Why can't you download apps(like Flixster) to the Apple TV

Apple tend to provide regular updates with access to more content, they have added PBS and Yahoo in the last few days.
Nobody here will have any information about future updates since the community is only made up of users like you or I. Anything else is mere speculation and speculation is not permitted here under the Terms of Use for these communities.
Any responses you may receive may well be removed and would be wholly unreliable in any case.

When I try to download apps to my new iPad Mini, it tells me my billing info has to be confirmed. Could the credit card be expired?
Beyond that, what you need to do is contact iTunes support, they can tell you exactly what is wrong, none of us here can do that.
In the lower right corner of this page is a 'contact us' link. Click on that and you'll see a page full of info and links, one of which is iTunes support.

If you are searching within iTunes, all the Apps are for iDevices. To find Apps for the MacBook, you will need to search using the Mac App Store.

It seems odd that you can log onto TVNZ TV on demand and watch programmes directly on your computer and yet they won't let them be channelled through the Apple TV.
The Apple TV would be more use if it could access TVNZ [ say ] and play the episodes from there instead of having to go through iTunes.
I am a bit cross that Apple market the Apple TV with what it can do in US and yet it wasn't made clear that in New Zealand it is a virtually useless piece of kit.
I have been buying Apple products since 1985 and this is the first time I have been dissatisfied.
Having said that it may not be the fault of the product !! Just the country in which I am trying to use it.
That is another oddity in that New Zealand prides itself in being a World Leader in EFTPOS and internet banking and yet is so abysmal at entertainment sharing !
A very compliant nation where having fun is frowned upon !

To install Mavericks, you need one of these Macs:
iMac (Mid-2007 or later)

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2009 or later),
MacBook Pro (15-inch or 17-inch, Mid/Late 2007 or later)

Xserve (Early 2009)
Your Mac also needs:
OS X Mountain Lion, Lion, or Snow Leopard v10.6.8 already installed
2 GB or more of memory
8 GB or more of available space
Since Mavericks requires 8GB's or more of free disk space, control click the MacintoshHD icon on your desktop or open the Finder, right or control click startup disk in the Sidebar on the left then click Get Info.
You'll see Available and Capacity. Make sure there's at least 15% available disk space.
If installed, disable anti virus software before downloading Mavericks.

Why can't i download apps on iphone?

Hi guys
I got my new iPhone 6 yesterday - and am having issues with it straight away.
When i try and download apps like Chrome or Sky Sports, I click the Get button, then Install - but it just refreshes and goes back to "Get"... has anyone else had this?
I'm connected to wifi - so it's not a signal issue.

It may help to sign out of the iTunes Store, restart your iPhone, then sign back into the iTunes Store.
Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores.
Tap your Apple ID.
If you see the option to Sign In, you can change your Apple ID now.
Tap Sign Out.
Enter your Apple ID and Password and tap Sign In.
Or if you don't have another Apple ID, tap Create New Apple ID.

I have captured the install log. Right now I don't have the Sever.app and related files in the system. But log shows the server is running or installed today. I have seen MiniLauncher tag (don't know what it is). And if the server is running, it is not appearing in the Activity log.

It's not Apple's choice. All content is licensed by the rights-holders to Apple to sell on a country-by-country basis, each country therefore has to have its own store and you have to be in a country to use its store. You can try requesting that the app be added to the UK store, but unless the rights-holder agrees to it then Apple can't sell it here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.
There's more to try but let's go a bit at a time.

Sorry, but you cannot change it. The store has a hard limit on the maximum size of what it will allow to be downloaded over any cellular data connection. The only solution at this time is to find a wifi node or download in iTunes on your computer via a wired ISP connection.
