Why can't image appear properly on Photoshop CS4?

Why does this happen? Is there something wrong with my computer? Please help!

That looks like a classis video driver issue, or a corrupt file.
Let's start with the video driver first:
What OS version are you running?
What is your GPU (video card/chip), with both the make and model?
What is the version of the video driver installed, both number and date?
Is that the latest video driver for your OS from the nVidia, or AMD/ATI Web site?

In Photoshop CS4, .png open/save support was provided by a plug-in. It is possible the plug-in has been deleted or moved, or has become unavailable to Photoshop because of a change in file protections.
Do you have the file PNG.8BI on your system. It should be here on a 32 bit Windows system:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Plug-ins\File Formats\PNG.8BI

Ok, look at your files in Photoshop. What is the profile assigned to them? You can find this out by going to the Status bar at the bottom, clicking on the right-pointing triangle and choosing document Profile from the list.
Then in Windows, go to your Control Panel > Color Management and add sRGB (if it isn't there) and select it as your default profile.
I hope that will work.

You should be able to see normal layers, but PSE doesn't understand layer groups/sets or comp layers. The inexpensive add-on elements+ from simplephotoshop.com will let you expand layer groups. (If you also have Premiere Elements installed you should be able to see layer groups in PSE without adding anything.)

I Can't Open VIDEO LAYER on PhotoShop CS4

I cant speak good english im sorry but i will try Before 1-2 mounts i can open video layer on Adobe PhotoShop CS4 .. Now when i open video layer on Photoshop , the layer is WHITE . You updated Quicktime or your Windows Media Architecture, used a different CoDec in your video, use an incompatible Codec to begin with. Furthermore, you could have upgraded your graphics card drivers, messing around with hardware accelerated playback. Really not clear. you need to provide more info about the matter, even more so, as you use non-standard video player software in your demonstration video and it's unclear, if any other tool based on Windows Media Architecture or QT would play the videos without problems. and please, don't use excessive formatting in your posts, it is bad conduct and very impolite to "scream".

the canon 5d markIII camera raw files to dng copies which should then open in photoshop cs4.

Saved images appear as 72dpi Photoshop CS3 Extended

Hi
Suddenly my images which have been saved at 300dpi are coming up as 72dpi when I re-open them in Photoshop CS3 Extended.
I create a psd file at 300dpi, work on it, save it as a maximum quality jpeg/png etc, but when I open it up in Photoshop again it appears as 72dpi. Even the finished jpeg/png file sizes seem too small. I'm creating business cards and graphics for customers and I must know they are saved at 300dpi.
Can anyone help? Do you think I may have a bug? Fairly sure it's fully updated.

One qualification is that my comments were derived from Photoshop CS4.
In that setup a file saved in SFW at 333 ppi and with the All meta data box checked produces a jpeg file, which when opened in Photoshop, shows the resolution (from the Image size dialog box) to be 72 ppi.
If I then click on File > File Info > camera data it shows the resolution to be 333
If I look at the so-called Raw data in the SFW file I indeed find the resolutions specified
Photoshop Version difference ? Perhaps. Or, maybe I got one of the platinum editions . So for CS4 I find that when I ask to have the meta data saved via SFW it seems to happen.

Why do 3 images appear on the quick launch instead of one?

I installed Firefox 14.0.1 and when I click the first time on the quick launch icon and Firefox loads correctly, immediately 3 layers of the icon images appear on the quick launch. and when I "RED X" out and go back in I get a half screen of my bookmarks in gray!

I would like to have an image appear only during the review of the matching game. . . i want to place a symbol legend so that the user knows what the green hand, red hand, check marks mean. Is this possible?

Anyway, none of the three versions of 6 has yet the system variable cpInReviewMode. You'll have to create your own user variable, will label it 'v_review' to track that. You don't tell if you allow multiple attempts on Quiz level? The idea is that this user var has an initial value of 0 and will be toggled to 1 when the last Quiz attempt is done. This is possible by creating a conditional advanced action, triggered on entering the Score slide, something like:
   IF cpQuizInfoAttempts is equal to n      (n being number of Quiz Attempts)
      Assign v_review with 1
     Continue
ELSE
     Continue
Create your image (or text container) on the question slide, that you want to show up during Review and make it hidden in the Properties panel. Beware: the objects on a question slide are always on top of the stack, put that image where it is not beneath a quiz object. And for the On Enter action of that slide create another conditional advanced action:
IF v_review is equal to 1
    Show image
    Continue

I can't open .CR2 files in Photoshop CS4

I'm unable to get the .CR2 files from my new Canon Rebel T3i to open in Photoshop CS4. I just got this camera and I never had this problem with my old camera (Rebel Xsi). The raw files from the Xsi will still open, but not the ones from the new camera. Can anyone help me understand why this is happening?

I can't download my old Adobe Photoshop CS4, "The Installer Database is corrupt"

I've recently bought a new laptop and I'm trying to install my Photoshop CS4 that I purchased years ago.
I've tried both the Akamai Downloader and the files from here: Download CS4 products
Both result in an error that says "The Installer Database is corrupt. Please contact Adobe Customer Service."
What can I do? I spent money on this program and I have the serial number listed in my Adobe account.

There are a lot of beautiful Lightroom presets out there, I do not have Lightroom but PS CS4, Is it possible to use Lightroom presets in Photoshop CS4? If so how do I import them ..ie: do I need to change the extension to a filter, action, and lastly which folder do I place them?

While they're not importable, you can simulate your own presets to your liking, and store as many as you wish.
