Why can't I use 'open message in conversation' anymore?

We are 4 users and two of them have version 24.3.0 and two are on 24.4.0.
We use the option of 'open message in conversation' a lot and all of a sudden this option is no longer available. Is there a setting which could have been changed to make this happen?
The only thing that changed was that I rearranged our folders using 'manually sort folders' - could this be it?
Any messages with a thread from before yesterday are still available with 'open message in conversation' but anything from the afternoon yesterday are not even showing the option when you right click and using the short ctrl swift O is doing nothing.
Any suggestions what could be wrong are very welcomed.

Unfortunately the add on changed the whole layout in Thunderbird so had to remove it.

  • Why can't I use my self-made ringtones anymore?

I've been using Amadeus Pro for over a year to convert sound files from .mp3 .m4a and .aiff to "iPhone Ringtone".
I don't know why the process of putting the ringtone on my iPhone 4 stopped working, but it's a major disappointment to me..
Usually, I drag the ringtone straight over from the Finder window to the iTunes window and drop it in the ringtone section, then plug in my iPhone and put the ringtone on it's own ringtone list, and test it out by setting the sound as my defalut ringtone.
Today, I dropped the ringtone over my iPhone as usual, and it showed up on the music section.
I deleted the ringtone from that list and opened the sound file in the Finder. Then, opened the ringtone section in iTunes. I manually dropped the ringtone file into the ringtone section on my iPhone's list, iTunes flashed the names of a few song names across the progress bar, and did nothing at all but mark the ringtone with a double-arrow circle. I clicked on the ringtones in the iTunes ringtone folder, it played both perfectly. But still, my iPhone refuses to recognize the existance of the sound files in the correct destination.
The sounds I tried were A: the "purr" sound I located in the system files, and B: a segment of an adult male Grackel's voice I recorded with my iPhone.
Both were edited with Amadeus Pro, saved as "iPhone Ringtone", and put through the same formerly tedeous-but-reliable process.
My question is: Why did this process stop working?
My hypothesis is that it has something to do with the latest iPhone update.
Detailed delineation would be very helpful...

Is ringtone > 35 seconds? If true then you have to shorten it.
Check using Get Info in iTunes, is Ringtone has Ringtone in Kind?

    HI Ana ...
I had FB working again two days ago, and yesterday in mid-serve Safari just "couldn't find the server" once more...
    That's a different issue...
First, if you can just use English, open System Preferences > Language & Text then select the Language tab. Drag English to the top of the list then restart your Mac.
Now for the server issue. Try using Open DNS. That shold help the "couldn't find the server" issue...
Open System Preferences / Preferences then select the Network tab. Click the Advanced tab then click the DNS tab.
    Click +
Enter these numbers exactly as you see them here.
    208.67.222.222
    Click +
    208.67.220.220
    Then click OK.
Try accessing Facebook on Safari now.

  • I just bought a new Mac and migrated my CS6 over.  Now when I open it, I'm told I'm running a trial version of Cloud.  Why can't I use my CS6 version that I purchased?  I don't want to pay for something I've already bought.

Here's how to convert the Trail to Permanent:
    On receiving Trial/Trial Expired screen
Make sure that you are online
    Click on license this software
Perpetual product owners: Log in with adobe ID and enter product serial number
    Product should be licensed successfully

  • Why can't I use adobe flash player to open attachments

Why can't I use adobe to open attachments - have downloaded latest version but still get a black page

You're probably using IE11. This is a known problem with Internet Explorer 11, which Microsoft has been aware of since October 18 when they released their latest "untested" browser. The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser, at least until Microsoft gets their act together and fixes IE..
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

I was able to fix the problem with some help from Apple. Whenever I last downloaded Reader, I apparently didn’t complete the process by accepting the Reader contract. I was able to go right to that point in the process and complete the installation. The messages that I needed Reader but it was already installed were quite confusing. It would have been nice if the Adobe installation process that I was re-trying this morning had been able to detect a partial installation. The Troubleshooting page almost had me doing some ridiculous things that wouldn’t have helped.

  • Why can't I send i-message and use facetime with my iphone 4s(BTW, there is nothing wrong with my apple account))

Why can't I send i-message and use facetime with my iphone 4s(BTW, there is nothing wrong with my apple account))
It functioned well originally, but a month ago I could not use facetime and send i-message anymore. I think there is nothing wrong with my apple ID because I can still download apps in apple store.

Try turning both iMessages and Facetime off in SETTINGS then re-enable iMessages and then Facetime. See if that helps.

  • Why can't i use messages with my apple id

Every time i try to use messages or iCloud and i put my apple id in it trys to validate, then shows a message saying it cannot validate my apple id yet i can still log in to apple store and iTunes.  Why can't i use this apple id for messages?

Try now. There was an Apple problem when you posted.

  • Why can my daughter use my cell number on her iPad for FaceTime and I message

Why can my daughter use my cell number on her iPad for FaceTime and I message

That's an account-level setting on the iPad.  Presumably you use your cell number as your Facetime account credentials on your phone, and the iPad is linked to your account as well?  You can go into the Facetime settings on the iPad and change what accounts can be reached on the iPad or used to make Facetime calls.  Same goes for Messages.

  • Why can't I get open type features to work properly with an open type font on InDesign CS5.5?

I installed a very complete set of styles of an opentype font with Font Book – Mac OS X 10.9.4 – but when I tried to format a sample text on InDesign CS5.5 I noticed that I could not use the opentype features on the Open Type menu as I usually do.
    Could anyone help me, please?

It's ffScala Sans, but has separate files for small caps, figures, etc.
I was trying to use small caps, lining figures and superscripts when I
noticed none of the OT features are available.

  • Why can I not use my gmail account calendar on my MACbook Air?

Why can I not use my gmail account calendar on my MAC, when I try to sync it, it says "secure connection cannot be established" Is there a setting I don't know about?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

Why can I not use mobile link in reader on window Vista?

    Hi sze wing,
Please tell us a bit more--what do you mean by "cannot use"? Do you get an error message? Or are files not syncing as you expect?
Have you double-checked to make sure that Mobile Link is on? Please see Acrobat Help | Mobile Link: open once, read anywhere for instructions on enabling Mobile Link, if it isn't already enabled.
If it is enabled, and things still aren't working as expected, please let us know what issue you're facing, including any error messages.
    Best,
    Sara

I have an old iPod Touch with old software that can no longer be updated:
    iOS version 6.1.6
I've been searching for a solution to my iMessage login problem for months and tried everything from those frustrating links and all the tips from other users.
    Here is what finally worked:
    1) Settings > Privacy > Location Services > On
    2) Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically > On
    3) Reboot device until Apple logo appears
    4) Settings > Messages > Sign In
