Why can't simply launch iphoto then double click on a jpeg in a file folder
Really...??? I am a new Mac guy trying to learn about iphoto... Mind you, with photoshop I can click on a photo file anywhere on my Mac without creating a library... What's the necessity for a freaking library...??? First thing iphoto asks me is to do is create a library... Why the trouble, how do I get all my photos into this library...??? Is it even worth the trouble...??? Does iphoto have the value...???

If you want a windows type file manager then iPhoto is not for you - it is a photo manager using a SQLite database and it does have a learning curve - it does require a library - it is not a photo viewer
It is simple to learn - try starting with the tutroials
Or use a different program - iphoto is totally optional

On the bottom bar of the window (on the left iPhoto 11, on the right in other versions) note the slider. Drag it left.

While using my iPhone the system behavior changed where I now have to click on the app to select it, then double click to launch it. Same goes for entering in my password to access the phone and entering digits to make a phone. I am also having trouble swiping the screen to move to the next page. This is no longer working. I did not change any settings, the phone just started behaving this way. Any ideas on how to revert back to the single click selection/launch? Any assistant is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions. -

IPad2 All data must be selected then double clicked
I have owned a iPhone for over a year. My new iPad2 3G has a unusuall problem. Every field selection of where you want the data to go must be highlighted and then double clicked to get the info into the box. All letters and numbers entering the box must be double clicked to display in the box. To shift from letters to numbers you must double click the number/letter key then select and double click on the key again. I can get into the Settings but there is no selection displayed for the double ckick feature to be turned off. Also I can not scroll the data up or down in the Settings area.
Yes! I left it on to help me learn the iPad. Turning it off will now allow me to scroll up and down in General section.

With Mavericks I have to hold command key down and double click to get a sub folder to open in a new window. Can I go back to just double clicking ?
Of course. To do it, open a Finder window, go to Finder menu (on the menu bar) > Preferences > General, and untick "Open folders in tabs instead of new windows".

How can I OPEN files I just downloaded? They're on the DOWNLOADS screen of Firefox but I can't open them even after double-clicking? And they're not on the FOLDERS as well. Even the right-click is not working ... the "open containing folder" does not work.

Unless you have attempted to downgrade to an older version of iTunes this is likely to be a sign of a corrupt library. See Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.

I am using a MacBook Air, OS X ver 10.9.4, mail ver 7.3. Intermittently I can not open individual mails when double clicking on them. I must go out of mail and back in before mail will open.
