that, but I just got a new iPod and I was busy loading stuff, so not completely sure if it worked before the update.  But I think I would have noticed, because it bugs me so much not to have the option.

    You can't use iBooks on a desktop. You may want to give the Kindle app a try.

    Try signing out of iTunes & App Store then signing back in.
    Settings->iTunes & App Store.  Tap on your Apple ID then select sign out
    Restart your iPad
    Now, open Settings->iTunes & App Store - sign back in.
    See if you can update now.
    if not try Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings
    You won't lose any data but will have to log back into your wifi networks again,
