Why can't my computer film in 3D

I am trying to film a 3D movie through my computer camera and it doesn't work. Is it that my computer can't do it or do I have to find a certain software program? If so, which one would be best?

3D recording requires two cameras facing the same direction, preferably similar to a human's natural separation.
Your iMac does not have 2 cameras, so it cannot record 3D. There are consumer video recorders for this, but may use special bundled software to edit this content. You have to check with those manufactures as to MacOS support.

What is your program - Photoshop Elements 9 or Premiere Elements 9? If Photoshop Elements 9, you have posted in the wrong forum. You have posted in Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing). Although Camera Raw allows for the import of raw format image and dng into a Premiere Elements project as source media, you cannot "process" it in the Camera Raw dialog. You need Photoshop Elements for that.
If your program is Photoshop Elements, please re-post your thread in the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum or wait for a moderator here to see your thread here and move it from here to there.

Some information that might help as you take care of the above....
Does your current problem exist with and without antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
Are you getting an error message (number/code) associate with your Help Menu/Update?
The latest version of Camera Raw that is supported by version 9.0/9.0.1 seems to be 6.5. Do you have that currently installed?
If you cannot get the program's Help Menu/Update to work for you, then download and install Camera Raw 6.5 from the following from Adobe

What camera are you using to generate your raw format images.

Hi Folks,
First of all many thanks to all of you out there who published helpful tutorials or advices.
Here's my problem:
I have installed my Creative Cloud successfully and my CC Connector logged in and looked for updates and stuff - all fine. Unfortunately after that the connector gives the status: "No Connection to Creative Cloud!"...
My internet connection is OK, no local proxy, just Kaspersky Internet Security running etc...
My aim is to give material to a customer - so what went wrong?
Technical data:
OS: Windows 7 ultimate
PC: Chronos 7 (Samsung)
connected via LAN

Sorry bout that. I am running a mac with OX 10.6.8
I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers. When I go in to my system preferences and set up the options for my printer (HP OfficejetPro 8000 Enterprise), all seem well. However, when I actually go to print, I cannot choose to print from a tray/drawer.

Why can't my computer download?

I can't seem to download files anymore....when I select download there seems to be no indication of a file downloading. Instead, it appears in my download folder immediatly but not named. It simply appears as a list of letters and numbers followed by .doc/dmg or zip or whatever file type it is and then .part, e.g. CoA4BqBl.dmg.part. When I click on it it says there is no application to open it and sends me to the app store! I do not recal changing any settings and this happened suddenly when I was downloading some software updates
Does anyone know what the problem is and how I can fix it, please?

How? the program, the type file, the source and web page etc.
go to http://speedtest.net and check out that your modem and network settings and router are okay.
Reset or check your Network control settings? have you changed those or left on automatic?

Disconnect all USB and Firewire devices (except keyboard and mouse, if applicable.) Delete and try to recreate your Ethernet connection.

Why can't my HD to SD SHORT film look good? Best Encode?

I have a 12 minute short film on HDV. I imported it to FCP5 and then DVDSP4 and created an HD-DVD and it looked GREAT. Then I found out my computer is pretty much the only DVD player that can play the HD-DVD I had created. Thus began my journey to make a decent SD-DVD, and so far I am not even close...
HERE'S WHAT I'M DOING:
1. I used FCP to downconvert from HDV to DV (I don't have access to the camera to use it downconvert option). I'm sure this step is where the quality drops at least 4 generations!
2. DVDSP5 > Preferences > Mode: Two Pass VBR, Bit Rate: 5.5, Max Bit Rate: 8.5, Motion Est: Best
IMAGE PROBLEM:
Lots of pixelation in darker areas of the screen. Places i could see in HD are now just black and pixelated black at that.
TWO QUESTION:
1. My main annoyance is this: When I burn the DVD, it only burns about 20% of the DVD (HD-DVD would use 60%). I have the space on my DVD-R, why can't I utilize this space and burn 90% of this space with data to make my film look good?
2. iDVD did a better job of making the SD DVD look good. So I know there is something i could do. I've never used Compressor. How can I encode my HDV for use in SD DVD environement in DVDSP5?
Any help will be much appreciated... I hope answers to these questions helps others as well...

Thanks for your reply -I hope i can clarify below.
Yes i have been editing the sequences using native HDV 1080i.
When comparing the output of the converted formats here is what i did.
I have a Sony a HC1 HDV Camcorder. I captured and edited all clips with native HDV. Then i recorded back the HDV material back into the camera (HUGE issues with doing this in FCP - but ill leave that to another thread)
From there i did two things
1) I sent the native HDV Final Cut sequence to compressor and set it to DVD, 90Min, Best quality, 2pass VBR. I burned a DVD with DVDSP4 with this encoded sequence
2) i played back the HDV Sequence from my sony camcorder back into the television directly - but using the composite video output (not using the high definition component output).
3) I set my Sony HDV cam to output via firewire as standard DV (eg - i let the camera do its own HDV to DV downconvert). from there i recaptured back into FCP, compressed with the same compressor settings, and sent to DVDSP4
I compared side by side the content from all three options. Hands down Options 2 and 3 looked MUCH better than option 1.
Here is what i noticed
1) A lot of motion artifacts with option 1. This especially when the camera pans and moves. I think this has to do with the way interlacing during downconversion happens. If i run the FCP sequence through a de-interlace filter it actually does come out better - though not as smooth since you are loosing 1/2 the frames.
2) A lot of digital artifacts. pixellation and such like. It looks almost like one of those old VCDs in terms of image quality.
I had searched the forums and found that many other people are having the same problems - so i know that i am not alone on this one (unfortunately). I do find it frustrating that a very expensive >$1000 application suite which claims to support HD has so many issues with editing in HD (this is just one of the issues.. others are that you cannot reliably export HDV back to tape, there are issues with editing multi-cam with HDV with more than 3 sequences... etc..).

You likely had FF 3.6 instead of 6. At the moment, FF 4 is the latest version. If you wish to rollback to an earlier version, you can download your preferred version for your OS here:

FF 4 is the latest and greatest. If you are not experiencing specific problems that force you to roll back to an earlier version, you will probably want to stick with FF 4.

They can, but not at the same time.
If one user left iTunes running, and another user tries to use iTunes from a different Windows user ID, that second user will get an error message. If they really want to use iTunes, they either have to beg the first user to log in and close iTunes, or else they have to restart the computer.
If you are asking the technical reason why, it is something about context switching.

Why can't I use the Column Browser for my iPod when connected to the computer?

In iTunes 11, I can use the Column Browser while viewing my music library on the computer. But it's inexplicably not available for viewing the music on my iPod when it's connected to the computer to sync.
The Column Browser is the simplest, easiest, most elegant way for me to review what's on my iPod, and create Playlists from my music and CD books. It was available in 10.7 and is available on the computer, why not the iPod????!!!???
Why mess around changing something that isn't broken - after all these years why can't that option still be available? It doesn't have to be the default, just be available. Will I have to downgrade to 10.7 yet again????

Thanks for your reply, but I've already done that and the Column Browser options are completely grayed out. I've taken a screen shot and hope I can paste it in here. You'll see I have the sidebar open. That's the way I prefer to deal with iTunes.
This happened after I updated to iTunes 11.0.4. Perhaps that changed the setting options. I think I had the Column Browser option prior to that, but I just got a new iPod and I was busy loading stuff, so not completely sure if it worked before the update. But I think I would have noticed, because it bugs me so much not to have the option.
