Why can't I use scroll/trackpad swipe to go back/forwards on timeline in QT on windows?
I use two fingers to scroll and multitouch on other applications. I have tried to install both older and update to newer versions of QuickTime, but nothing works. I need this function when analyzing movements of fish for a masters project. If no one knows how to fix this, does anyone know any other program that can do this?
Two finger drag in either direction works just fine for me.
You can also use the j, k and l keys to scrub through a video. A double tap on j or l will double the scrub feed.

Why can't I use the trackpad to change users?
I have a June 2009 MBP. I updated to Maverick's recently, although my problem dates back to Lion. When I log out to change users the trackpad does not allow me to click on another user. The mouse will respond to the movement, but when you try to tap or click on another user to log in it does not work. My magic mouse also doens't work at all once I log out. Right now I keep an old USB mouse handy just for switching users.
Any thoughts on why this happens or how I can fix it?When login screen appears, try to hard click the trackpad to register the click.
Tap to click will be only enabled after you login.

It would appear that apple has managed to p1ss off alot of ipad one users in one fowl swoop, what makes it worse is that fact we were the early adoptors who got asked, why do you want a big iphone for? and then spent time showing people how good it was! actually promoting it for apple! and then to get this kick in the teeth is frustrating! i wish i had known about xcode before!

clearly they were planning on releasing this update to us, otherwise on the spalsh screen it would have stated ipad 2 only, note in the sentence above it states it CLEARLY makes a reference to ipad 2 for airplay, so, whatever the problem, they can fix it and they know it works! -
Hi, my MacBook Air is not working anymore if it's not connected with the power cable. It's pretty new so I can't imagine that the battery is dead already. Why can't I use my MacBook Air without the power cable even though I charged it for hours?

Why can't we use iTunes gift cards with family sharing? After Christmas, we now have lots of account credit we can't use. Very frustrating. There is no option found for using account credit.
I just logged out of my daughter's account and back in, and now it works. Deducted from gift card account balance. So I hope this is resolved.

This feature will only be available when the new update ios6 comes out in sept or october and will only be for the iphone 4s or the new ipad if havent got one of these devices then facetime will only work over wifi the reason apparently the older devices are unable to handle it requires more processing power.

I've been searching for a solution to my iMessage login problem for months and tried everything from those frustrating links and all the tips from other users.
Here is what finally worked:
1) Settings > Privacy > Location Services > On
2) Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically > On
3) Reboot device until Apple logo appears
4) Settings > Messages > Sign In -

Credit cards do need to be from the same country as your account, which may or may not apple, but if you're visiting from another country and trying to use, for example, a UK card in the US app store, it won't work.

Best thing to do is go to your email, hit reply on any email and find the backslash on your keyboard. Select the Backslash and then cut/copy it into your mail settings or wherever you want to use it.
