Why can't my Photosmart C8180 see my virgin super hub, when it sees other distant routers?

I am running Mac OSX 10.7.2. I have a Virgin superhub. My Photosmart C8180 will not detect the hub using the Wireless wizard, but sees other networks in the area. I have tried setting a fixed IP address within the range the router permits. Still nothing.
The drivers etc have been updated for Lion ffollowing the instructions on the HP site but still no luck. Can anybody help?
Diagnostic summary  reports:-
Radio On: PASS
Radio Working: PASS
Ethernet Cable Not Plugged In: PASS
Network Name (SSID) Found ; FAIL
The remaining six diagnostics report NOT RUN

The blue light above 802.11g on the front right is lit.
The printer works fine when connected by USB, but not with wireless.

Could be you router wireless security set as WEP (Share)?
If so, try setting it to WEP Auto or open and check for any change.
