One of the things I really liked about O2 was the My O2 App that gave easy access to basic information about my O2 Accounts. It worked well. Now they have gone and "updated" it! The same information is available though they have re-ordered it so that UK Data usage is at the top of the page instead of at the bottom ( achange which no doubt required 6 months beta testing) BUT the really annoying change is that instead of presenting me with a menu of my accounts when the app opens (as was previously the case) it now appears to open at the last account viewed. Why? What was wrong with the way it was?

This happens with maybe 1 out of 5 files. These are files that have either an ."aa" extention, or or are libraries that icloud can see, but finder can't.

Files beginning with a period are invisible and library files are system files. Spotlight cannot find either unless configured to do so (btw, this is not a Finder issue but a Spotlight issue.)
Get Spotlight to search system files (and more)
Enter the search term in the Finder window's search field.
Click the [+] button in the search bar to add a search option.
In the first drop down menu choose Other.
Choose “System Files” from the list that pops up (and check the box to place in drop down menu to avoid this step later,) click on the OK button.
Now back in the Finder choose Include from the second drop down menu.

What you're missing is that diagnostics software doesn't cover everything in any laptop made by anyone.
Intermittent problems, and genuine hardware induced faults typically, or course, are hard to pinpoint.
jet fighter planes contain 1000s of sensors and multimillion dollar live diagnostics and still can't "see" more than 60% of hardware potential faults.
Lucky you, the Air however contains extremely few parts, there isnt much to diagnose on one.
The Air contains 90% fewer parts than a typical laptop from a mere 7 years ago.

Why can access the dynamic textField inside a Button?

yep, I have another problem
I create a button in the library, it has a background graphic
on a layer and a textField, the textField has a instance name
defined in the properties panels and some text. I manually place
some instance of the button on stage, I give them different
instance names and voilà a new problem arise
when with actionscript I try to assign a new text to the
textField inside a button it throws me error 1119. A quick look at
the menu option debug ->list objects, shows me that the instance
name of the textField inside the button it is not what I defined
but it was replaced with some random name like "instance66"
I did a test with a movieclip instead of a button and I can
correctly access my textField with the instance name that I
manually defined.
Why that can be the same with the button? And if for some
arcane reason cant be possible to access a manually defined
instance inside a button WHY flash give me the possibility to give
an instance name to a dynamic textField inside a button?

Buttons simply do not have the same properties and methods
that movieclips have. Anytime you want to create a button that has
anything beyond the simple 3 states of activity, use a movieclip.
I can't answer why flash allows you to give an instance name
to the textfield, but in any case, it won't allow you to use
it.

Why can't the APPLE TV use AIRPLAY SPEAKER-OUT for movies/videos?

I can't find one good explanation on why the Apple TV can't use the Airplay Speaker-Out for Movies/Video content; only for audio/music. Does anyone have any insight into this?
For example, I have a video on my Macbook Pro (or my iPad or my iPhone) and I can stream the video via the Airport Express to my 2nd gen Apple TV, but I can't stream the audio of this video from my Apple TV back to the Airport Express and the speakers attached to it. If I had digital speakers connected to the Apple TV I assume it wouldn't be an issue, but at the moment, I only have analog speakers connected to the Airport Express... and I CAN do this with music only content, but then it becomes silly because in that case, I can just as easily stream music directly to the Airport Express from my chosen device (iPhone, et al.) without going through the Apple TV, but for video/movies, you need the Apple TV for the video; yet you can't use the Speaker-Out for the audio of that video and it just doesn't make sense, unless I am missing something...
Any help is greatly appreciated (a google search came up with nothing useful at all.)

It's not a flippant answer, no-one here will know for sure why Apple have chosen to do this. So in light of the fact that you won't get a definitive answer here, I suspect it doesn't matter because you aren't going to change anything, you just need to accept it.
FWIW, I don't think licensing issues have anything to do with it. I think Apple expect you to have a sound system connected by either HDMI or optical and on that basis any connection via an airport express would be in another room and why would someone in another room want to listen to a movie without being able to see it.
Apple differentiate themselves from others by providing features that everyone wants, they don't cripple their creativity by catering for the few like other companies. I'm sorry but I suspect you are one of the few here.

Why can't the Boot Camp Utility find my Installer Disk?

I'm trying to use Windows 7 Proffesional on my MacBook Pro (running on Mountain Lion) with Boot Camp, but whenever I am partitioning on the Boot Camp Utility it tells me that the Windows Installer Disk cannot be found. I have been able to get Windows 7 free from my college and it was all digital so I did as suggested and burned the .iso file that was downloaded to a DVD-R. When prompted I put the burned disk into my disk drive. I can find the disk in Finder and it shows that the .iso was burned successfully but the Boot Camp Utility will not detect it. I'm not sure what I have left to do, but I would like to get this problem resolved. Any suggestions?

I tried burning the ISO to a disk on the slowest (2.4 is the slowest offered on my computer) twice. Both times the burns didn't give me any error messages and the ISO was found on the disk, but Boot Camp Utility still will not detect the disk.
Any other suggestions?

Why can't the Instrument Wizard detect my GPIB instruments?

My system has the AT-GPIB/TNT card. I can detect the GPIB instrument connected to the card with "Measurement & Automation" but when I go into Labview Instrument Wizard and try to find the GPIG instrument, all I see is Serial ASRL1 and ASRL2. What can I change so that I can detect the GPIB instruments in Instrument Wizard? I've tried everything. I have NI 488.2 v1.60 installed and NI VISA v2.01. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Make sure that you check the box next to "GPIB" on the second screen of the instrument wizard. Also, make sure that what you are seeing in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) is the most recent case (refresh your screen). It is possible that the instrument is offline, but since MAX doesn't automatically refresh everytime a change is made, it may appear that the instrument is still being detected.

Any chance I can recover the photos and other things on iPad after installing iOS7

After installing iOS7, my photos, all apps/games had gone. I can see the photos from a data recovery programme but couldn't recover them. Any chance that I can restore the previous version and recover all the data?
I didn't back up as I have changed laptop recently too, so the last back up time was long time ago.

I updated on iPad. As I had new laptop, so I didn't back up anything on the new laptop, the old one was long time ago, so photos taken recenlty had all gone. I can see the photos from a data recovery programme (trial) but is there any way to recover them without buying the programme?

Why can't the Menu Bar and the Navigation Tool, share the same line?

With the Menu Bar and the Navigation Tool, now on separate lines, there's all this wasted space right above the address bar. What mental giant thought this up?

You can move the items on the Navigation Toolbar to the Menu bar if you want to have them on that bar.

Note that you are not able to click items on the menu bar if you hide the menu bar to get the Firefox menu button and use Alt or F10 to display the Menu bar (it is a bug).

When using the placholder attribute in an input field with a dark background, why can't the blinking caret be white on focus?

Chrome and Safari both do this, making it clear to the user that they're in the field and ready to type. Currently the caret will take the color property but only once the user has started typing. This seems like it would be a worthwhile feature to bake into the next build of FF.

My problem is that I can only iterate through this
once in the page whereas I have no problem doing
multiple forEach loops through other types of
lists/collections such as an ArrayList. Right, because a ResultSet is a database cursor and doesn't act the same way that an ArrayList does. It's more like an InputStream - once you read it, you close it. If you want to re-read it, you have to re-initialize it again.
Iterators behave that way, too. Once you walk through them, you have to re-initialize them.

Please help and thanks in advance!The better thing to do is for your method to return a List of objects, one per row, that represent what the ResultSet returns. Have that method iterate through the ResultSet, loading the rows into the List, and close it before you leave in a finally block. A database cursor is a scarce resource, so it's a good idea to close it as soon as you can.

In Photoshop Elements (13) - why can't the filters be downloaded all at once?

In Premiere Elements, the effects can be downloaded all at once - it takes awhile but it's convenient. Why not the same for Photoshop Elements? I think it used to work the same way in previous versions.

Well the question remains – why, in this version, can’t they be downloaded all at once instead of one at a time. Sure, I don’t need ALL the filters at the outset, but it’s nice to just be able to get it done. On the CD/DVD version... well... that was then, this is now.

Why can't the bloody window get the right size?

I have a huge problem with graphical components... and I doubt that I'm alone with it. This concerns how to get the bloody windows to be laid out with the correct size. Java never wants to have the window sized as I set it. It's always different, and the size changes when I change platform. If I set the size for a JFrame in a Windows-environment, and then run the program on a Solaris environment, the window has a completely different size. Even when I switch from the CDE desktop to KDE or Gnome, every new environment presents a new way of laying out my application's windows, with different sizes.
Now, I have tried to get rid of the problem through various tricks... obviously the setBounds(x,x,x,x) method is a complete fake... that's when most problems occur. So I tried with the pack() method together with setting the preferred size of my components. That works better, but it's not even near to make me satisfied. The windows don't change dramatically with platform change, but a few pixels here and there.
It drives me crazy! I shouldn't be this hard to set the size of a normal bloody window! I can't believe that I still haven't figured out a failproof way of sizing my windows.. (I'm using the null layout, so I need to have exactly the correct size at all times)

it's as simple as this. I want the space used to lay out components to be the same on all platforms.
I could just as well explain what I mean with "the space used to lay out components" too. if you set a Frame or JFrame to "undecorated", the only thing showing is that space... simple enough. but with frame decorations, such as title bar, window borders (used to resize windows)... it's not as simple, because these decorations differ on all platforms. even between windows-versions... windows XP has a far larger title-bar than windows 2000 (and earlier windows).
so what I need to do is to make my program to lay out the window, so that the area used to lay out components is the samt, independent of the decorations used on the particular system you're working with.
I think it should be clear enough now...
but I also have to tell you that I feel I'm as close to a solution as one could possibly be. because I took a peek in the bugs database and saw that there is a bug concerning the window size and position on KDE under linux, which is the platform I'm testing this on (apart from windows 2000/XP) so I might have solved the problem, just that java itself is buggy :)
I don't know, but I'm going to test it on different environments in Solaris this week... CDE, GNOME, KDE... such.
I used the setSize() method together with getInsets() to get the sizes of the decorations... but that method has to be called for after the JFrame is set visible ( show() ) so I have to resize the window after it is set visible and then hide() and show() it again... strange... but it might work now.

MORE - Why can't the exe of my project access the external swf files?

I have created 12 training modules and one menu module - see attached diagram.
I need to deliver the training modules on cd/dvd to the students.
I wish to create a player that the students can use that will open the menu and allow them to select the lesson they wish to view from that menu.
I wish to have this happen in a stand alone player as we have experienced erratic playback issues when trying to use this same method via a web browser.
I have created a single slide module executable that launches the menu, then from the menu each of the other modules are to open in the same window as the menu and be viewable by the student. Once the module has completed the student should be returned to the menu screen to pick the next learning module, again this all happens in one window.
Currently this is not working. I have used Rollover slidelets as the buttons and the action available(Open another project) leads me to believe what I wish to do is easily possible from within Captivate.
It's not working, I get no errors so I can "debug". The executable and all swfs are in the same directory and should open with no problems - but again they are not and without any error tracking I have no idea why.
What I am trying to do is SIMPLE and should be - yet I have wasted more than 8 hours trying to make it happen.
The above scenario has been possible in Director and Flash for more than 10 years. Being new to Captivate this seems completely possible from the options available.
Captivate Aggregator is not a solution as it has too few customizable options for a fluid and non-confusing user experience.
I tried to create a simple player in Flash, however then the TOC in each Captivate created .swf file cause problems when used.
Anyone have any answers to this????

Actually the option to open another project is precisely what you would use when linking EXE files in the manner I suggest.
It has always worked for me but then again, I've not tested using Captivate 6 so I suppose it might have become broken.
As for having dozens of files, there is actually a way to structure links so that you store certain content in folders that they would have to navigate to. I'm guessing here that you are thinking if all files are at the root level of the CD, it would be difficult to determine which is the "menu" file.
There is also a way to use a freeware application that fools the computer into thinking files are being accessed from a web server. The application is called Server2Go and I've recommended it to others for deploying on CD. That way everything could be SWF based (smaller files).

Why can see the jsp code in browser?

I just setup completely the oracle application server downloading from OTN website.
I have created a new OC4J instance 'appweb' in enterprise manager wizard form.
I can look at the jsp code on the browse when I request the demo application instance.
I try to deploy a WAR into the 'appweb' container that is been builded by the JBuilder 7 IDE,
then I can't request all jsp page ,as the browser is normal getting the error 404 message ,but
the jsp page is sure of.
Q2:
I want to change the http server Port ,but the application server can't been taken any request
servies if change the Port number '7777' in the http.conf file. why for this ??? Be sure , I
didn't change other configuration parameter.
