Why can't itunes connect with my nas after last update

There seems to be a problem with smb nas servers after yesterdays mountain lion update as I can no longer get iTunes to accerss it. I can mount the nas on the desktop and access all files from it but itunes and finder fails to connect.
anyone got any suggestion?

It didn't work for me either.
My Apple store don't know the answer and have suggested that I connect to a computer and do a full reset and install iOS6 again.
Not too sure how to do that yet.

You must have had find my iPhone on, or it was locked by your phone carrier.
Call your our cell carrier first.
then log on to a computer to iCloud to erase your iPhone.
NOW... You will be able to setup with a backup.

Iphone 5 no longer connects to my PC after last update OS8.1

Firstly I am not a "tech" expert and really do not understand the whole lingo etc - in fact I find it VERY overwhelming whenever I have an issue that needs to be solved with all the massive volume of technical jargon thrown around and end up being totally lost and frustrated - so if there is anyone who can help that will be just wonderful.
I have an I-phone 5 and a Toshiba PC which runs Windows 7 - easy so far.
I use my phone for a small business (otherwise I wouldn't have one at all) and when I go to do quotes I take photos and then downloaded them to my PC for future reference (I have ALWAYS been able to do this by simply plugging my phone into a free USB port (always use the same one for all devices) and away we go all works great.
HOWEVER, since the last 2 updates my Iphone will no longer connect to my PC. After the first one was botched (the one that was recalled quickly) and OS8.1 (which I know have) - whenever I do this exact same procedure my Iphone does no longer appear.
How do I make it work again - the simple, easy, straightforward way that it used to (I guess that since the Apple thing has now been "improved" and made "better and easier" for me it will be impossible to do?

If I understand correctly it sounds like your phone hasnt been recognized in iTunes on your PC since the last couple of updates. I would use the troubleshooting in the following article which will walk you through the steps one by one.

ITunes does not see iPod after last updates

It seems that many people have this same problem, but I do not see any solutions. I recently updated my iTunes to the latest version and did the iPod updaters. Since this, my computer at home and work no longer recognizes my iPod. I keep getting something asking me to restore my iPod, but i have a bunch of pictures on it that I do not have saved anywhere else. Doing a restore will erease everything on my iPod.

Well, that was annoying.
I just went through the same grief being reported by many other users here: I updated my iTunes on Windows XP, and it stopped recognizing my iPod. (Plugging in the iPod would actually kick off iTunes, but after coming up, iTunes refused to see the iPod.)
It's working again, and it did seem to be related to network drives. However, I wasn't very disciplined about trying a single step, seeing if it worked, then proceeding to the next step, so I can't guarantee which specific step(s) below that actually solved the problem.
But for what it's worth:
1. I recently (a day or two before updating iTunes) mounted a new network drive, assigned to drive "G:". My iPod has been "F:" since I first installed it.
2. When iTunes stopped seeing my iPod after updating, I tried resetting the iPod's drive assignment to "H:".
(Unfortunately, I also tried everything else, including restoring the iPod to factory settings...it's now updating something like 1500 tracks.)
3. Resetting the iPod's drive letter as suggested in another thread didn't seem to do anything by itself, however I ALSO UNMAPPED THE NEWER DRIVE ASSIGNMENT DESCRIBED IN STEP 1.
4. Now here's the other stuff I did before trying it again, which may or may not have contributed to the fix:
- I undocked (it's a laptop)
- I moved the USB cable from the docking station
to one of the laptop ports
- I rebooted
After doing this, I plugged in the iPod, and ALLELUIA BROTHERS AND SISTERS, it was RECOGNIZED ONCE MORE!
Give me an AMEN.

We have recently bought an iPod for our son....could this affect my account?

1. Make sure internet is working
2. Make sure iPad is using the latest software
3. Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
4. Make sure Time Zone is correct
5. Try restart iPad

With my old macs, if someone had an internet cable, I could plug and go. But with my LION, I'm not able to connect easily to the internet. Can someone tell me why? I've run the network preference diagnostics and that doesn't help. Also, I turned off my firewall and that doesn't help either?

If it works with another computer it should work with the mac running lion. I would suggest going to network preferences, Select ethernet, and then click on the little settings gear icon at the bottom left and make sure that it isn't set to inactive.

Technically, they're not the same, sometimes two bands have a name that sounds the same except it's written slightly different. But yes, you can solve it pretty easily:
1. In the search field, type 'Beatles'.
2. Once all your Beatles music is there, be it The Beatles, the Beatles or the beatles, select them all.
3. Press 'Cmd + i' to display the track information.
4. In the Artist field, write the name such as you want it to be.
To unify your songs that belong to the same Genre you'll just have to follow the same steps but replace 'Artist' with 'Genre' in the field you'll be editing.
You might have different cover art and thus create a mess in cover flow if your files are imported from a cd and not purchased from the iTunes store, especially if you added the cover yourself. The way to correct this is similar to the one described above.

I was updating my phone while errors came up and finally I got rid of those errors. Now there is this message saying "the iphone cannot be restored at this time,because the iphone software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable, please try again later ". what should I do?

Why won't iTunes sync with Iphone 4s after upgrade?

I recently upgraded to iTunes 10.7.0.21, now my iPhone 4s will not sync via iCloud or my computer. When I plug the phone in, it starts a sync session like normal but it will not complete the sync. I get an error message that says "iTunes could not sync information to the iPhone "Scotty's" because a connection could not be established to the iPhone. Yet, the phone shows up in iTunes.

I'm having the same issue. iTunes sees my iPhone 4 and I can access the contents via itunes, but the sync won't work - it starts to sync, then states, "waiting for sync to start," then after a few minutes ends up with an error, stating, "The iPhone "XXXX" could not be synced because the sync session failed to start." This happens whether I try to sync with iCloud or my computer.
I tried rebooting the iPhone, rerstarting the computer (Mac Pro with 10.8.1), switching out the cable - all to no effect.
I downloaded iOS 6, but I didn't want to install it until I can successfully perform a backup with my computer - just in canse iOS 6 install fails.
Any ideas or suggestions?

I just reinstalled the computer (windows xp home edition) due to spyware but now I cannot access the internet..
I am sure that the router is working and that the adapter works as well as when ever I check, it says that I am "connected to the access point".
But I still have NO access to the internet.

Since you re-installed your Operating System, usually you need to reinstall the adapter.
But in your case, the driver is still there.
Linksys adapter has its own utility. same as with windows. Linksys has Linksys Monitor and Windows got Wireless Zero Configuration. Now, when both of them are running, that's the time you cannot access the internet because they are conflicting.
try this.
Click on START --> Run
type " services.msc" and click ok
scroll the page on the most bottom part and look for Wireless Zero Config
Right click and click on " start or restart"
Then click on start-->control panel
Click on network Connections
Look for Wireless network Connections & right Click on it.
Select "view available wireless networks"
note: it would usually say if you have configured another program.. use that software.
Look on the left side of the window
Select " change the order of preferred networks"..
check the box that says " use windows to confgure my wireless network settings"
try to view the wireless networks now
You should see your network and just cOnnect to it.

Connection with airport impossible after security update

I'm new on mac computers;
after downloading the security update, i have a problem with my airport. The airport is working, it detect my Livebox, knows it name. It ask me to give the WEP key to access to this livebox a message. i give it and then it says that an error occured while connecting to this livebox.
My code is good, my livebox is on association position (to accept new computer,...)
Someone could help me?

Thank you for answer but it didn't work. The message written is the same message than the one you have when you enter a wrong WEP key: "an error occured while accessing to the airport network "livebox- XXXX"". Is that can be a problem of security? Maybe the network can't access to my computers keys?
