Why can't I view downloaded video?

I have downloaded a video but am unable to view it. I only see the play button at the bottom of the screen against a background of darkness.

the latest version 11.1.83, I think..
I decided to uninstall itunes, restarted the cpu, then reinstalled itunes by downloading from www.itunes.com.
Unfortunately, my previously downloaded movie was still in the Unwatched list.
Got a dark screen again. I also tried to play a previously downloaded movie and I got a popup from Windows saying that there was a problem with itunes and that Windows would close the program and let me know if there was a solution.
I repeated the process of uninstalling and reinstalling itunes again. Same result.

Why can't I view my videos on icloud?

Hi. I've been having a hard time finding my pics/videos on my PC. I recently downloaded the iCloud b/c I thought I lost all my pics/videos after I did the iPhone upgrade. Now I see my pics on my files from iCloud,but no videos. Where could they be? They're not under any videos on my PC.

Also, when I connect my phone to my computer, I have it set to download my pictures and videos to Kodak Easy Share, it starts to download, get's to 99%, then it shuts down...telling me that it's not connected anymore. Nothing is downloaded.

Why can't I view my video?

I am new on PP CS6 (trial version). When I try to import my video file (.mov from a Canon XF professional movie camera) it tells me "codec missing or unavailable". What codec do I need to fix this, or is there something else I can do to remedy this proble? I was thinking I might be able to convert these files to H264 files. Is this true? will it help? The files are substantial in size (17-22 gigs) each - there are four.

Why can't I view music videos in landscape mode on my new Ipod Touch 5? I was able to with my first generation Ipod Touch.
I hate viewing a small version of the video. If there aren't any fixes to the issue, there is no point in purchasing music videos. Clicking the screenlock icon doesn't work. It just allows you to view the small video in any mode instead of seeing album covers.

Why can't I view my icloud backups on a new apple device using the same icloud id? Unluckily I lost 4 iphones in 2 yrs. all had same icloud acct on them, so when i log on to locate my current iphone on my macbook or on new iphone, it shows a list of all the lost iphones and their data take up.
When i click on settings on my ios> go to icloud > storage & backup> manage storage:
LOST IPHONE 1- 4.5 GB DOCUMENTS & DATA : it shows PREVIEW 1.2 MB PAGES1.6 MB TEXT EDIT91.6 KB PHOTOS 3.2 GB
LOST IPHONE 2- 3.2 GB DOCUMENTS & DATA: it shows same thing just different gb's mb's kb's
LOST IPHONE 3- etc.......
but you can't click on those documents & data to show what exactly they are so you can move them or save and delete. If I go into icloud there's nothing there from that long ago. is that data deleted? if i were to get that certain iphone back and turn it on would the pics, docs still be in icloud? it says all that room in my icloud is still taken up so where can i view it?? anyone know??

If you haven't already, you could force-quit Quicktime by using the menu option from the desktop (finder) and choose Quicktime.
Not sure what you have frozen on the screen, be it a failed movie, or some unusual screen shot. If you can find by date (created) you may be able to look for .mov or quicktime suffix name or other video file content to delete it.
And you may have to restart your computer and perhaps run repair disk permissions from Disk Utility's first aid on the hard disk drive in your computer.
Not sure if all that would help now, but it is something a few days late...!

QuickTime is capable of playing more video formats than the iPad. The iPad can play M4V, MP4 and some MOV format videos. It can not play formats like WMV and FLV.
One thing you can do is to convert the video formats on your computer.
A free program that can do it is HandBrake, which is available for both PC and Macintosh at <Download>.

I understand that Steve Jobs said in 2010 that it was a dying technology however lots and lots of sites still use it and I am tired of needing my laptop every time I want to use one of those sites. This includes large companies such as BBC, Lottery etc. can I download another browser and it will work, eg if I don't use Safari?

You can download another browser if you want. You'll have to read the AppStore descriptions for browsers that claim to support Java and then try them out.

Hi. My camera is a Canon 600D. And yes my videos are stored in the Aperture library and they are not referenced. Even then I tried to select all the videos in Aperture and clicked 'consolidate masters' and there was a messge that said all 'none of the files are referenced',... so they didn't need consolidating.
I also tried preferences> export> external video editor > choose > iMovie. And then right click on the video to edit with imovie. Even then the video didn't show up in iMovie. It seems like the only option for me is to import the videos directly to iMovie which means there will be two versions of the same file stored in my computer eating up space.
APPLE. What are you doing?
